I believe nnamdi KANU has met with the EU, I believe nnamdi KANU has met with the UN in Switzerland and presented our case to them

And about participating in the one in America, go back and read the post well you missed something

So what will the EU and UN do? Declare that Nigeria be invaded so you can have your Biafra without Nigeria, her constitution and her democratically elected Government having a say in things? Why are you guys so fond of self-delusion?

Would they listen, they think any of those institutions can coerce Nigeria into giving referendum and Biafra. When you tell them that getting Biafra starts and ends in Nigeria, dem no go hear,
Since you do not want to resolve the issue of Biafra diplomatically with Nigeria using the people's representatives both at the state and federal levels, the only option is declare your Biafra illegally(war) and not all this waka waka.

Correct. Igbos can be very dishonest revisionists with how they choose to fraudulently manipulate history so they appear victims of injustice from others. Lengthy read below but anyone can read the bolded parts to grab the historical gist of the matter and one of the many acts of greed and misdeed of the Igbos that will eventually go on to cause so much problem for Nigeria. Igbos have also coveted Lagos and wanted her declared "no mans land". With Yorubas resisting this through the voice of its AG Party and threatening to secede if Lagos loses her identity as a SW State.

Noteworthy that, unlike lawless Igbos, the AG asked for a secession clause to be included in the Nigerian constitution to aid their legal breakaway. They did not just go ahead to illegally declare their own Nation as Igbos did with Biafra. The Igbo NCNC rejected the attempt of the Yoruba AG Party to legally enshrine a secession clause in our constitution myopically not realising they would be victim of this act of greed in future with their own fondness of double standard exposed with how the the AG and law-abiding Yorubas accepted they could not secede legally. When Igbos who had worked to prevent others seceding then decided they wish to secede, they would not accept the lack of constitutional backing to do this, as the Yorubas did, and would then go on to declare Biafra. What was Nigeria to do then? Does this not shows Igbos as an innately lawless people who wish to accept the position of the law when it suits them and reject it when it does not rather than be committed to it always as the Yorubas are?

It is glaring acts of hypocrisy like that, and many like it, that still typifies the inane approach of Igbos today to issues. They know what must be done to gain Biafra yet Kanu and IPOB will continue disturbing Nigeria lawlessly while their legislators who can push for legal and constitutional backing for the creation of Biafra show they don't want to know and would prefer feeding fat as Nigerian legislators. Knowing this, Igbos would still put their "they won't let us go" blackmail at the doors of Yorubas without blaming their own worthless, deceptive and two-faced leaders.

Igbos would never admit to their historical wrongdoing that got us where we are today. They would rather miseducate and indoctrinate generations to hate Yorubas and view us as the cause of all their problem. Whereas the reality is that they are the cause of their own problem and actually wronged Yorubas who have never showed a fear of being on their own. The chilling end to the article I submit in italic below show what the gang-up of the North and East against the progressive SW went on to do to Nigeria.Ironically, Igbos went on to be victims of their own treacherous actions they always conveniently forget when they blame our Yoruba fathers as'backstabbers' without the decency to acknowledge what their fathers did.

"The pre-independence alliance between the NCNC and the NPC against the aspirations of the AG would later set the tone for political governance of independent Nigeria by the NCNC/NPC and lead to disaster in later years in Nigeria"

Politics and economics of federalism
The British colonial ideology that divided Nigeria into three regions—North, West and East—exacerbated the already well-developed economic, political, and social differences among Nigeria's different ethnic groups. The country was divided in such a way that the North had a slightly higher population than the other two regions combined. There were also wide-spread reports of fraud during Nigeria's first census,[45] and even today population remains a highly political issue in Nigeria. On this basis the Northern Region was allocated a majority of the seats in the Federal Legislature established by the colonial authorities. Within each of the three regions the dominant ethnic groups, the Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba, and Igbo, respectively formed political parties that were largely regional and based on ethnic allegiances: the Northern People's Congress (NPC) in the North; the Action Group in the West (AG); and the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) in the East. These parties were not exclusively homogeneous in terms of their ethnic or regional make-up; the disintegration of Nigeria resulted largely from the fact that these parties were primarily based in one region and one tribe. To simplify matters, we will refer to them here as the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo-based; or Northern, Western and Eastern parties.

