I do not know if is this true, although it is feasible this kind of behaviour is rife in football. Not just in Nigeria.

For Rohr to get this job he understands how we operate.

The man is compromised, and he is having his way bkus the NFF is owing him 3months salary, plus the no interference clause he coerced the NFF to insert in his deal. He is giving the unmeritted invites to the highest bidders at the detriment of the team, otherwise, tell me how otabor deserved a call up ahead of better players like Ebere Eze

Senegal made Africa Proud, Mane showed Super Eagles how to play Brazil – Esiti

Nigeria will draw inspiration from Senegal’s performance against Brazil in Thursday’s friendly in Singapore according to Super Eagles midfielder Anderson Esiti.

Senegal came from a goal down to force the five-time World Champions to a 1-1 draw and besides doing Africa proud, Esiti admits the Teranga Lions exposed some of Selecao’s weakness they can exploit.

“Every game is peculiar, we’re proud of how Senegal played and we also learnt some things about the weakness in the Brazil team,” the Midfielder told www.brila.net .

“But we’re not Senegal and we’re going to play our game, double our effort in order to get a different outcome.”

Esiti, who earned his first call up in 2015, got a recall last month in the friendly against Ukraine and is in contention to get minutes against Brazil on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate lines up Fikayo Saka for England Call up

England manager Gareth Southgate has tipped Nigeria-born Bukayo Saka to challenge for a place in the English squad ahead of the Euro 2020.

England saw off stiff competition from Nigeria to capture Chelsea duo of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, with the duo in the the three lions squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The former England U-21 coach believes they can get another one over Nigeria by naming the talented as one of the exciting youngster at his disposal for next summer’s tournament.

“We’ve got Callum Hudson-Odoi coming through and other players are emerging so quickly,” he said.

“You’ve got Bukayo Saka at Arsenal just dipping his toes in the first team as well. So, we’ve got really good players, we need more than three.

“I’ve always said that in tournaments that I played in, we always pinned our hopes on one player or two players. Southgate said.

Born in England, Saka is of Nigerian decent and has represented England at under-16, under-17 , under-18 and under-19 level.

Saka scored the winner for the England under-18 team in an away game against France and also cored on his under-19 debut against Moldova in 2018.

please sir who are these highest bidders..
I see nothing wrong with rohr's call up..most of the players invited are doing perfectly well for their clubs,On ebere's matter,he will surely get a call up soon...just like osimhen and aribo.
compare to the past...The man has tried. if you need Afcon? he will deliver it soon.

Look at him talking as if him go see ball play....

Look our starting midfield three will be Iwobi, Aribo and Ndidi. Makes the choices more straightforward due to Etebo's absence. Ramon Azeez will definitely enter the fray come the second 45 so I don't see Esiti playing Biko.... Oga ensure you fasten that seatbelt to the bench okay.... Merci

For those talking about calling Eze to the team:

1. They have made contact, you can see the photo below of him with the Super Eagles in camp.

2. I have a feeling that he’s one of the 3 players that have signed to switch to Nigeria. We will know in few months when it’s complete.

Ebere trained with the Super Eagles of Nigeria during their camping exercise in England and even took part in a test game organised by Rohr among the players after the cancellation of a planned friendly game.

Unlike Ola Aina who has since gone on to establish himself as a full fledged international since that camp exercise in London, Eze wasn’t approached by Rohr since then despite his fine form for QPR in the English Championship.

England finally got wind of his potentials and offered the 20 year old a spot in their U20 team and Rohr has now confirmed in an interview with Collin Udoh that Nigeria stand a very slim chance of luring him from England now.

“So could he still be in Nigeria’s plans? “Yes,” Rohr told KweséESPN, before admitting that the road is now just that little bit tougher: “But it will be a long process before authorisation for him to play for us.”

” Akpom isn’t the only one, three others have also agreed to play for Nigeria. Infact two of them initially turned down the chance to represent us last year but they are ready this year and very soon they will have the necessary documents to enable them play for Nigeria “, a source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” At this stage we won’t be mentioning names because of the dicey nature of these switch but in the coming days their identity will be made public as we believe by then the switch would have been made official by FIFA “, he concluded.

Eze played in a practice game which the Super Eagles players played among themselves during the camp in London with Ola Aina, Chuba Akpom and Josh Maja also taking part.

From the trio only Aina was deemed needed by the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr as he pulled all the stop to make sure the paper works for his switch of allegiance came through on time.

At that time Eze was still working his way up the first team at QPR, hence despite impressing Rohr he wasn’t seen as an immediate priority as the Franco-German coach felt he has better options in midfield.

Before the end of last season, Eze’s name was on the lips of the fans of QPR for his impressive performance but Rohr stuck to his core of players who prosecuted the qualifiers for the Russia showpiece.

He carried his form into this season and once again Rohr snubbed the creative midfielder and only made his move for him few days before his call up to the England U20 was made official.

Reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com has it that he told the contact of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) who spoke with him of his plans to honour the call up to the U20 of England.

Since making his debut, Eze is now focused on progressing through the various ranks of the national team of England and that alone should bother Nigeria because they had him in their hands but surprisingly let him slip away.

by next year, if this one somehow blows now, and he's called up to whichever foreign team his other nationality is, he will say nobody spoke to him about featuring for the Eagles.

Good to know Iwobi has continued from where Mikel stopped in England. Perhaps, if Mikel was still in Chelsea, he would have convinced Fikayo to feature for us. Iwobi is stepping up and being a leader, future captain.
