I think it should be no longer news that we have a truly potential World class Super Striker rising in that kid Osimhen. I just don't like the fact that Galtier wanna force Remy into the lineup by all means. Victor starting upfront alone today would have guaranteed them a win over Nimes and not being paired with Remy. Galtier should watch it.

how?

Bkus the boy doesn't deserve the invite, only Rohr and his cronies can explain the rationale behind this shame. Dat man aint clean

Will you shut up what is your criteria for player selection?

Just because a player on secondary list is invited because of an injury you are talking nonsense

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has controversially handed a late call up to CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria winger Viv Solomon-Otabor‎ as a late replacement for injured Samuel Kalu ahead of the Super Eagles friendly game against Brazil.

Kalu as reported by this portal picked up a thigh injury which ruled him out of the October 13th friendly game against Brazil and Rohr has decided to call Solomon-Otabor who has been getting a lot of paid reviews from a section of the media in Nigeria.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that Heerenveen winger Chidera Ejuke was the obvious choice to replace Kalu if at all a replacement would be called up following his impressive performances for the Dutch side which earned him the best U21 player of the month in the Netherlands.

Rohr however picked 23 year old Solomon-Otabor who is yet to score a goal this season for CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria from seven games this season but got picked with some influence from people close to the coach and the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) .

His controversial call up has torn the NFF apart with many unhappy with the decision as the player who is also eligible for England hasn’t done enough to warrant a call up for a high profile game like the one against Brazil.

He played today and provided an assist. He was played out of position. I just didn't report it. Dude has been bagging the minutes in Bulgaria. I have been watching him from a distance and he has recorded the fastest speed in Europe this season unless it is not broken. Dude is not so bad... But thing is I don't think this is official. I haven't seen anything about Otabor's invite except on ANS.

ChrisKels:

Doing well how? Can u back thus up with stats?? Like komekn rightly said, their is reason Rohr has lasted on the scene here in Africa. What has Otabor done to deserve a call up from a tier 4 league like the Bulgarian league, when we have more deserving players in better Leagues?? I laugh when ppl out of ignorance claim that corruption is limited to only African coaches. Hell would let lose if it had been Keshi that made this call

Lille have never lost or drawn a game at home with Osimhen up top alone backed by the usual three musketeers in attack.

This Solomon Otabor has played over a hundred games in his professional career and hasn't scored up to 10 goals... He plays as a winger o... Mostly in the lower division of English football...

Relax Dan... Reports also confirm that Rohr has taken notice of Chidera Ejuke. I think it is only a matter of time.

And guys... Uhmmm.... It is official. It is on the NFF handle. Otabor has been called up. You can continue your Rohr bashings now.... Lol

Hmmm on the bolded

I am not going by last season or any season. What I see today is a Manchester city that is on the ropes. They have no defense. Lapporte and Kompany leaving really hurt them. People get so carried away with their beautiful football that they forget they still have to defend.
Tot Pep develop players, didn't they say if you play under him you'll become so good. So why is Otamendi not playing like peak Vidic?

The hype has eaten so deep into Rashford's head that he now strolls in the pitch thinking himself a super star, he has the number 10 shirt, after all.
A case where an unproven, little experienced and gradually complacent player is durning the number 10 shirt of Manchester United clearly reveals the magnitude at which the club is gradually reducing to the level of a mid-table English team like Bournemouth, Wolves, Leicester etc

Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Leeds can relate

Dude was fantastic

I would give him Epl player of the week

We all know traore have no end product ,as you have already said weda Na muscle ,dude got only speed and muscle

Thanks to counter and nuno tactics

This guy it seems is finally getting football brain and finishing.

Prior to this game 49 games and 1 goal.

Meanwhile this guy is probably the fastest player in the EPL. Today the guy cancelled Raheem o mean he was playing as a RB and beating Raheem. First time I have seen that.

This is why the EPL in my opinion is the most competitive and best league in the world. Because anybody can beat anybody.

Agreed without too many question ❓ ❓ ❓

Why why when a player has been largely anonymous in both the Championship and league one. Decides to go to Bulgaria that tells us something, he lacks quality.

Maybe it could be explained with the small matter of his Uncle Thompson Oliha.

Otabor?? What the heck? Not ever Ejuke. This definitely wasn't Rohr doing.
Otabor is a prospect who hasn't kicked on. He's done nothing to deserve an invite.
