Hey guys,

I got 2 questions.

1. Is is Stanbic MMF tax free ?

2. Let’s say I invest 10M in Stanbic MMF and wanna withdraw all after 6 months if I’m no longer interested in the investment, is it possible?

Like can I pull out my money at anytime ?

They sent a message yesterday that they will be doing some routine maintenance or something like that now and they clearly said you will have difficulty accessing the account via app but in a situation of urgency, they gave out contacts you can reach .. didn't you get that mail??

The penalties are usually IF you withdraw within the first 30 day, you will be charged about 20% on incurred interest.
Yes you can withdraw anytime you so wish BUT if you withdraw after the first 30 days, no penalties to worry about.

Good morning house,

Please, what's the maximum amount one can redeem online on stanbic mmf?
skyangel:
Mine was 1million but I later increased it to 2.5million through the mobile app. You should check to see if you will be able to do more than that if need be.
So if I want to redeem let’s say 5M. How do I do it, or what’s the process ?

Either principal or interest ?

The only risk possible is when the institution folds up but still, CBN gat your back. Then when Nigeria no longer exists. Other than those, you are in good hands except hackers remember you

Yes the login details is for both web and app..the only differences are;
1.The web will still require an OTP while the app no longer requires OTP since their last upgrade.
2. The app requires your full phone number while the web require only the last 4 digit of your phone number.

Hey guys,

I know of someone who invested 50 million in Stanbic MMF

Now my question is this, is it a smart move investing such huge amount at once in Stanbic MMF ?

Thanks

I depends on what you perceive as smart move. It also depends on the risk appetite of your uncle.
There are good businesses with good returns and high risk factor. But if your man wants to play safe, MMF can be said to be a smart move.

He has investments in real estate.

In fact, the 50M was proceeds from sale of one of his properties

You can update your redemption limit though your online log in (not mobile app)
Just log in to your online account, you'll select redemption limit, update, type in 5,000,000 or whatever amount you want to update to, answer your secret question and update. It is that easy.

I thought there is a limit of N2.5m, or is there a way to increase that beyond? I am curious to know.

Are you willing to give out your login details to the person to use and fund your account via the apphuh (Be security conscious oh).
But If the person is doing a direct deposit/transfer to the Stanbic mmf bank account, then you have to furnish him/her your account details (name and number) to fill the bank teller appropriately.

Well, I've not had reason to go beyond 2.5 m . I have not for once had more than that in my mmf account.

You should try out the tip as @Boyhood rightly said. Let the house know how it goes.

One of the requirements to open a Stanbic MMF account is proof of address showing your name/surname

Can I use my GTBank account statement?
