The English test you talked about.. It's better you just pass that one once as the school might just request for it. Using an agent would favor you if they are the good and legit ones sha.
Oh ok
Thanks

Greetings everyone. I found out that ACU doesn't ask of statement of account. During visa application, will I need to submit my sponsor statement of account, or will it be waived, considering the fact that ACU is a SVP provider? From the link below, it can be seen that the embassy doesn't demand for sponsors statement of account if the school is a member of SVP providers

By ACU u mean Australian catholic university?
It’s advisable to keep it handy when u apply for your visa, just Incase your CO demands for it, however you don’t have to upload it except CO demands for.

Congratulations. I tap into your blessing.
DiiVictory:

After waiting almost 5 months now.

Got my first CoE 28th of march, 2019.
Visa Application = 14th may, 2019
Medicals = 14th may, 2019
Biometrics= 14th may, 2019.

Initial resumption date= 29th july, 2019
Got extension for 5th August, 2019.
Still visa didn't drop.

I was depressed when immigration requested for my original degree certificate on the 2ñd August when my final extended resumption was 5th august.

When I finally got my original degree certificate and uploaded, my CoE has expired and my agent wrote to federation university for a new CoE for Nov intake and on August 23rd they school sent me a rejection notice stating they reasons why they can't continue with the process and requesting me to withdraw the visa application from immigration and request a refund from them at my earliest convenience.

My family and I got into several prayers and we believed God through prayers that federation university will reconsider their decision and reissue me another CoE.

On the 9th of September, immigration sent a mail requesting for a new CoE from my school and my agent had to include the attachments to my school for them to also reconsider and the school eventually sent me a new CoE for November intake on 23rd September.

Finally visa grant came today. Praise God for me.

It seems like a dream to me.

Again, there is nothing God cannot do my people.
Just continue trusting God and you will realize how faithful He is.

I wish everyone waiting for their visa my kind of Grace. God will see y'all through.

Good morning people of God.
What PGD course can I do in Australia? I have HND in food science and technology, but have over 10 years working experience as ATM/IT Technician.
I already have good band score in IELTS, and I want a course related to IT.
Help a brother with suggestion of course and school, if I can't get something related to IT, I will settle for the food science and Tech. Thing.
Thanks.

Great people of nairaland, please I need an answer to this...... My sponsor is willing to pay my full tuition of one year while I sought the rest out myself. Do you think I can pay meet up with let's say forty thousand Australia dollars while staying in Melbourne for my second year tuition fee with other personal expenses like feeding and accommodation. I am quite hard working and can persevere in difficult situation. Is it achievable please. Your sincere and encouraging response will be so appreciated @ bligs, WestAfrican and others. Please don't ignore.

@Sashaa

Just to add to the rich contribution that has already been made regarding a strong GTE, I want to add that if your offer is different from your previous studies and/or work experience, but you have done some non-credit courses online or some credible certifications in your intended course, add those documents to your visa application to strengthen your case and demonstrate that you have always had the desire for a career/course change.

Secondly, read your SOP like an examiner and not a student, juxtapose your documents and SOP, then ask yourself: Is there a gap, a contradiction, omission, etc? This would help you create a near perfect GTE (in the absence of a second opinion).

best of luck.
Thank you so much

1. Is the A$40k per year if yes. Of course you can meet up

Get a room for $150/wk. Spend only on your necessities(bring lots of stuff from Nigeria that will help greatly)

Moreso, there are lots of jobs. Getting one ain't hard. P. S Prepare to take the aged care course or disability course.... There's money in that sector

What University did you get accepted into

The simple answer is YES. It's doable. A lot of us went through that path. The other truth is that it isn't easy as either school or work has to suffer interchangeable.

The key words like you mentioned is hardwork, perseverance. You also need to be focused while keeping a simple eye.

Am not sure of the duration of your program or what degree you will be pursuing. This is an insight to what a program would cost in Australia:

Study costs in Australia
Education program Average tuition costs ($AUD)

Foundation courses $15,000 to $39,000 in total**

Undergraduate bachelor degreee $15,000 to $33,000 per year*

Postgraduate masters degree $20,000 to $37,000 per year*

Doctoral degree $14,000 to $37,000 per year*

If yours was a bachelor degree, that's where the stress is enormous. You would have to be able to work at least 8hrs a day, 16hrs on weekends and probably as much as you can during your school holidays.

Moreso, the good thing in Australia is that you can take study leave although you need to notify your UNI to get a leave of absence, that is when you need to work hard to gather enough money for the coming semester/trimester.

The answer is YES and NO. Yes for students who's English isn't their mother tongue. You may want to try this and then come tell us what the outcome was.

If you're pursuing a Master's program, and have an outstanding English result on your WAEC or NECO etc. Highlight your English score, ask for a letter from your UNI faculty stating English was the medium of learning. Also include two recommendation letters from your lectures and a short direct cum concise note saying why IELTS should be waived for you.

The issue here is that you won't score high if you wrote IELTS rather it's just annoying that Nigerians have to write this silly exam considering the fact English is our official language.

It worked for me and other mates I shared the idea with. Although you will definitely need it if you're seeking for PR.

Thanks for your input sir/ma. The A$40k is per year fees.
Taught immigration doesn't allow bringing in of food items. Can you please expantiate on this.
Most importantly, my research shows that aged care course take around 1 year in Melbourne to complete and can't be done by international students with study visa. Can you please explain this better in a way an inexperience person can understand and the possible cost.
My course is a post graduate course in RMIT university.
Thanks as I anticipate your help in this regard.

Thank you sir for your response. Your response so far on this thread has been nothing but encouraging.
My course is a post graduate course. And the fee is around 39000 per year. You mentioned working for 8hrs per day, thought international students are allowed to work for just 40 hrs every fortnight.
Will the student be all allowed to work for unlimited period during the study leave?
Please sir, how possible is it for an international student to enrol for a another while still studying with the present education provider.
I anticipate your response sir WestAfrican. I appreciate your words of wisdom.
