it seems you are not very grounded in finance/bussiness ,This amount for shops are not imaginary or by fait,is the rental value for the locations and potential sale revenue .....shops in main market like a whole sale iron rod dealer shop ...if shop is sold at 15m it will be rented for over 1m annually,This prime location can make sales of over 200k daily selling lace

Was thinking the 20m is rent, i can understand outright sale. Truly I'm not a fan of buying and selling, am an engr as per training and career and my business line will definitely be production, even its tooth pick and by then I will have enough savings for risk tolerance. It will be my hobby and activity to keep me busy after I leave my present job.

you need to know that for me to even mention Primary and Secondary rates then it means I have an idea of what I want to invest into. I only came here to seek for people's opinion and it's not that I'm going to swallow it hook, line and sinker. The decision that I'm going to make still lies with me..
I have seen people come here to ask 'how do I invest in the primary market?' and people have answered them with nice responses and not a harsh one like the one you provided here trying to sound like one intellect.
I think sometimes we need to do better as human beings.

I sincerely apologize. You are right.

I would like to invest in T-bills, Is it advisable I wait for primary market which is next week or I do for secondary market by going to the bank today? And please what's the rate for first Bank in the last primary market auction?

To be honest sir, the decision is yours. Secondary market stems from primary investors calling up funds and the financial institution swapping the remainder of the portfolios. Considering these are historical placements, the interests may be higher but expectedly, the bank will take its own margins, offer you yours and cancel off any costs of the swap.. so you may very marginally find it close to what current primary market rates are. Truth be told, banks are in it to make money and you have little choice but to take what you are given. So in answer to your question, when you see the rates and tenor, you will know.

And to your second question, call up FBank early in the morning by 10am and you will get a secondary rate for that day

Good day house.

I did my T bill on December 28th 2018 for 300 days and it's expected to mature today.

I used First Bank and they usually credit me before 10am of the maturity day.

However, I have not been credited till now. Please has any body experienced this recently with First Bank and is it possible I don't get paid on the date of maturity?

Banks (like GTB) are advertising and begging customers to take loans at ridiculous rates based on CBN directives. Now a larger part of this loan ends up in TBills. You see it makes no sense?

The essence of loans I believe is to encourage new startups and improve business processes. Sadly, many of these banks like GTBank give loans at 1.75% rate only to Salary earners (with salary account). Question is, how can a salary earner do business or encourage startup?

This directive seems like a 'cold war' between CBN and Banks, each trying to play smart.

By denying individuals opportunities to invest in TBills, salary earners will avoid loans, those taking the loans will divert to real businesses and startups (like franchise, agrictechs, fintechs, etc.), and banks will be forced to consider entrepreneurs without a salary account.

You have said it all.
Sometimes,I wonder why banks prefer to give loans to salary account holders to giving loans to start up entrepreneur.
I believe alot needs to be done in this area by regulatory bodies.

Risk..risk...risk.... a salary earner has a lower risk profile though one just does not understand how it works to be encouraging him/her to be distracted. But hey you are right. This over-regulation needs a further looking at... and there are loads of ideas to offer

Okay..
Thank you, as I learnt a lot from this as well.
I just have a simple question though.
I quoted the question that warranted this answer yesterday, and one of the responses mentioned some salient points and one of them just struck me and I've been thinking.
Is it wrong to invest for the sake of being wealthy? By wealthy, I mean having enough money to take care of yourself, family and others who will come your way. And also of course expanding your interests and investments.
Because the person kind of mentioned, what is your intention for desiring to trade in T Bills. I don't know about others, but mine is as mentioned above.
I hope it's a good one, and I pray it's possible that TBills, along with other wise investments can take me there.

I have descent investment with Crowdyvest, +ve testimonies from colleagues cum genuine personal investigation informed my decision. I've had them on my radar for a while though. I was convinced with practical proof before investing with them. I also have sizable stake with Agrorite which has higher ROI and invariably higher risk.
But more importantly, there's a caveats emptor attached to the post.

Good day house, I nodded for TB @secondary market last, it was successful and have been rewarded accordingly. My question now is that what do I need to have as an evidence that i bought treasury bill through till maturity. I am still a learner. Thank you.

Its the exactness in expectations that stifles the ability to explore and break into new frontiers which many businesses never break into. Giving this ordeal, Nigerians don't know how to do business. That's why industries don't make budget for R & D, cause we all believe in exactness and see no need for experimentation with the results of the hypothetical experience as the gains. I'm the C.e.o of an agritech company, ive spent over 10 years carrying my research to people to invest in, but thank God today, I found a few faithfuls who chose to dare next year watch out for my brand. cheesy

Caveat Emptor. Latin for "let the buyer beware." A doctrine that often places on buyers the burden to reasonably examine property before purchase and take responsibility for its condition. Especially applicable to items that are not covered under a strict warranty.
It simply places the onus on the buyer to do his due diligent before making purchase decision/commitment.

Just go back to your bank where you subscribed for the TB and ask them to give you proof of investment. They will print it for you. It's as simple as that.

I must say that the banks are the cause of it all. I once tried to access BOI funds through several medium, but to no avail, succeeded in YES-P training and all, but still no funding, now i gave up, only for them to visit my company one day and was trying to see if already-made big companies can access the loan. it pained my soul. If i was given that loan today, i will use it for TB and i won't feel bad one bit.
