My brother, there is no perfect environment. Don't be deceived. Even US has their shortcomings. Early last year, a bridge under construction, collapsed and kill 2 people in Florida. Who would have thought about that in US. Have you reasoned why Trump is trying to build a wall between US and Mexico? Simple because there are many Mexicans that took the route and have been residing in US for many years.
America has had 250 mass shootings in 215 days this year.
So don't make your ignorance fashionable. There is no perfect environment

I saw this on CNN. Immigration officials claimed they actually crossed the border on purpose. Even worse for the family, Canada doesn't want them back. Who would have thought even Brits will be trying to illegally enter the US, thought it was only blacks and Hispanics. Is the UK now a shithole country ni?

Yeah ! today is indeed a good day, making FTC for d past three yrs since I first made one. BTW this family are citizens of no country as all the countries are rejecting them. Why would they leave Canada for US for Heaven Sake.? Still thinking...
American border officials have started giving Canadians tough time too. Alot of Canadians go to the US for work or tourism. Lots also have houses in Florida.

But for this family, if they searching for Assylum even though are Britons, Canada might be the best option for them. But Mexicans and South Americans illegal immigrants always prefer to stay in the US than Canada. More money to be made in the US despite being illegal.

Trivalence:
A British family, Connors, have related their ordeal in the United States after they were detained for days after mistakenly driving across border into the United States during vacation.

Originally from the United Kingdom, two couples and their three young children were driving near the US-Canada border on October 3 during a visit to Vancouver when an animal ventured into the road, forcing them to make an unexpected detour.

But before the Connors could get very far, flashing lights from a police car appeared in their rearview mirror. The officer that pulled them over was American — they had accidentally crossed the border.

The vacationing family says this was the moment their trip turned into “the scariest experience of our lives,” according to a complaint filed on Friday to the inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security. Instead of being allowed to return to Canada or the U.K., Eileen Connors alleges that her entire family, including her 3-month-old son, ended up detained at the Berks Family Residential Center in Leesport, Pa., where they have spent more than a week living in “frigid” and “filthy” conditions. As of late Monday, Bridget Cambria, the Connors’s lawyer, told The Washington Post that the British family was still at the centre waiting to be deported.

“We will never forget, we will be traumatized for the rest of our lives by what the United States government has done to us,” Connors wrote in a sworn statement, later adding, “We have been treated like criminals here, stripped of our rights, and lied to. … It is undoubtedly the worst experience we have ever lived through.”

US Customs and Border Protection could not be reached for comment late Monday.

Officials with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed in a statement to the BBC that the family is being held at the Leesport facility, but disputed their claims of mistreatment. The center, the statement said, “provides a safe and humane environment for families as they go through the immigration process.”

“Reports of abuse or inhumane conditions at BFRC are unequivocally false,” officials said.

Connors, however, alleges that the mistreatment began shortly after her family was stopped by the American officer.

*Two couples*. Are they two families The story suggests one family so that should read *A couple*...But what type of animal are you avoiding to make you take a completely different route, to the point of crossing a country's border? Something diesnt add up...Could it be they were actually intending migrants? I know many British people seek immigration to Australia and Canada but they always do so legally. They have enough comfort at home so won't go through the stress of illegal immigration. Or are these ones running away from debt?

I live in a border town in U. S and my work is so close to Canada that sometimes I have to shine my eyes that I don't take the wrong exit and end up in Canada. Someone who is not familiar with the roads can easily make a mistake. The U. S and Canada are pretty hostile to one another at their ports of entry. This is nothing more than a war of supremacy between ICE and CBP (Canadian Border Patrol). They beef each other.

In this case, the family are neither Canadians or Americans. They should exclude them from their beef. Canadians too won't stay at home. Always trying to go to Vegas or Disney world. Lol

And officials said they intentionally drive over a large ditch area to make it into the USA. I know where this happened, the road is 0 Avenue Blaine Washington. The north south roads do not connect with the USA from Canada. Only at official border crossings. Seems like a fabricated story by these Brits and the lawyer who is an open borders type zealot.
They probably want to go into the US to work and would have likely landed in California. They pulled the "we are british" after being caught to draw sympathy.

Did you read that part where an animal crossed their path thereby causing a diversion for them?

I can bet my car that the story of an animal crossing their path is nothing but a ruse.
Looking at the pictures I have seen, I am of the opinion that the parents are British Gypsies (or Travellers as they are called in Ireland) - known rule breakers.

This was no faux pas but a well planned operation that simply ran aground, in my view. cool
Believe that lot and believe anything. wink

'During processing, record checks revealed two of the adults were previously denied travel authorization to come to the United States,' US Customs and Border Protection said Tuesday in a statement.
