1, A lawyer have a legal fight with someone and you call SARS to arrest innocent workers who has no business with your scuffle.
2, SARS incriminate innocent lives and the Judge also incarcerated them for nothing.

Nigerian police are more active dealing with young men nowadays. Even if you're completely innocent, you will always be the first suspect to police as a young man in a troubled situation. So you should be mindful of the kind of company you keep if they are the type police are often targeting.

This reminds me of an incidence way back then at MTN head office, Abuja. As an applicant, a friend told me that mtn is collecting applications. He arranged 1k for me as Teepee. I quickly left his office in Asokoro to Maitama. Just after settling the bike man and heading towards the gatehouse, a plain cloth policeman grabbed me on the belt from behind and immediately ordered me towards their waiting van. I demanded to know what my offense was and simply replied that, I should keep shut till I get to the station. I put up some resistance to protest my innocence and he pulled a gun at me.
In a moment, I was in an open van with about 3 other suspects to be quickly joined by another guy on a business trip from Lagos whose only crime was leaving his room in a nearby hotel to buy fruits for himself. We were taken to a police station in Maitama and accused as touts reselling mtn SIM Packs, a practice the company was highly against within their vicinity. I pleaded to the inspector on duty that, I am just an applicant who just went there to submit an application but, was ignored as I didn't have money to bail myself. The other 3 suspects who were obviously the culprits and carrying several SIM packs on them quickly pay 30k each and were release immediately.
I and the guy from a hotel were left to our fate. The poor me could not afford a GSM phone let alone call some one for my bail. The guy eventually secure his release too after several hours of negotiation leaving me alone around 9PM in the station. I eventually got my cousins number, whose office sent him on errand to far away northern state and put a call through a phone offered by a lady police who became sympathetic to plight. This angered her colleagues as they realize the guy was even out of town. As the seconds were ticking off towards midnight, I intensified my pleas hoping I will be let off the hook from the detention area sitting on the floor. But, little did I know the stone hearted cops, 'supposed friends' were preparing a space for me to join other inmates in the detention room.
By midnight, about Ten girls were brought into the station as night crawlers, some screaming to high heavens to be released. The buoyant ones among them were able to settle their way out as usual leaving the rest behind. At this point, I was ordered to remove my shoe and leave it behind with my documents taking along with me to the detention room just a token (N100 or so) so that, I will not be severely tortured by the older inmates. At this moment, I felt some tears rolled down through my cheeks and was eventually taken into a room with over 30 inmates lying and standing. I was immediately ushered in with hot slaps, punches, dragging to remove the money in my trouser.
I survived the first phase of the torture session and was immediately assigned the task to fan through out the night their " Chieffo" who was one of the few previledged to lie down. To cut my narration short, I was released the following morning after my cousin arranged with his friend to come for my release.
Sorry, this happened in 2001 when GSM just came on board.. and my very first experience in a police station.

my dear, that is how these bastards are oooo. I once listened to a man on radio in 2015, I cried for him. He was arrested and wrongfully charged, a sitting Judge sentenced him to death! This man spent 15 years of his life in prison awaiting death until he was proven innocent after 15 YEARS! 15 years wasted just like that!

OMG! Just reading this is disturbing! Thank God you were released. I learnt that is how they do to people, especially if you don't have money and there is another criminal with a lot of money, they could pin the crime on you and let the criminal go

OMG!!! This is so touching and also disturbing at the same time. A lot of people are languishing in jail while the real criminals know how to sort themselves out and continue committing crime. We read on the news how criminals are caught yet crime rate is on the rise. We only see the arrests, what they won't show us is how they release these dangerous criminals back into the society after they've been bribed while the ones unable to afford bribe are the ones left in detention. This is disturbing to say the least

He is even lucky that his own led him to prison, I've heard of someone who was stabbed to death in the house he went to charge his phone in.

That was how a truck pushers narrated to me on how police raider a place where he came to eat...packed everyone in the restaurant..he was even still at work but decided to park his truck with someone goods init to eat He stayed in kirikiri for 2 years. All the shout that he was a truck pusher that his truck is parked outside landed in deaf ears .... Wot happened to the goods and truck after two years ... He didn't know .

I was carrying my laptop for repairs and they arrested me because i wasn't carrying the receipt of the laptop. I wanted to call my mom, na so them seize my phone. i had to sort them out b4 we reach station, them don put me 4 motor dey drive dey go cell already sef.

So what's going to happen to the bribe-taking policemen who wrote the trump up charge? As an example, they should all be fired.

You're wrong and you've been scammed into believing if you say something about a church or a clergyman, you will heap "curse" on your head. Nonsense and ingredients. See here ol boy, the number one growing industry/thing in Nigeria today is Churches and Crimes. You have churches in all the nooks and crannies, and is there a week that goes by that you don't hear pastor rape or pastor scam or steal? Or are you not tired of all the loudspeakers all over the place with preaching, miracles, etc, or are you unaware of the way muslims block roads for at least half hour during Jumat? Or the recent discoveries of all these schools in Northern Nigeria where they maltreat all these boys. Now, look here, religion, religiosity and impunity is our major, major problem in this country. Tithe is the reason why churches are big businesses in Nigeria. All the Countries that you are praying to go none has the mega churches we have in Nigeria, but guess what, there is rule of law and people have fear of God. Back to the issue, see here, again, the Govt cannot do it all, firstly, i am muslim, ok, i live in the USA, citizens projects, religious institutions, churches, mosques are the organizations that reach out and assist people in this situations. In Nigeria, they are more interested in buying jets, building mega churches and universities than actually assisting and helping the needy. The examples you gave are the few exceptions because of all the talks and so they can point to all these good deeds. Now, all this is biting us all hard. During GEJ, Oritsejafor and all these CAN thieves were making money going to jerusalem and saying God is blessing them, they were very very corrupt, now, Buhari is there and his caucus are doing the same thing and acting as if its now their own turn. They justify it by saying its not as mega or widespread like PDP's GEJ.
