If a player has been stung by misdiagnosis in the past or rushed back to early and suffered a recurrence of injury he might be reluctant to come back if not 100%. However i don't think a significant number of our players are doing that.

Pogba for example was rushed back too soon in our last match, especially when he had to play 90 mins. Rashford is another example of someone who has played through injury and been rushed back to soon but always tries to make himself available.

The only obvious culprit is Martial but he appeared to have turned a corner this season in terms of work rate and desire until his latest injury so i will give him the benefit of the doubt.

In terms of stupid business, i always said Ed was the number one problem above any player or manager. As long as he is in control of football matters i see no light at the end of the tunnel.

As per Ed. There’s nothing to indicate this will change anytime soon. Going by his latest public statement, the club isn’t really looking for a technical director. He’s just goin to make a little change plus a shift in core transfer philosophy.

Been watching him for about 18 months. Very good solid midfield general. My only issue with him is that sometimes I think he holds onto the ball for too long. Not sure how he would do in the premier league but he definitely has the right basics.

Rashford had a good start but didn't play long enough under Gaal for a proper judgement

I disagree with some things. Gaal was our best after SAF but he mismanaged Di Maria. Di Maria began on a brilliant note with great individual play and sexy goals and Assists. But Gaal was too poor to spot that Blind was too weak and slow to play the DM behind Di Maria. So when we lost badly to Leicester, Gaal changed Di Maria position from left midfield diamond (where he excelled in Madrid) to left winger. He killed him. Di Maria despite being sent to the benched was still among the highest on Assists.

Rooney deserved to start, forget newspaper criticism. He was better than Falcao, Mata even Mkhitaryan under Mourinho. Some good counter attacking play happened because he was involved. He and Di Maria did some. Rooney was still number 9 during the time we played our best football since Ferguson. Martial played mostly on the left even during the start of his Career, he was brilliant throughout the season considering it was his first season as a teenager in a shaky team.

And martial was one if not the most Important player in our team as of then, dem no born van gaal well to drop martial.
