good Afternoon house,

can 1300 pounds budget fly for a couple to uk as tourist for 6 days?

if not what is a reasonably budget that one can work around?
Flight is already about £1000 for both of you. Ain't you renting a hotel? Feeding? Transport? Its low IMO
You and your wife can't stay in a hostel.

This is really bad, bro all I believe is prayers in this issues, there is nothing God can't do...I will just stay patiently and wait, it will be out.

I actually filled the form for withdrawal for my application on Monday. This means, the process will be cancelled and I will forfeit all payments, I signed.

24hrs later, I got a mail my passport will be returned on Wednesday. I got it yesterday. No visa.

I cannot afford to miss an international training paid for by my company with per diem in another country because of tourist visa .

A couple can stay in one room if the hotel certify that 2 people or couple is allowed in that room. Book a room that occupy two people. All UK hotel have rooms that two persons or couple can stay.

Check 'booking.com' to reserve. Check for free cancellation.

the letter is explanatory in case of future ‘business’ applications... you failed to convince them about what profit or benefit holds for your company that they would want to sponsor you for this course, why haven’t they sponsored you or anyone in the company to a course of this magnitude in Nigeria or its immediate environs, why did they choose to sponsor you and why have you not before now on your own attended any of such courses in any other country but suddenly want to now in the UK..

About your exam fee.. I will advise that you email your refusal letter with a note to the establishment organising this course. They should be able to refund you seeing that it was not you who decided not to come but because you were denied a visa. Try this.

All the gurus in the house...please kindly advise on the below pretty pleaseeeee:

In June 2017, I invited my dad to visit me in the UK for three weeks, but his visa was refused.

I submitted...

1. my bank statement
2. Proof of mortgage
3. Six month payslip
4. Letter of invitation

My dad is in his 70's. A retired business trader and currently relies on me for Monthly stipend which I send via western union online to his bank acount every month.

At the time of filling the form back then. On the form..he was asked if anyone depends on him and lives with him at home and also if he had any family ties.

He 'put' on the form..Yes

And he stated in the additional information that my mum and my immediate elder brother (in his 30's) who is visually impaired 'depend' and lives at home with him as my brother needs care as a result of his medical condition. my dad stated this as family ties and he will be coming back to Nigeria.

At the time...my dad did not realise that 'dependent' as stated on the form means 'financially dependent'.

At the time...he did not submit his bank statement or any proof to show my brothers medical records.

I didn't raise an eye brow on this at the time of that application in 2017 as I had one year earlier invited my mum and she was granted a visa without submitting any of her bank statement as I was sponsoring her entire trip.

I now know better about submitting lots of proofs after reading and following this thread for the past three months!

I am now looking to invite him again. I will be sponsoring his entire trip including flight. Accommodation. Feeding.

This time looking to supply the following....

1. Mortgage statement

2. Current account And savings account Statement with £5,000 balance (will transfer £1,500 from savings to current and then to my dad's account to support his flight ticket)

3. Letter of invitation

4. Payslip six month

5. Flight itinerary

6. 12 months Proof of monthly stipend receipts that I send monthly to him

My dad will be submitting the following

1. a cover letter addressing the 2017 refusal and stating that he retired from trading business and does not have a pension and relies on stipend from me. And that he misunderstood the question that while my brother lives at home...he (dad) is not financially responsible for him as my dad is retired. The finance that care for my brother comes from monthly stipend I send to my parents every month.

2. Six Bank statement that shows the monthly stipend I send to him

3. Bank statement that shows stipends I send to my mum too

4. A medical certificate for my brother from a private hospital where he does his monthly medical check up

5. Letter from my mum stating she will care for my brother while my dad is away on this trip (please note that my mum has visited the UK since then and on her own form, she filled that "no one is financially dependent on her as she is a home maker/housewife)

I have attached the refusal letter from 2017 to this post

Will the fact that my elder brother living at home affect my dad's application as my dad is retired?

Also, I am trying to fill his application form right now and the form says:

Does anyone rely on you for financial support? This include children over 18 who live with you at home.

Should the answer be YES or NO?

Can you good people in the house kindly advise on what else I need to add as documentation and if I am missing anything out.

I will appreciate every help I can get.

Thanks very much.

