In every sane countries, every citizen over the age of 18 must have atleast a form of identity.

It prevent loads and loads of issues.

The problem in this part of the world is how to make it easy for the citizens to get.

I said it here some time ago that Nigeria is sitting on a ticking bomb, no more freedom in Nigeria! I think this may be a method to bring in foreigners from the neighbouring countries and make them citizens of Nigeria since all it requires is just an ID card. They government knows where the bandits are hiding, they also know where Boko haram members are chilling.... Why not level the place and declear a state of emergency in the area of their strong hold? The people in power are just playing politics with the lifes of the citizens because they know that Nigerians are to weak and gullible. Too bad for Nigeria. Welcome to the next level of dictatorship

I don't have a problem with ths initiative, the problem is which ID card are we supposed to carry? That signboard? Provide us with ID cards and we will gladly slot them into our wallets and go with everywhere.

The worst thing is that, the same identity card hasn't been issued for people who have registered. You don't expect someone to be carrying a print all the time, especially this raining season
