Someone re-registered the phone number that is attached to your account to gain access into your account. You need to get the number retrieved Nigga. Take heart broda. Same shit happened to me and the useless bank didn’t do anything about it.

You card has been compromised,block that card,request for a new one,then proceed to the bank and do the following.
1.Request to see their customer care agent,lodge a complaint and give out all the details of what happened.
2.you would be required to fill a charge back fund since you didn’t authorize those transactions.This is a case of fraud and your bank will investigate.
3.You could check your ledger balance,do you still have the money in your ledger balance,if so then a lien must have been in place,so you may wait for few days before you get credited back.

you could also mail your bank,keep sending them mails,they will surely react

I'd agree with you if we're talking about a non-Nigerian debit card or payment gateway here. PayU processes payments for Luno Nigeria and I am sure they always request authorisation.

I recommend having two separate bank accounts. One should have an ATM card and the other shouldn't have one (the other shouldn't even have online app and if you can be careful like me {I have a small phone I put d sim I receiver alerts on so its always indoors and whenever I want to make transfer, I turn it on. I use a sim lock too. So even if d phone misplaces, the sim is useless but if you don't feel safe with that option, just walk to the bank anytime you want to withdraw and deposit.)

Keep your bulk money into the account without an ATM and transfer moneys that you want to spend in a day/week to the account you use for an ATM. Any money u send here wouldn't really affect u even if the card is later compromised (which is not likely to happen if you follow the steps I use too)... I hope to start getting big money so I can do this too

I had a similar challenge with my account some time ago. In my case, it was uber and taxify the person paid using my money. I contacted my bank(GTB) and they said nothing could be done initially.

But I never gave up, I kept praying and disturbing them on Twitter same time copying CBN. Eventually the money was returned to my account.

This way no stories that touch the heart can come near me!

In this current clime, you need to be very careful with all electronic payment methods. I have a sim card PIN, two-factor authentication on all devices and email, biometric locks on all my Internet banking apps and of course, no funds in the account which is linked to my card.

I will advise you get a prepaid debit card. It's not linked to an account. You just load the card with the exact sum which you want to use for online purchases. It can't be hacked because IT'S NOT LINKED TO AN ACCOUNT.

Anyone who did this Is close to you and have access to your ATM card and phone to confirm the otp code sent to your number. Knowing your ATM and pin is not enough to initiate that transaction successfully. Your bank will also send an OTP code and you'll have to confirm the code. A girl I know wanted to do this to a guy she slept with, and called me in the middle of the night for directions which I declined so she called someone else.
