If I invest 500k in treasury bills for 3 months, like how much will be my interest?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Awesomemama: 1:42pm On Oct 03, 2019
I don't know if this has been discussed here b4, but don't know the keyword to search for
So I want to place a request for secondary market, but what I have in my account currently is not up to the said amount.
If they deduct to amount n leave my upfront I'll have more than enough left in my account.
Can I go ahead with this?

Depending on the rate
At 10% you'll get a little below 12,500

I know how much I will be making weekly if I use the money to buy up a Bet9ja shop .

The available locations around me are not that great and that's why I want to invest the money till I'm able to get a reasonable location

According to your calculations, the Eurobond would return ($1000) 400k naira + ($90) 36k = 436k wheras the tbill would return 403k. How is that BS?

Despite all the talk of recession in the US, we all know that the likelihood of a devaluation there is much lower than in Nigeria. Even Dangote recently spoke about keeping 60% of his investments outside Africa going forward, citing devaluation as one of his concerns - https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2017-aliko-dangote-interview/.
