last last na stanbic I go dey use I open an account but the killing of Nigerians in s.a got me so I stop but no Nigeria died I will go back to stanbic

I guess Gtb wanted more interest for you, reason they quoted higher rate which eventually failed as it was above CBN stop rate. Even Stanbic fails sometimes. The choice is yours nonetheless

I bought First bank N2.2m secondary tbills yesterday at 10% for 42 day tenor. I instructed both the interest and the principal be debited. So, I got a debit alert of 2.2m as I instructed.
Please how much should I be expecting at the expiration of the 42 days.
I asked the guy in charge of first bank tbills but his attitude was so disgusting and quite rude.

its depend on how fast u need ur capital but i will advice u to go for 181days

I feel you should have reinvested the interest as well since you didn't want the upfront payment. Reinvesting the interest would have yielded a little more in addition.

Forget that app. Go to any branch of your bank and see the marketing staff or manager to book your tbills. Primary market auction is every two weeks while the secondary market is always on depending on the tenor

It Should be instant. The amount debited from your account is less by your interest. Eg 700k tbills with interest of 30k, it is 670k that will be debited from your account but your tbills investment will read 700k. So automatically you already received your interest.

This is how you calculate it

42/365 x 10/100 x 2,200,000 = 25,315.07

Next time just collect your interest directly or your increase your investment by the interest. It's straight forward and more transparent that way to avoid any hanky panky from the bank

�� invest, know your path and do it religiously.
Like one of my colleague would say, “ we said building is not an investment. But our friends have buildings to show after years, we have no money to show”. A little here and there balances things. The analogies are too vague for me. I make X amounts every month and invests 1/3 of X on Tbills and the remaining 2/3 on expenses and building a rental property-I don’t think it’s a bad idea. That’s what I currently do. And it gives me fulfillment.
