michealekene:This is a lie. I did reinvestment of interest in stanbic by February this year (primary @14.9%). I have my cert with me I didn’t collect any interest that month. That was how I knew how to calculate it. They invested till about few hundred naira left. And discounted the few hundred naira from my invested capital. 3M to collect 3.525M by February 2020. 3 Likes 1 Share |

jay7:your profit for a 91 day tenor of 10% on 150,000 is 15,000 paid upfront. N135,000 is deducted from your account and left with N15,000. This is your yield. At the end of 91 days, N150,000 is credited back to your account. Pure and simple 1 Like 1 Share |

akinonigbinde: N150,000 at 10% for 91 days gives you N3,739 interest without factoring applicable charges not N15,000 10 Likes 1 Share |

akinonigbinde: Wrong, wronger, wrongest. I = (P*T*R)/(365*100) Where: I = Interest P = Principal R = Rate T = Time or Tenor Therefore: I = (150,000*10*91)/365*100 I = 136,500,000/36,500 I = 3739.72602739726 I = 3,739.73. Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ibkonekt(m): 2:35pm On Sep 25, 2019 |
igbizen: From what i see here it is just the initial investment rate that was calculated. The true yield if you actually hold the tbills till the end of 365days. Then the total profit will be quite more 1 Like |

Do you know that the ATM was invented by John Shepherd-Barron. ATM was first installed by Barclays bank in 1967. P.S when did u first see an ATM? I'm conducting a research on the awareness of fintech in Nigeria. Fintech is the use of technology in rendering financial services. I've come to love this evolving field. Kindly assist with filling the survey. It's brief with 13 questions and should take no more than 3 mins. I'm quite sure that filling the questionnaire will arouse your curiosity and enlighten you on certain fintech trends. No personal information is gathered. Thanks in anticipation. https://forms.gle/Upa789S9KbNg49zg8 |

igbizen: You dont need to go through this long stress. just apply the formular below (Principal*100)/(100-rate) ie (3,000,000*100)/(100-14.9) = 300,000,000/85.1 =3,525,264 9 Likes |

unite4real: How would this work for secondary market purchases with tenor less than 364 days? If you use FBN, an even lazier way would be to collect your confirmation of investment. Your return, as well as applicable charges, would be shown there. No need for plenty calculation or mysterious formula. Sense (or laziness ) no go kee me Been a while since I learnt something new on this thread. Nice one! |
