we shouldn't just be praising buhari for this, the federal government has made it point, it's time to listen to the genuine complains of our nieghbouring countries, let's not decieve ourselves that we don't need them,if n when they choose to gang up against us the results will not be too pleasant.

no one is an island truly , but in international trade... we must balance out trades or loose forex... buhari should only listen when the ghana president himself comes to abuja to assure us that he is commited to end smugling through thier ports and stop harrassing Nigerians in ghana just for owning a mere shop

Nigeria is not where it should be but it does not mean we should not take it upon ourselves to put her back on course. I am certain Nigeria does not particularly hate any African country, not even South Africa. We are at worst indifferent about their existence. We have embraced Ghanaians from all walks of life; from the movies [Van Vicker, Dumelo, Juliet, Appiah, John etc. are all popular names in Nigeria] to entertainment, to sports etc. But Ghana has always been about how to undermine us, for reasons still unknown. All the forays that Nigerian brands have made into Ghana were by way of 'helpless acceptance', not out of love.

The truth is, the only countries that can be said to be ahead of Nigeria in Africa [on some metrics] are South Africa and Egypt; South Africa by the robustness [not size] of its economy and European-standard infrastructure, and Egypt by its sheer military capability.

Nigeria, the biggest economy on the continent, will only move on to consolidate its status as Africa's biggest country. Traducers like Ghana can only watch helplessly. We still will not hate Ghana.

In all sense of decorum, Ghana is TOO SMALL A FRY!

This border closure has revealed that West African countries depend on Nigeria for inflow of cash for their developments. I don't know why their presidents have not visited buhari on this issue . Let them come and beg before the closure becomes permanent.

The ones leaving Ghana can get to Benin through Burkina Faso. The ones not allowed to enter Nigeria can go back to Benin and exit through Burkina Faso back to Ghana. Longer route, but they have an option.

This border closure is killing businesses in Nigeria but govt don't know, they are protecting rice and killing one million businesses. like it or not our neighbouring countries buy 40% of what we produce go the border and see over a thousand trailers moving goods out of the country majority manufactured here even agricultural products
My customer from Niger Republic told me how they donated money for their friends who main trade is to buy orange from the south here and sell in Niger Republic but was cut out and the lorry load of oranges spoiled leaving him bankrupt this orange is an agricultural product also and is one among hundreds also suffering. Some companies are producing at 50%capacity now for lack of customers, the govt should have a rethink.

I remembered sometimes ago Ghana made a law restricting certain level of business to her citizens only,ECOWAS intervened n the law was relaxed for ECOWAS citizens,it the prolonged border closure by Nigeria that is provoking retaliatory actions from Ghana, the federal government can explain her terms to the countries involved, open the borders n observe what happens while gathering concrete evidences for further actions instead of buhari just forming Mugabe that may turn around to hunt us in future.

its cheaper to move goods within west africa through the land because with a truck load of goods cost #450k from Ghana while shipping company will charge more and wait to load more goods which will take some days or weeks and to clear at the border is faster and safe unlike the port with much touts and many challenges like traffic, physical examination unlike scanning machine at the border

We're not a great country. We're just great consumers, and most countries around the world profit from the fact that we don't make shit, don't have the patience and willingness to make it, and keep choosing bad leaders who don't know about making shit.

THIS IS BIG BROTHER !! Hamed close that border,

a few weeks later Ghana started crying more than Benin Republic and Niger. thats to show you how Ghana and all our neigbours have been feeding of Nigeria for years. Nigerian Government will use our billions of dollars to subsidize goods coming from asia and europe, and ghanians will sneak into Nigeria to buy goods from Alaba, Idumota, Trade fair, Computer village and Ladipo markets in a much cheaper rates than going to Asia to buy them with their own hard currency. I dont want to talk about petrol cos we all know what goes on there.

Even tho am not Buhari fan, for years now Ghanaians have been lying to us that they don't do trading in Nigeria. but the day we will start Ghana Must Go part 2, the whole world will be shocked how much Ghanaians are leaving in Nigeria. It's going to start with Oga Kwame that operates a restaurant in my street. he will be shocked the day we will descend on him.

Bleep they are everywhere..just today I have seen five despite the rain..they are very easy to support, their Kente fabric and wierd English accent makes it easy to spot them..

Hahaha this ghanians are too ugly to view. They should try saying "cheeeeeesssss" when next a camera is pointed at their faces so we can know if that act will reduce the level of ugliness I am see right now..

Don't come for my head oooooo ...oh wait you can grin grin grin
