Tankers conveying fuel and gas fall today at Upper Iweka and Tarzan in Onitsha.The fuel
moved through the gutter to Ochanja roundabout Onitsha,destroying lives and properties including plazas in Ziks avenue Onitsha and Ochanja.According to report,for more than two hours no fire service personnel intervene. It was reported that fire service agents from Delta State later intervene.

The fire service where I live is provided by the council ie local govt. Its not every thing u that state or federal.govt will do for u.
Onitsha suppose have like 10 strong fire service centres.
People pay levy for heaven's sake.

Traders can easily donate fire trucks.

My mum told me that this kind of incident happened in late 90 killing not less than 15 people. No fire service. A tanker filled with fuel fall down and fire started.

They didn't learn anything but waiting for govt. Isn't that shameful?

Obiano failed us, no fire service till now.. Many are rendered homeless. Everything around Ochanja plaza were burn to ashes. And no fire service anywhere to quench them. What a terrible country. D whole Anambra state were unable to provide a single fire service to quench a fire outburst. What a State! Nigeria right now is in jeopardy! All our l south eastern eaders are criminals. Since this were able to happen in d whole of Anambra state hmm. Only d people who will understand will understand what happened today in Ochanja market. Tufiakwa!