The basis of modern Nigeria formed in 1914, when Britain amalgamated the Northern and Southern protectorates. Beginning with the Northern Protectorate, the British implemented a system of indirect rule of which they exerted influence through alliances with local forces. This system worked so well, Colonial Governor Frederick Lugard successfully lobbied to extend it to the Southern Protectorate through amalgamation. In this way, a foreign and hierarchical system of governance was imposed on the Igbos (along with many other Biafran groups)[46] Intellectuals began to agitate for greater rights and independence.[47] The size of this intellectual class increased significantly in the 1950s, with the massive expansion of the national education program.[48] During the 1940s and 1950s the Igbo and Yoruba parties were in the forefront of the fight for independence from Britain. Northern leaders, fearful that independence would mean political and economic domination by the more Westernized elites in the South, preferred the perpetuation of British rule. As a condition for accepting independence, they demanded that the country continue to be divided into three regions with the North having a clear majority. Igbo and Yoruba leaders, anxious to obtain an independent country at all costs, accepted the Northern demands.

However, it would be wrong to state that the two Southern regions were politically or philosophically aligned and there was already discordance between the two Southern political parties. Firstly, the AG favored a loose confederacy of regions in the emergent Nigerian nation whereby each region would be in total control of its own distinct territory.

The status of Lagos was a sore point for the AG which did not want Lagos, a Yoruba town which was at that time the Federal Capital and seat of national government to be designated as the Capital of Nigeria if it meant loss of Yoruba sovereignty. The AG insisted that Lagos, a Yoruba city situated in Western Nigeria must be completely recognized as a Yoruba town without any loss of identity, control or autonomy by the Yoruba. Contrary to this position, the NCNC was anxious to declare Lagos, by virtue of it being the "Federal Capital Territory" as "no man's land" - a declaration which as could be expected angered the AG which offered to help fund the development of another territory in Nigeria as "Federal Capital Territory" and then threatened secession from Nigeria if it didn't get its way. The threat of secession by the AG was tabled, documented and recorded in numerous constitutional conferences, including the constitutional conference held in London in 1954 with the demand that a right of secession be enshrined in the constitution of the emerging Nigerian nation to allow any part of the emergent nation to opt out of Nigeria, should the need arise.[49] This proposal for inclusion of right of secession by the regions in independent Nigeria by the AG was rejected and resisted by NCNC which vehemently argued for a tightly bound united/unitary structured nation because it viewed the provision of a secession clause as detrimental to the formation of a Unitary Nigerian state. In the face of sustained opposition by the NCNC delegates, later joined by the NPC and backed by threats to view maintenance of the inclusion of secession by the AG as treasonable by the British, the AG was forced to renounce its position of inclusion of the right of secession a part of the Nigerian constitution. Had such a provision been made in the Nigerian constitution, later events which led to the Nigerian/Biafran civil war would have been avoided. The pre-independence alliance between the NCNC and the NPC against the aspirations of the AG would later set the tone for political governance of independent Nigeria by the NCNC/NPC and lead to disaster in later years in Nigeria. IPOB would never teach her followers such history, it was an Igbo man that resisted the secession clause in the constitution (Zik), an Igbo man that signed the anti-secession decree into law after crushing Adaka Boroh who recently formed his Niger Delta republic(Ironsi).

Fast forward to the present, since two Igbo men refused anything secession in the constitution, why not get it added into the constitution in the right way and manner? If they ain't too sure, is it a crime to go study how other countries with referendum and secession in their constitution had it put there so that it can be evoked when needed like in Scotland, Québec, etc?

