There are two questions you probably didn't answer well.
Why chemistry and why Germany?
Can u please tell us what your answers were and what School you're going to

Fabricio07:
Had my interview today
TRANSCRIPT
I arrived at the embassy with my umbrella and was checked it immediately at 6:45.
I was the only person for students visa at that moment.
A fairly old and tall man with a very calm demeanor was doing the work of the famous Mr Paulinus so I was thinking; Mr Paulinus is too nice and gentle o judging from the way he was arranging the documents of the other Schengen visa applicants.
Soon, two other people joined me and he came over to us.
Called out the checklist, i was easily following him because I already followed the arrangement advice here.
The other guys weren't as fast, then he asked me to go get another copy of the admission letter. (I followed the advice that says you don't need the original if you didn't receive it by post.. I was wrong)
It was while I was on it that they told me Paulinus traveled and that man is deputising for him.
When I returned, I helped others to arrange Theirs and he checked us in.
I was interviewed by the friendly, smiling lady on dreads. Infact she was the only VO on duty today and the students are not much.
It was more like an informal discussion.

V.O: hand me your documents please (with a great smile and positive energy).
VO: Completes the preliminary session, gives me the payment receipt for visa fee of N29,500.
Fund your Fintiba and send me the confirmation to this email.

VO: Masters or Bsc? why Chemistry? Why Germany? Why not Nigeria? Why not USA or UK? Where is your school located? BSc thesis? Since you want to be a lecturer, you should hopefully do your PHD at once. Hopefully you get scholarship for that.
I was just saying yes Ma, I pray so too while I smile and nod my head like agama lizard.
VO: what do you know about Germany geographically, economically, politically? What position was the president occupying before he became the president? What is his political party? what is the longest River in Germany? What is the capital of Germany?
All these I answered correctly, then she asked, what is the size of the river? I said I don't know.
She told me..800 and something
.
VO: do you have any family in Germany?
Me: yes, a family friend and a school mate who is also schooling in this same school I am headed to. ( Freie University Berlin, by the way)

Then she gave me a Chemistry test...3 questions which I am very sure I answered 2 correctly.
VO: any questions for me?
Me: No ma!
VO: Ok, that will be all, we will communicate to you through the email.
Me: Thank you very Ma. Have a nice day.

I pray that God will meet all of us in our points of need in this German waka.

Thanks to all the contributors on this wonderful Nairaland family.

I booked an appointment since September 3 under category B, I have blocked since July, this is my second booking after I canceled the first one. I deferred my admission to Feb 2020.

Is it true that by the end of September we should all cancel our appointment and book again or I should leave it at the September 3rd booking, please I need a reply as I have already blocked my account and that huge money leaving me has cost me a lot yet I can't get a date.

February 2020 is another semester, and different policies with the embassy during interview booking. There is more certainty that you will be booking a new interview date when it's time for summer application.

All the best.

I beg you all please stop indicating any interest to stay in germany for a period more than the partcular study you are going for in the Visa Application, be it for Further Studies or anything. even when the VO tries to convince you to further ur studies, convince her/ him how your intention after ur study is to come back and get a Job or start up something. A friend was denied Visa also because he stated his intention to proceed with his PhD. NO! The Embassy expects you to finish one study, return to ur home country and not applying for further studies and scholarships. Please desist from that Trap

Is never a trap, it all boils down to ur conviction, boldness and reasonable.

Now in my case, I chipped in also that while am on this academic path to benefit my country in her environment brouhaha....

That I will also seek out a completion of MSc in this field because
Then highlighted the basic difference of the 2, talked about the importance of my BSc program
Then also revealed the specialized "applicational" approach of her MSc and how it will upgrade my competence etc etc etc.

Is just about conviction, boldness and does it make reason.
When u talk and don't feel the positive aura of ur motivation, then is a shamble.
It should be invigorating, intoxicating, d feeling must be contagious.
If u don't, just tell her u are rushing home, Nigeria to take up an appointment or job, simple
But going for further PhD is not a red flag if the purpose is palpable.

Technically it is. The embassy usually starts interviewing summer applicants from November. Some schools have released ALs for summer already.
I am of the opinion that the embassy may change the booking system for summer (THIS IS MY OPINION, NOT FACT). They may go back to the online or email booking system.

I know a school that will begin processing winter applications by February.

if any summer school is addressing summer students by February its either for enrolment or deferment and not collecting applications.

Infact if you wake up in February and miss applying from november1st to January. Just prepare to apply for winter

ThNk you all,
For the courses you listed above, the applications usually don't open till October/November. So just chill and wait. In the meantime, check the requirements of the schools you've shortlisted. Do you meet the requirements? Start gathering your documents and (if you're applying via Uniassist) money for uniassist, shipping your docs etc.

Hello all. I am new here. I have been reading from part 7.Thank you to every single one of you. You all are amazing. i am looking to apply for winter 2020 that's September 2020. I have a degree in biochemistry and my result falls below a 2.2. I have over 6 years working experience in the managerial sector.(teaching 3 and office management 3 and ongoing) I just finished ab advanced diploma in Management with 2.1.
1. I want to apply for masters in Health and also in Management to different schools? is this possible even though I have no working experience in the health sector?
2. My degrees are in English, do I need to write and IELTS? If yes, can someone help with this info?
2. I currently have no funding. How possible is it to get scholarships with my history?
3. Must my sponsor be a resident in Germany? I have one in Us?
4.What do to facilitate these process speedily?
5.please I need a sample of motivation letter.

2 Get IELTS done. In this waka, I've come to realize that if you don't do due diligence and get extra requirements handy...there will be problems.

3. It's better if the person in US sends you BA money. Cos SL requires the sponsor to be in germany not even Czech republic.

4. To facilitate the process get your documents ready. Start early if possible on the day the portal for applying for winter 2020 starts.

Nooooooooo. Just package yourself well, you'll need to explain to the VO why you're going for another Bsc and what you've been doing all these years
