How did we as a nation get to this pitiable situation where job slots are allocated to senators even before the vacancies are made public? Why have we replaced 'merit system' with 'sharing system'. This practice will keep marginalising many other Nigerians who are equally entitled to these vacancies but may not get the opportunity to these job not because of lack of competence or qualification but because they are not connected enough to these politicians. This unholy practice is good enough for a protest, because we cant build a better Nigeria with this evil system. The youths must arise and let their voice be heard.

When I was making a nairalander know the reality he said I had bad energy, hope these opens his eyes to the reality of job slots and not merit as he was dreaming.

FIRS, CBN job slots to senatotors. I expect all the media houses, journalists, civil societies, Nigeria labour congress to rise and speak against this evil system of allocating job slots to senators instead of throwing all the slots open for the public and pick based merit
Re: Job Slots Brouhaha: Senate Leaders Move To Appease Aggrieved Members by awoluyi(m): 6:51pm On Nov 02, 2019
The job slots are not meant for the children of common men who served as thugs and armour bearers during elections. They are reserved for the politicians' children who returned to Nigeria after the violent elections.
Were the thugs and armour bearers not paid during electioneering campaigns?
I reject "abalayefòwòtism" in my life.

Meaning dey'll appease aggrieved members with their own slots meaning less slots for f ordinary unconnected Nigerian

It is not even about the unconnected Nigerians... The impact of this is that FIRS CBN that should be manned by top quality technocrats will be occupied by touts just the way the civil service and local government are run this days

Smh. And the idiots who get these 'good' jobs through this terribly corrupt way would also form legit and raise their voices to condemn yahoo boys? Where is the level playing field for 'hard work' and its legitimate rewards?

People are mad in this country. The roof needs to come down and crush these hypocritical motherfuckers. You illegally corner and restrict opportunities, yet you won't let the deprived people trying to make ends breathe. It's time the masses damned all consequences and just rip these bastards apart in the streets. They are the real enemies, NOT yahoo boys.
No mind them. Everybody for country na theif, na Who dey catch be criminal.

Lawan the senate president, your list is not complete yet, you must have deliberately left out DPR, another slot you people shared amongst yourselves. Lawan, while you appease your members for ills, appease the youth by employing does that passed interview on merit at DPR that you refused to employ only to employ those who did not attend interview at all because they dont have politicians at the top, may the gods of this land judge and punish you all. Lawan, your credibility is questionable.

U have given d solution to d problem as we can see d people of Iraq, Ecuador, Lebanon, Chile, hong Kong, Pakistan all demanding for change. But not Nigerians. We are comfortable with what we have. Sowore called on all Nigerians to rally but d dude is in prison. Instead of Nigerians to support him& what he stands for, our people are busy fighting 4 tacha, mercy and naira marley

Can a nation that openly practices such wickedness and nepotism prosper. I will say this it wont take long before Nigeria Rip apart because we are all sitting on gun powder. This same politicians steal public funds, make rubbish and useless policies, send their children abroad and keep juicy job slots for their children and people go about their daily business as though all is well. If as a youth in this nation and you are still carrying ethnic placard you are a fool. How can a man pick 23 slots and obviously his family is made already, where then lies the hope of the common man
