Please, I have a question.

This question might have been addressed here b4. So, pardon me if i ask again.

If someone successfully makes it to final list and is handed the APL, but tests positive
for say HIV which he/she is already aware of and is managing.
Is such a person disqualified and his/her APL nullified.....

Said another way.....
Does acquiring the APL guarantee the resumption into office of the candidate.....
If No, then what other particular criteria(s) can render his/her APL void....

No. Jonathan signed a bill protecting HIV positive people in work place and in search of jobs.

I'm not sure they do HIV test among the medical tests.

And if they do, I doubt they would discriminate based on it

But na Naija we dey, what do I know sef.

If you get better lawyer and they discriminate, you fit sue and earn enough for early retirement grin grin

i feel your pain bro, I applied for a vacancy in the EH category that requires a minimum of 9 years experience. I have been somewhat fortunate some may say to rise to the level of a manager, but everyday i wake up, i feel empty and not so fulfilled. People say to me, in this economy, you should be grateful. Perhaps, i should be. But the truth is, i don't enjoy what i do anymore, coupled with the fact that the person i report to, (a director) wants me to get fired. She has made it her life's mission. I resigned earlier in the year, but my MD refused to accept my resignation, telling me i was too valuable to the organisation, but on the other hand, my immediate boss, still keeps making my life miserable. From, countering instructions i give to my team, to reporting every minute error, to talking down at members of my team. Anyone associated with me becomes her enemy.

Note, I'm not necessarily that laid back when people come for me, but her father is a major shareholder, so, how do i win this war? Only God can vindicate me.. I resolved to leave, but my MD refused to let me go, and in all honesty, it's not smart to leave without having a back up plan. This NNPC recruitment came at the right time and was meant to provide succour, but alas this same Nigerian factor rears it's ugly head again. I may be working, and i may have been able to build my career to an enviable point within this period, but let me tell you, i am even more desperate towards this NNPC recruitment than some GT hopefuls here. Even, with all my life experiences, i may have lost hope in this recruitment process, and by extension, the country too. I just spoke to my fiance and i have resolved to relocate to another country, perhaps i should have done that earlier.

I am pretty sure, some people may also be experiencing something similar to mine, or even worse. Some people may not understand what i am talking about now, but always pray and hope that wherever you find yourself (work place) you are surrounded by people who have your back, and that your superiors are amiable people. I will still implore everyone to keep hope alive. All we seek for, both GT and EH is to provide better lives for ourselves and loved ones, and i pray God answers all our prayers. God bless you all. Cheers!

PS: Before anyone asks. The reason she doesn't like my guts is because my MD didn't think she was qualified to be a director, and would rather have me as the Director. But he had no choice but to give in to powers beyond him. i guess the idea of having me as her boss made me enemy number 1, Lol. Apologies for the mini epistle, hope I didn't bore you guys? God bless.

Don't know much, but I believe false documents and positive drug test, are most likely the core criteria for annulling the APL.

And hey wink on the side
Someone corrected me, so I'll do the same:
Singular- criterion
Plural- criteria

As well as life threatening sickness like hole in the heart and so on. HIV can be managed so it can't stop you from working....Drug abuse is another red flag...

Right... On my interview date, while we sat and waited, a physically challenged woman on wheel chair came around and everyone on sight was greeting her with so much respect, someone ran to open one of the automatic doors for her and she quickly stopped him with a 'thank you, i can handle myself'

Just something i remembered...

After wasting my time and money, I was dropped at the final stage of an internship recruitment simply because I lack experience in the role even though I displayed better knowledge of the role than the other candidate.

Wa what?

When exactly did experience become a criterion for employing interns?

Feb 2020, I'm leaving this country for y'all.

Much obliged to Sempumping, Poeticjustice, klassd and especially GospelEAPiano (for
the Criterion/Criteria correction cheesy ) for the swift response/reply to the query.

I asked because I heard somewhere that HIV, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis and the likes could raise red flags.
I asked also because I noticed most here are bothered more about not receiving APL and not really concerned
about the medical huddle they must cross after the orientation.

This got me wondering, and so I decided to ask.

so all these 2020-2020 guys ehmn! am not saying that you are wrong but just calm your veins and stop giving us what was given to you by a so called source who himself is giving a description! because he is not certain,

Bros Sempumping said it all, it's for documentation purpose, incase sth happens at work place they already have your medical history. I know people that got into ITF early this year with some of the ailments you highlighted up there.
