grin grin asking if I want you to lie to me.

Yes, Jane I want you to lie to me. Tell me there is hope for a cloud with silver linning. I want you to tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel for future prospects plz. I desperately want to unsee all of these about deutschlands job prospects and landing of pr.

I hear there were immigration policy reforms as at June so I'm atleast positive things will look up. But still yet no changes have been noted Jane.

The link for daads own report about number of work permits issued relative to student immigrants received is on Carlos Paul's quora page.

Just type Carlos Paul Germany..and pick the question asking why he's so negative. It's in his second point.

May God help us in this Deutschland waka in Jesus name. Although one should make their own luck

Carlos once said Germany is a country where masters in African studies is taught by an old German white man grin
Holy lord grin grin

I will say it over and over. If a man can not have anything to offer in terms of advice in terms of scholarship in Germany, he should STFU! Period!
Post your experience here and slink away to the other threads, praising Canada as a paradise!
A man is flipping burgers in Germany when John Macpherson is complaining that the Baker Hughes Engineering facility in Germany is understaffed? Please, give me a break!
A man with SAP, Ruby, coding, logistics, plumbing, electrical wiring skills is flipping burger? Life is tough but do not blame Germany for not absorbing everyone! No country on earth can do that except the America of the Trump era!
Medical doctors are already driving taxis in Canada, and some are expecting a paradise on arrival!
A man travelled to another land, did not read the fine print and then, turn around to blame his host?

How can a man leave Nigeria and still bring his certificate mentality to Europe? Nobody gives a Bleep about your degree, even as a European. What do you bring to the table, that is all they care about!

Startups all over Europe are looking for skilled hands and some are whining about lack of opportunities! People are investing in Udemy,Futurelearn and Edx,and some are hoping that manna will fall from the sky?
The EIT just allocated 3 billion euros from 2020 to 2024,and the money is up for grabs,no matter your nationality. Mind you, most of that money is going into creation of startups and skills acquisition.

My advice to all and sundry, myself included,is to up your game. Create opportunities or be crushed by the success of others. Sink or swim, that is the rule, even in Nigeria!

Europe nor be your papa house where your mama dey cook night food!

Nigerians and their sense of entitlement! Person open blocked account for his own expenses and he is shouting that he invested in Germany.

My younger sister's tuition fees in Canada, is more than ten times that I came to Vienna with! And I will be demanding that Europe takes care of me,amid rising inflation, unemployment and the rise of right wing nationalism? Am I crazy?

Check out the fees that Nigerians are paying in DTU and Aalto, and then compare it with your so called "investment" in Germany!

I never said you get pr while schooling. The law clearly states you are eligible to land pr as a student migrant after schooling or being a graduate of a German institution of which you must have landed a job related to your field waiting for you before graduating or in 18months after graduating

You asked me to cite another example of a disgruntled person...other than the nl guy

Most Nigerian students have a job even before graduating here, some got a job in their field while still studying .

The only few people I know who had a hard time here getting a job after studying are those who who don't know how to speak German.

If you study some courses, you don't necessarily need to know the German language. People in IT can get a job without knowing how to say 'hello' in German.

I hardly know anyone who studied here who isn't doing well in their field. It isn't all that rosy though wink.

And that's why it's good to always research before studying any course here, some courses aren't just lucrative in DE. Apply to study in big cities, where getting a job wouldn't be difficult. Don't just apply to any city for the sake of studying here. I'm saying this cause I have a friend who lives in a big city and she made three thousand euros a month after tax working during the holidays. And she made this while doing the so called 'menial jobs'. And oh, she doesn't know how to speak German wink.

I hate when people talk about menial jobs as if it's a bad thing to do. If after graduating and one couldn't find a job or needs to learn German, what's wrong in doing a menial job for the time being?.

Most Nigerians here do menial jobs and it's a fact, I don't see anything wrong with it undecided. Nigerian students or even German students themselves do menial jobs while still studying till they are ready to work in their field.

If you are not ready to do a menial job at least for once, then Germany isn't for you, sorry!. These menial jobs have enabled men to bring over their wives and children to Germany, so you can't tell me nothing!.

Yes it's abroad but it's not meant for you if you are lazy and too proud to do a menial job!.
Please which city is best to study Chemical Engineering in Germany in terms of Job Opportunities ?.

As brutally honest as a German.

Sugarcoating the truth or statement with a euphemism to make the "I don't know a bit nice to hear," is something Americans or the British and nigerians are known for but not germans cos dey are unapologetically blunt.

grin if dey don't know something deyll tell you dey don't know it. Not because dey hate you, but because it's fact lol

So if you see her do that you smile and be proud that the German culture is completely rebooting her system wink

I stopped quoting you because I realised I was dealing with someone who thinks he's so smart in a discussion he knows nothing about.

You really want us to come here every day and whine about the negative sides of living in Germany which have been mentioned on the German thread countless times, which can be found online too.

Are you frustrated and angry you just realised nobody go give you PR just because you studied and got a job within 1.5 years which to me doesn't make sense. If you read their immigration laws clear enough you will see that time spent as a student doesn't really count that much.

As someone not on student visa, I'm eligible to apply next year after 5 years of living in Germany but if I were on student visa I would have not qualified for PR because the rules are different.

You talk about us not sharing the bad sides. The bad sides which I'm sure have been mentioned here again and again include the language, racism, difficulty to get a job after studying if you need to know the language or if your course isn't lucrative in Germany, being on tight schedules because of studies, rude officials in the foreign office, juggling two jobs at the same time, difficulty to get an apartment as a student. Others can add theirs too and I strictly mean only people living in Germany!.

What again do you really want to hear.

Pr this pr that. Some of us just want to live in a system that works, that's it.

If you want pr, come and get it undecided.