Since you foot all bills, then the answer to that question is no..... No one depends on him for FS.

Property deed is a very solid tie

Marriage certificate

Dependent son's birth certificate

Utility bill.... To show proof of address

Family photos if any, showing you with him, or u all together...

Get a year proof of communication.... Call log, wathsapp chat...

And your..... Your testimonies will be forever permanent.

Anything from $2000 should be ok. Just put a breakdown, book flight, book hotel, add other expenses and viola, you have an exact amount to input into your application. No need for guess work.

Thank you Justblow. I will fill in NO in the new application for FS. However, since he has filled in YES on the previous application that was refused, what explanation do you think I should put in this new application?

Also, I only send my dad 50,000 monthly and N50,000 to my mum monthly for their upkeep. I do not send my brother any money as my parents use some part of that to buy bulk food and to pay for anything my brother needs.

I also send separate funds yearly for accommodation payment (cash in hand to landlord, so no proof of tenancy). No utility bill as PHCN meter is prepaid. Also, parent got married back in 1979 traditionally so no marriage certificate.

Would a letter from my mum + her passport bio data page + my brothers birth certificate suffice (he is older brother but has medical condition) suffice as ties alongside with proof of monthly stipend?

Also, considering that on his first refusal, he mentioned dependent child to mean my brother he has a medical condition, should I get a medical certificate from the hospital where he does check up as well?

Kindly advise. Thanks so much. as I want to ensure to put in the right information in a concise manner that explains the circumstances.

For question one, father circumstances changed, he is no longer taking responsibility, you are now in charge of that

Ignore paragraph two, once you state he is now dependent on you, its a enough, as too much information at times confused the ECO.

Collect all the receipt of rent payment, at least the ones you can lay your hands on

Would a letter from my mum + her passport bio data page + my brothers birth certificate suffice (he is older brother but has medical condition) suffice as ties alongside with proof of monthly stipend?....... This is solid.

- Rent receipts.

- Prepaid meter POS receipt or online banking transaction confimation.

Then in the letter of explanation explain ur dad's purpose of visit and things he will be doing while visiting.

Also, add ur mom's passport data page, previous visa and entry and exit stamps.

Show proof of transactions of when you send money to ur parents. You said you use Western Union so show WU receipts.

Let ur mom write that she is in support of ur dad's visiting you as he's always asking/thinking about you and can't wait to see u soon. Let them know u are too busy to visit ur parents instead u will rather have ur dad over

In your own part add an Invitation letter, your rent receipt, ur bills, ur pay slip, ur bank statement, ur resident permit or BP. Anything that confirms ur legitimacy there.

Visa no dey too hard for old people they just need more info from u.

I'm a new applicant too and I've been searching for a studio apartment n I tell u accommodation for london no be here. Average cost per day for a studio is 25,000 NGN so use that to calculate ur daily rental.

For flight, budget 250,000NGN per person.
Feeding is about 8k per day per person
Transportation is averàgely 3k - 5k daily
Budget tours like 10 - 20k per head so if u wan do like 3 tours for couple u go reason 100k

Let's say every other thing is secondary so ur primary budget is totaling to

Flight - 500k
Rent for 6 days 25k x 6 = 150k
Feeding 8 x 2 x 6 = 96k ~= 100k
Say u do 3 tours x 2ppl = 90k or 100k(I use 100k)

Primary budget = 500+150+100+100 = 850k NGN or 1,910 GBP (say 1 GBP = 445NGN).

This shud be ur minimum budget for couples on a 6 days tour of London this period.

Justwise and other gurus in the house, I am planning to apply next month for 6 days hols in December, see travel history and background below.

2014. Applied as an undergrad, was refused beacause of insufficient ties and weak demonstration of financial capacity

2017. Got a Company sponsored visa for a 3-months programme in the UK. Entered when the visa started and left the day it was supposed to expire. (Stopped working for this Company btw)

2019. Now working in Naij, single , monthly take home is about GBP 644 (300k).

I am putting aside N600k for this trip in my salary account and my bro who lives in the Uk is gon be supporting with about GBP600 for my trip.

Do you think I am well positioned to get this visa or should I look at some other places? Would be staying at my bro's during my stay though.

Please advise
