Hello,

Thank you for your candid response. Will work on it. Please i need your opinion here, i have a sponsor for the duration of my intended study in SA, is it advisable i include a bank statement of mine that has close to a balance of N3m (its in my late mum's name(her estate account which i inherited)) or do i just include only my salary account? Do not want to implicate myself.

Thank you for your candid response.

Go to the momentum website and complete the online form. You will get to the payment page. Pay with your card and your medical aid certificate will be emailed to you. Here is the link https://mmsa.momentum.co.za/mmsa/infocentre/studentapp.jsp

I think you have to go to Abuja. I have heard someone here say it can be done elsewhere but I am not too sure of that. Please go back about 10 pages or so and search, you may find the person's response there.

If you opt to go to Abuja, there are touts/agents who will attempt to 'assist' you there at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It should be done in a day.

Cheers and all the best.

My last take on this, if your brother is legally married, let him apply for a spousal visa. If there's any issue, she can easily petition home affairs and everything would be easily sorted.

Home affairs would accept any valid marriage certificate that's authenticated by the ministry of foreign affairs

Apply for a Visitors visa and it goes side ways, he's on his own.

For the records, you can't change status from visitors to relative permit.

In fact, you can't convert from visitors visa to anything in South Africa.

Yes you can now change status from visitors visa to relative permit based on the ruling by the South African constitutional court in June this year. Find document for the ruling here. People have started using it and getting their visas converted. Please note it is only visitors visa to relative permit in legal marriage to a South African citizen or permanent resident holder

Hey Guys! Does anyone here know how long it takes to process VISA APPLICATION WITHDRAWAL?

I applied for 7 Days VISA with my colleagues 2 weeks back, 23 were given.. just 2 of us are yet to hear from them. Even those with virgin passport didn’t even take up to 10days.

We have every document needed as we all used the same format.

Well, I need to travel to another country for work and these people are taking forever. I just want my Passport back.

Oga please don't give people wrong information. Maybe you should properly read what he wrote again. Because he is legally married in Nigeria to a SA citizen does not even have any effect in SA since he has not paid a Lobola and has not been in any long relationship with the woman for a minimum of 2years within SA. As such any application for any type of permit may/will be refused.

For the record if you don't know....VISITORS VISA CAN BE CONVERTED to some types of permit. Make you findings right before advising people.

Cheers

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by bibike123: 1:16am On Oct 24, 2019
Which type of visa did you apply for?
Spousal, relative, student,CS visas take long.
but if it's visit visa, from resent happenings, it should have been out by now.

So, track it, if it says under assessment, go back 3 or 4 pages back, you will see the email that has been working wonders, send a good mail.
Pls try to make your mail, short, simple, straight to point and no authoritative words

This the response I got after mailing them
Client, please note that your enquiry has been referred to Immigration Services for further considerations.

My application was done on the 23rd of July but till date, no response. Let them return my passport since the hotel fee is wasted and Xenophobia is everywhere.

At about 10.30am, the team proceeded to another block of flats on the same street where blocks of Cat, crystal meth and heroin valued at R1.1-m were uncovered before a 39-year-old male flat tenant was apprehended, said Mokheseng.

Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Sgt Dipuo Ditsheng said the suspects were detained at Kempton Park Police Station for dealing in and possession of drugs.

Kempton Park SAPS commander Brig Samuel Maredi applauded the involved members for uncovering the drugs and ridding the streets of thereof.

This is sad. No one really cares if xenophobia is meted out on these Mofos, but it should be selective. There are many honest and hardworking Nigerians in South Africa who are positively contributing to the economy, they should be supported as long they remain crime-free.

Hi all,

I submitted my application for a tourist visa at the VFS Lagos on the 27th of August, 2019. My Passport is still being held up at the South African Embassy. Each time I track my application via the VFS Global website, all I get is "application is under assessment at the South African High Commission, Lagos". I have sent a mail to the DG's mailbox shared here, but got a response about four days later that my enquiry has been forwarded to immigration.

Worse thing is, my travel date is tomorrow.

I don't understand why a Tourist Visa application to an African country will take this long to process.