IPOB and IPOBians deceiving themselves only since 1900

Correct talk bro. Indeed nothing has changed today and history still bears out the fact Yorubas are law-abiding, consistently fair, tolerant and principled people. Yet our Igbo brothers prefer to save their worst venom for us as if they have not historically wronged us rather than the other way round as they go around the world claiming is the case. Furthermore generation after generation prefer to wallow in ignorance rather than educate and enlighten themselves about the truth.

They say "the truth shall set you free" but when a people, by commission or omission, prefer to remain oblivious of the truth then why won't scammers like Oha-mumu-dike Kanu and Emma Powerless come to con them while their bank balance grows with donation from jobless and cash-strapped IPOB youth over a lost cause? IPOB leadership deliberate agitating for Biafra the wrong way to prolong the 'struggle' they know is doomed but they want to keep profiting from.

No, they can look into our case for self determination, if we are qualified under the criteria's set by the UN under the international court of Justice, Nigeria will be forced to give us a referendum to vote ourselves out of Nigeria, biafrans will vote whether to remain in Nigeria or separate from Nigeria

Why deceiving yourself with that, do you think that even the UN supports the breaking up of nations? When the UN security council members are the world superpowers and most do not have just a referendum for secession in their constitutions, US, China, France, Russia comes to mind.

The only time the UN CAN look into such a case is after years of unending war and strife, famine, killing and destruction of lifes for years and decades, then it CAN decide to look into such case, Eritrea and South Sudan comes to mind.

In Africa today, do you think it is only IPOB that is talking about secession, have you read about countries like Senegal, Cameroon, Angola, Tanzania etc with secessionist agitators and why the UN hasn't granted them or maybe you think that of IPOB Biafra is rather special.

Calling for succession is easy it can happen any day just like ojukwu called for it in 1967, but getting the recognition is the most important thing, and that's what nnamdi KANU is doing, ojukwu lost that war cause biafra lacked the recognition for other foreign countries to fully support them, by supplying them with weapons, fighter jets humanitarian aid etc

Somaliland has separated from Somalia for yrs but it's still struggling for recognition,
we biafrans have engaged in a civil war with Nigeria before and million lost their lives in that war,
at the peak of ipob agitation Nigeria will be forced to give us a referendum to avoid what happened in 1967 -1970, and if Nigeria refuses and another civil war breakout , all these countries nnamdi KANU has presented our case to at the EU will support us, nnamdi KANUs plan is to get as many country leaders as he can to recognize biafra for future support if war breakout

Haha...Fear don catch am. smiley

Once they are gone you will still have huge population. You can marry 10 wives as usual.

Can't you see that the country is not working?

APC government has spent N27 trillion already and there is nothing to show for it.

Even if you give Nigeria 10 trillion dollars...you will still have abandoned Ajaokuta steel mills, abandoned National stadium, un-working refineries, poor federal roads everywhere. Nigeria is not working and will never work.

The north said they have no plans...the same thing they said when the south wanted independence. You better start planning now.

Ghengheeeen!!! My people would be so ashamed of themselves after they see igbos leave the forceful marriage called Nigeria. I learnt on channels news recently that the EU,UK and the US have accepted their plea for a referendum in the region . Once the UN also acceds to this, they'd leave bloodlessly. I'm in support of this. My people should keep hubnubing with the fulani herdsmen all in the name of brotherhood. I cant wait to dance skelewu to this break up. The shameless Tinubu who had since lost his relevance in the south west would understand better what it means to be ashamed. We learnt our own osinbajo has now been relegated to a toothless bulldog by the fulani cabals. I urge my brother to just leave their govt for them before they stained his name.

Funny guy. I thought Igbos were criminals that contribute nothing to the economy and are irrelevant?

Igbos has asked for equality in their country for the past 50 years, but successive government have largely ignored them.

The situation will FAST TRACK by 2023..if the country fails to adjust in line of Justice, all things being equal.
