This is the first time the embassy is using online appointments booking so no one could confirm that.

|

Hello, Theres really is no time frame for requesting for Sl, what is important is that you have it before your interview date so you can present it alongside your documents at the embassy. In a situation whereby you dont have it at the time of your interview, you can always send it to the embassy when you have it. No, you do not need an admission letter to apply for the SL, your sponsor only need to go to the german office where it done in his state. Your SL can be used for any school. You only need one SL. quote author=henrisco post=82562406]Dear Nairalanders, For those that have used sponsorship letter before kindly guide me. Can I start the process of requesting for SL from my sponsor before the arrival of my admission letters? Do I need an admission letter to apply for SL? Is SL tied to a particular school or it can b used for any school in Germany in the event of having many admission letters? Please my people help me to get things right. I am anxiously waiting for your responses.
|

Yes, I submitted the opening confirmation. You went to the embassy earlier, some rules might have changed after. I signed a small sheet of paper which stated that to further process my application. Tommynaku: |

I think they have changed the thing with getting AM without funding, a friend of mine got AM without funding and they sent another mail that stated that the first AM be disregarded and confirmation of blocked account should be sent instead |

I would advise funding before the interview. It is the best! Neefehmee2038: |

Good morning all, I have been trying to apply for MSc. programme taught in English language in German Universities but I have been coming across the requirement of proficiency in German language. Is this a must as I don't have any presently? |
Good morning families Please if I want to drop documents at Germany embassy, please do I go about and package it ?[/quote Bros...use courier service, because Mr Paulinus will ask you the mail you got from the embassy to bring those documents if you decide to submit it by yourself.. if I may ask, which docs do you want to send.. |
| Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by sassy92(f): 8:16am On Sep 26, 2019 |
Olami112:If it's your passport and travel insurance you want to submit, then print your AM along . If it's BA confirmation or SL, then just send it via courier. |
| Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by imoriafe: 8:19am On Sep 26, 2019 |

imoriafe:If you're going to a big city where they have lots of applications, it may take them time to process them all. Also September/October is the peak of winter period with thousands of foreign students resuming schools so the workload is much. Just calm down, If you're below the 6 week mark (i.e it's not up to 6 weeks after your interview) then don't worry. Find ways to keep busy and distract yourself instead of refreshing your mail every minute. Here's a general advice to those awaiting AM on how not to go crazy while waiting: - If you haven't, start doing research on your school and the city it's located. Connect with students in the school, you can find them here on Nairaland or on Facebook. Ask them questions and let them tell you about life in school, the city, student jobs, activities etc. - Start searching for accommodation, Housing in Germany is a big issue, and if you're heading to a city like Munich it's way more difficult. if you don't get accommodation, then you need to plan where you'll stay till you get accommodation ( Tip: avoid hotels and use youth hostels, They're far cheaper). - Start reviewing your course modules, education in Germany is not easy. Download your course modules on the school's website and start looking at the courses you'll take, get textbooks and materials and start reading. if possible, you can connect with a student doing the course and plead with them to send you materials. Start reading oooo. - There's a shopping list on the Nigeria Students in Germany thread, you can use it to start packing and preparing your things. May all those awaiting AMs receive their testimony in Jesus' name. |

Olaaa11:You definitely need Admission letter before requesting for Sl. Most Sl comes with your university address written on it. |
