I used NYSC too and it worked 100% as I am a PR now..Claim 12 months. Because technically it is..if you count from camp day 1. But make sure the dates you use indicate 12 months. You don't need to upload Nysc certificate during your application.Just make sure where you served use a letter headed paper for the reference
and they put those dates indicating 12 months exact or more...among the other compulsory requirements for the reference letter..

Thanks for sharing.... Thank God you're here to verify you used 12 months exactly.

My conscience couldn't just let shut my eyes to 11 months stuff because a friend's application was just refused for same reason 5 months post ITA. She felt she had 3 years but the VO calculated as 2 years and 10 months.

I have her GCMS notes so when I was sounding ridiculous yesterday, it was just out of serious concern for those that would go ahead with 11 months.

VOs don't joke with requirements but wetin I sabi sef.......

I beg lemme come and be going.

Ok, going through nairaland has got me second-guessing my submitted application. I used 80% gift deed which I transferred to my stanbic mutual funds. I only attached the transfer receipt showing the transfer from my dad to me. However, I attached the recommended bank ref letter, statement of mutual funds account, gift deed and xe exchange rate. But I did not attach my gtb statement showing the inflow. But I attached a LOE explaining the source of funds. Is this ok, or do I need to also attach statement showing the inflow from my dad's account to mine? Kindly advice.

Hello House pls I need some direction and advice
Concerning my job reference letter, I notice that the responsibilities listed under my NOC does not cover all the responsibilities I currently perform.
My questions are;
1. Do I list more or less responsibilities than what is on the NOC list if am privileged to state what I want to appear on the reference?
2. Will I need to show statement of account as evidence of salary payments if my reference is on the letter headed paper, if my organization has a website and I have some current pay slip to upload?
3. Can I use a reference letter that is dated more than 4 months to apply for PR? Or I shld demand for new reference letter?

2) Pay Slip is good enough, ordinarily all you need is reference letter
3) It doesnt matter, go ahead
1) as long as your duties include some of those listed under the NOC, there shouldnt be any issue

State how much you were paid throughout the period..it doesn't have to show on your bank statement..if it shows good. The bank statement I used was for the last 6 months prior to the time of my application.. meanwhile I finish NYSC 8 years ago.

It should state
..like..she/he was paid..so and so per month/per annum.

Or his/her annual base pay/monthly salary was so and so.

thanks anyways, i never asked for advice, check my original post. I only ask how long it takes? does that sound like an advice? all the same thanks because am well above 2 weeks the reason i asked my question in the 1st place.

Dimple10:
The refund takes some time to come, i can’t remember how long but more than 2 weeks. Just follow up by email or call them. Thats the logical thing to do in this scenario as opposed to posting here asking for advice.

That's still more than the minimum requirement for FSW of 1 year which is 12 months..and she should not have been rejected except maybe she didn't do it well..or she screwed up a particular aspect of entering the dates.

the CRS point would drop, points for 3 years is different from that of 2 years and 10 months (equivalent to a year)

She was claiming points for 3 or more years.

Her crs was recalculated and her points fell below the cut-off for the draw she got ITA.
It was stated in the notes.....
VO deducted 25 points.

Hi, i believe the normal process is to send your foundation transcript to records office. Records office then sends it together with your year 2-4/5 to WES. That was exactly what i did. If/when you remove it WES would still say your undergrad transcript is not complete.

Minimum requirement has no bearing on your application if it is based on certain claims. VOs validate everything you submit so as to determine your true position.

I think we need to read the requirements for FSW carefully so as not to sound surprised. Now there are 2 things that is used to determine the qualification of an applicant. The CRS score which is used to rank your application against the cut off and the selection factor points which is you used to determine your eligibility.

If you claim 3years, your CRS score adds 50points, but if it is less than 3 but more than 2 you get a separate point. VOs usually recalculate your points. The minimum selection factor points for FSW is 67. Your score varies greatly depending on years of work experience; 1, 2, 4 or 6 years attracts different score.

Once a VO decide or confirms a position for you, your CRS score and FSW points will be recomputed. If any of them falls below the cut off, that's automatic rejection.

After 3years there is no difference in score like 5years experience or 7 years. No difference in points earned (I.e points to be claimed is maxed out by 3 years experience) on the crs ranking system

I guess you didnt look at the earlier part of my response. CRS score is different from eligibility assessment. The maximum score for foreign work experience is 50points. And that's for 3years and above. But on your FSW points, you get a different score for 1, 2, 4 and greater than 6years

Before this thread closes, I am here to testify (because I told God I must testify in this thread). It is not PPR or ITA but NOI from Alberta! When I was about to give up and I had started to count down to my IELTS expiration, the God who is too faithful to fail threw me a lifeline through Alberta. This is part 1 of my testimony, watch out for the full story and my PPR story in part 9 of this thread grin. We can't afford to give up on the Canadian dream, do everything you can legally to keep the dream alive and remember that it will end in praise.

Good evening gurus in the house.
I have been seeing contradicting news about ND and HND being regarded as two or more certificate. Is this really true?
Has anyone with ND and HND alone met the cut off point for PR in recent years or even on this thread. I need testimonies from those who actually made it using their ND and Hnd.

I need clarity from gurus on this forum. I know the question have been asked here a million times but none of the answers are straightforward.
I will appreciate straight answers...

Thanks

You are contradicting yourself..checking eligibility can also be done on the CRS ranking platform and No additional point is given for experience after 3 years.

It would be a problem if as a result of 2 years and 10months, she may have fallen below the lowest CRS score during the draw for which she received an ITA. But Wetin I know sef?!

Thank you so much.

One more question, we are trying to avoid getting work reference letter for my spouse, because of the complexity involved.
1. Are we to add his work experience on the profile now (PRE-ITA) and then move it to personal history (POST-ITA)?
2. Do not declare his work experience at all PRE-ITA (I just saw that with/without his work experience our CRS score does not change), then add it to Personal history POST-ITA.

Seniors please feel free to chime in

If you’re targeting PNP, it’s a good idea to select all provinces so you can be nominated by any.
