aaffluent: Requirements are Advanced Diploma & Diploma respectively. Transcript will read 2 years because it will be EEET 2** as course code, showing that it was for 2years. Until what you said is proven by Emailing them, one should not just assume. For i have read about those that applied for technologist on this thread with HND.(of which it is the requirement) |

Tee79: Congratulations! You got it with 65 points. Yes, my observation so far is that if an applicant is able to secure superior English scores, he or she will surely get ITA judging by New South Wales State and Victoria state. One just need to be patient. Congrats once again. Go and conquer the land of milk and honey. 1 Like |

Now, for all the single persons, rejoice because your points will be astronomically increased come November 2019. With the new point based system, if you were formally having 65 points, for being single, addional 10 points will be added to you. Now, there is a rumour going on that says: immigrations will monitor this new system thoroughly to avoid some persons cheating the system. I heard some persons may go on divorcing their partners just to get that extra 10 points. But I trust the system, it can't be easily beatable. Using myself as a case study, with the new system, my point for state nomination will be 75 as against the formal 65 points I used to have with the former system. Can you see the boost? How do I arrive at that? Age : 25 points State nomination :5 points English test : 20 points ( always aim at superior scores) Educational qualification: 15 points ( bachelor degree) Marital status (Single) : 10 points Total score : 75 This is rightly done so singles will be on the same level with those with partners. Do you want to know what your points will be come Nover 2019? 1 Like |

Mcslize: Are you certain about the bolded? I guess you are applying for 190? And i am not 100% sure that 190 is recognizing the singles. Though I will re-check, But i know that 491 is. And they are giving 15points not 5points. 2 Likes |

Mcslize: Grace differs. If it was written-it was written. It only takes you to get them their criterion point; then, banza for accumulative points. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Mcslize: 1:16pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
DoDirtsLikeWorm: Why not? The 10 points is across board. It is for the three main visa types 189, 190 and 491. Whichever you apply for gives you 10 extra points if you are not having a partner. That's the new system. Being single gives you a whooping 10 points. Use the link I posted and do the calculation for the three visas. If you click single, it shows 10 points. Calculate for both 189, 190 and 491. https://www.seekvisa.com.au/australia-pr-points-calculator-from-16-november-2019/ |

Assuming the following points were in the bag: Age. 30 points Education. 15 points English. 20 points Totalling 65 pts What do you think one's ITA chances are with 189 if nominated occupation is Mechanical Engineer or Biomedical Engineer. I wonder if the points total is competitive enough. |
