Hey Guys,

So I had an appointment which made me come to school early today, after that I headed to my class, as I walked in tears dropped my eyes, the memories of how crazy my class was during my undergraduate in Naija just came to my mind.

Take a look at a class and washroom and see the difference in the garbage we have back home. A school with every amenities u could ever think of,, name it . But in 9ja all we do is to glorify politicians that are illiterate, incompetent, corrupt and clueless, imagine the kind of president we have in this 21st century coupled with the cabals, how do we move forward?

Let me not talk of TRIBALISM AND ETHNIC BIGOTRY sef.. Well I won't say much, I am happy I left and I am cool but winter will soon come shocked I will only think of Naija if I wanna come to see my Mum and siblings.

We need to do better in that country. Imagine a country with educated elites and see who is ruling us. And worst of it is that many Nigerian youths focus on irrelevant things probably scared of being picked up if they talk. If our government was responsible and accountable we would have had a better place.

Most times the weird and barbaric news I read here its saddening. It wasn't as bad as this when GEJ was in power but we won't accept the truth.

Say whatever u want to say but it doesn't concern me until I decide to come home briefly, I am only speaking for the good of all. angry

May God help Us.. Peace!

If it's possible, I will really like to know how your succeeded in making your arrangement especially the total cost, and the job opportunity there. I am interested, really I am.

Are the politicians not Nigerians?
The Apple does not fall far from the tree na.
See those shouting and screaming online everyday, just give them small political assignment and they will be worst than the old recycled politicians we have.

The kind of lawlessness an average Nigerian display every minute is mind blowing.
We virtually don't have laws and nobody obeys any.

All traders lie. Workers steal with pen. Construction workers use fake materials when u pay them for genuine ones.
Or is it our pastors and imams?

Crazy country.
l am a patriotic Nigerian and I want to be a politician in Nigeria so that I can empty CBN, NNPC, if possible l will loot our Sovereign wealth fund and I will loot all the money in Nigeria, its better to loot government money in Nigeria, stealing is not corruption, but I will advice the rest of you to keep praying for Nigeria, prayers is what we need while we politicians can keep stealing, Una get time to talk about Nigeria, Abeg make l drink my Hennessey and with my fried goat meat jare tongue

Yes, and we were borrowing under GEJ and under Yaradua too...

Want to know why?

Nigeria relies on oil...and right now, oil is at $80 per barrel. We need it to be at least $140 per barrel to not borrow from anyone.

Last time oil was above $145 was in 2008. Since 2009 it has never been that high.

So we borrow.

Buhari had to borrow. Oil was $75 when he took over, $30 9 months later...and now is up to $70-80. If he did not borrow....the state of the economy would have been worse than it is.

The way forward is simple....remove fuel and power subsidy...which would attract investors who in return for chanrging us N300 per liter and above for fuel will build more refineries, invest in gas production, which would in turn take care of our energy needs...and lead us to a point where we would fire our industrial sector to be an actively exporting and job creating sector...to the point where we would earn enough money to be as rich as Canada.

But you Nigerians want to be spoon fed every day. Even when we don't have the money. And you vote for the same old unimaginative politicians...APC or PDP. So at the end of the day, we keep on throwing billions away....

Anyway, time we faced reality. Nigeria must industrialze before we can become a wealthy nation. APC must stop this their economy of exporting stuff and wasting it on imports. We cannot continue.
can he take a break on oil ,and think out of the box as a leader, oil dis and oil that, country that does not have oil are very progressive, is only when u don't have anything to offer that u will always find a way of blaming others rather than yourself, four years is enough for any serious government to show us the way to go ,apc is worst than what we have hard previously, corruption in this government is worst than what we hard before, the government before them did not do well that is the reason y we change them, is obvious Buhari has nothing to offer as a leader he should have allowed someone else to try his luck, I don't support politicians I am a born critic, lean to be less political in ur arguments is not every body u see on social media is a party supporter.

This post is slightly misleading.

Op how much is your school fees let’s compare it with the classes in AUN .

Fee for fee
Structure for structure
Class for class.

Then the discussion will start.

I understand you perfectly well. You are also perfectly correct.
However, I was only responding to someones post for insulting the country and the sensibility of those who chose to remain.

Mind you, I'm not against anyone who chose to leave, but if you must leave do so legitimately.

My class yesterday in UK, its no news that technology advancement, amenities and overall educational system in Western Universities can't be compared to the ones we have back home. I love that country to death but our leaders made it a dream killer for millions of talented youths. Congratulations though for getting out of there.

I don't understand how do you say they are living in poverty yet they have money to buy data to grumble online. I hope you know what poverty is. Someone will come online to beg. I wonder where he got the money to buy phone and data.
The problem with the so called grumblers is that they want to live above thier means.

From this thread you will discover that there are demons among us that have started seeing the chains in their hands as bracelets. How can a sane person defend a thing very useless as Nigeria? to them Nigeria is very OK the way it is today, they will even come against you for trying to remove their chains by revolution forgetting that most countries with good standard of living have numerously revolted against their leaders. Nigeria is a shame but most Nigerians defending the status quo is a bigger shame.

The toilets will still get messed up, the difference is that the toilet attendant will come and clean it several times a Day

A lot of toilet attendant staff here will not clean anything even if it's their job

Shoprite toilets are always clean, even though hundreds of people use them every day, that's because the toilet attendants are on hand and present inside the restroom

On second thoughts I do agree with you to an extent, we don't have good toilet culture in fact plenty of people have never seen one before or if they have, can't see the difference between that and the bush. Therefore they just mess anyhow so there are two sides to it
