I wonder why the South African police saw any need to tear gas the IPOB protesters? They were not being violent in anyway

Well at least the South African police were far more civilised than the Nigerian police and used rubber bullets/ tear gas. No life lost.
As much as Buhari is useless, it is the duty of the country hosting him to protect him should they perceive any threat and we all know IPOB is not only uncouth but lack tact. Should they leave them on that spot, it won't take long before they start seeking Buhari to beat him.

It is even strange that only one rubber bullet dispersed them. And someone will tell me these guys are not cowards? Lol!

There was no reason for that protest, maybe they should arrest and jail all the protesters.
I am not removing from the cause of Biafra but, that protest was stupid. If you die in it
you die for nothing.

IPOBians and supporters are the ones who hate other Nigerians but are quick to blackmailing other Nigerians as hating them just to gain some sympathy

It is morally wrong and bad, did they even obtain a police permit to protest there is the first question?
Nigerians have been accused of constituting nuisance in SA, xenophobic attacks and deaths have been recorded, Buhari is in SA to talk on their behalf and what must be done to prevent any future occurrence, some IPOBians still went protesting against him thereby cementing it in the hearts of South Africans that []Nigerians are a violent[/b] people and they go about constituting nuisance everywhere they go.
So you can see this is the "wrongest" time for such protest, this should have been saved for next time especially not after a recent attack on Nigerians
plz, a pt of correction: they are not Nigerians!!!
That flag desn't look like Nigerian flag, does it?

You all see what we're talking about now; chasing rats while the house burns! Here's a president who is visiting to ensure your lives are secured including properties, who ensured Air Peace was given unprecedented waivers so that those who intend to come back home will be able to do so, who also ensured that his government will make available loans through the bank of industry and other incentives and support for the SA returnees, who brought together a high powered delegation to engage its SA counterpart on topical issues of interests; xenophobia crisis topping the list of that discussion. But here we are, chasing rats while we're supposed to be engaging him in meaningful discuss to better the lot of Nigerians in that country. Tomorrow they'll start alleging that their govt isn't responsive...well, we'll remind them of this incident!!

Even if there's another xenophobic attack (God forbid) and Nigerians complain, South Africans would equally remind them of this episode.

Show some seriousness by first leaving, don't wait to be ordered around if you're serious

They don't know how international politics work, they think any one cares about their feelings and emotions. They are going about this whole struggle the wrong way, they are lucky this is SA, try this in any west African country and see if they won't be shot with live bullets.

Lol! I think the problem is from their head. Kanu brags a lot about how his group will corner any Nigerian politician, particularly 'Jubril' outside Nigeria. Unfortunately, IPOB is made of uneducated, unenlightened and brash folks who don't know what the brain is for.

I would have loved that they are rounded up and deported to Nigeria with the DSS waiting in the wings at the airport. Nonsense humans they are.

Just imagine, Buhari went to speak against any further killing of Nigerians yet they are protesting against him, if he didn't say or do anything about it, same people will complain.
Funny enough, 90-95% of those don't even have legal papers to remain in SA

This is disheartening. What a mentally deranged race?

Nigerian government should conduct psychiatric test for all the creatures living in South Eastern part of Nigeria.

They are the major victims of South Africa xenophobic attacks at same time protesting against a leader trying to rescue them.

Buhari was blamed for not taking action against South Africa now the issue is being resolved you turned to Biafra again.

Kanu? do people still take him seriously? someone that lies about everything, I recently found out he made some of his followers believe he has international backing, maybe that's what is making them act this stupid.

I just feel for the innocent ones that will suffer for the actions and inactions of that young man.
