you have no problem.ui doesn't make use of waec results,as long as u don't have any D,E,or F in your olevel.ui is also the most transparent school in terms of admission, when you get the cutoff, you have automatic admission and you also stand a high chance because you're from ELDS.

But I must warn you tho,UI is madly competitive, you can get 300+ in jamb and still not gain admission because you fell behind with two marks in the post utme.just try to Target 300+ next year's jamb and read like mad for the postutme,Target like 75+ too for the postutme.the postutme is a bit more technical than jamb, and also no use of calculators.
In everything you do,just let God take control

There is no minimum cut-off mark per say. Each institution places their cut-off marks as they deem fit. You would do well to be more specific about the medical school you're interested in.

And no one's pissed off with you. At least I am not wink

Somebody help me, how do I set my calculator on my phone, it is giving me wrong trigonometric values, e.g sin 30 is giving me -0.9880 instead of 0.5, how do I fix it?
If your calculator displays RAD as shown in the first screenshot below it will give you wrong answers for trigonometry. You have to switch it from RAD to DEG which is shown in the last screenshot

Just got into 200lvl? Don't worry, it's always like that. Don't let that even worry you at all. Anatomical terminologies are just new to your system. It happened to me too. Just get a good textbook and devote yourself to it. Try to use the textbook recommended by your school and combine it with atlas. With time you'll become familiar with it.
Thanks.

I agree with the fact that the University of Ibadan's admission process is usually hitch free when you merit your desired course. However, things have changed at her college of Medicine as the following now obtain:

Hostel Accommodation: Hitherto, hostel accommodation at UI main campus used to go for N14,000 now it's N30,000 in the Halls of Residence on the main campus and N40,000 at ABH{Alexander Brown Hall}, where Medical students, Physiotherapists-in-training, Dental surgery students and Medical Lab students undergo the clinical phase of their training. However some pay as much as N60,000 when they cannot secure a bedspace legally and have to buy from a third party.

Technology fee: This was a recent development which we all Uites resumed to this session. We all had to pay a technology fee of N6,500. What the money would be used for was not stated; no one knows.

Professional training levy: I had to save the best for the last grin. This began about 2 years ago. Students of Medicine and Dentistry pay N70,000 between 200L and 300L{Pre-clinicals}. From 400L to 600L{Clinicals}, they pay N85,000.

Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy and Nursing students pay N70,000 at 200L and N85,000 from 300L to 500L.

Students of Physiology and Biochemistry{Laboratory fees} pay N20,000 from 200L to 400L

Environmental Health Science and Human Nutrition and Dietetics students pay N50,000 in 200L and N70,000 from 300L to 400L.

Ps:
*Environmental Health Science is an incipient course at the UI. The very first set of students should be resuming next year.

*School fees are different and distinct from the above stated fees.

*Without the payment of the professional training fee, technology fee and school fee, Medicine and Dentistry students would be disallowed from sitting for their professional examinations.

*If a students repeats, then all payments have to be remade where necessary.

*If anything at all, these fees are expected to climb as the years go by.

*If you are looking to study any course at the COM_UI, in addition to having the requirements, please have money.
professional fee this year is 100,000 and we don’t know if it will increase further. Resist students pay 25% of the professional fee.

Medicos in the house I greet u all.

A friend of mine just gained admission to study medicine in a state university, she told me it was mainly through connection as she didn't beat the cutoff.she had 255 in jamb but I dunno about her postutme score, just that she didn't beat cutoff.
Problem is that she told me she's scared because of the fact that she didn't make it on merit, because we all know how hard med school is,she feels she's not intelligent enough to study medicine, but she has passion for it and that's what she really wants to study.she feels that people who get 280+ in jamb are the ones smart enough to study medicine

Please any advice for her?
“it doesn’t matter how you got in, what matters is that you graduate”. One of my lecturers always says this. She should be rest assured she is fine.

Hello everyone, please i need your advice here. I am 25 i just finished my BMLS programme. I was intending to study medicine from the start at LAUTECH. After beating cut off and the the likes during that year, unfortunately, there was no admission to study medicine due to accreditation issues then. I was forced to study MLS due to the fact that i entered through pre-degree. Now that I finished my BMLS program, my passion for medicine has not ceased. I have not gone for my internship as part of BMLS program yet.
My question is can i apply in any school to study medicine through D.E (Note, i only have my statement of result yet ) or I should start all over and write jamb and utme. I will appreciate meaningful contributions. Thanks very much.
before choosing a school confirm your certificate will be accepted. Take utme along to cover all bases

It looks interesting, but I think that if you want to do such calculations, you need to buy a high-quality multifunctional calculator. For example, here is one of them https://wowpencils.com/ti-84-plus-ce-review/. Here you will find a detailed overview of this calculator. I think this is a good option for you.

Yes one would be paid. The amount increases with time which means a Junior resident (registrar) does not earn the same thing a Senior resident earns.
