I must be only one selling cars I guess.. My brother you forget am not based in Naija.. Am based in the USA.. So let break it down to you... when buying a car ,I have factor in my opportunity cost.. I have a regular job ,now do I now leave my job and start to chase cars all over the place? Would it be worth it .. Do u know the times it takes to search for a car ? Arrange a tow truck to tow the car to the port.. Do u think it is easy like that .... And the time it takes to do all the logistics. When u now compare the time u put in vs the profit margin.. Compare my living expenses and standard of living.. Would be worth it ? Lol smh.. The profit of 100k might mean a lot to you guys ,but for us na waste of time .. Even ship 50 cars a month or more. It will mean I will have to leave my job.. We all know it takes time to sell those cars. So money is tied down for months. Keep in mind am not the only person selling cars in Lagos.. I can go and on ,but only if you knew what it takes my brother.. Meself am lucky ,the port is very close to my house . Its about 20 minutes away .. What about other people that are hours away from the port.. Or do u think u just call a tow truck and he will be ready rite away.. You are basically on their time table.. Whenever they are the attend to you , you not the only that needs their cars to be drop off at the port..

My brother lol.. Only if you know what I know smh... Time is money and money is time ...you can always make money and get money.. But you can never buy time.. So use your time wisely ..for those that are in the car business I don't knock your hustle.. But for me I like cash flow and I will continue increasing my fleet.. I can't even keep up with demand from drivers looking for cars now self ...... Either way God bless our hustle and let's challenge ourselves to think outside the box ....

My analysis are based on the profitability of you, having already shipped 20 cars, so far, this year, as against Uber "fleet". Give me a contrary analysis as to how one is more profitable than the others.

You are not living better than most of us here, cut the bullshyte. To any business man, every profit, even 10 kobo is very important, even to Dangote.

Some of us on the thread, travel to that your USA to buy cars and stuffs, you know. So they lie small small

All this long write up are really unnecessary as they are bereft of facts. Who has time to read it?

I dont recall drivers delivering 40k at the year u mention it was 35k that I recall and now is 30k. . And u said uber keep crashing their prices and am curious to know which prices they are still crashing.. Plus uber has added incentives ,that has been going on for the six months plus.. And also we had a guy that does it part time and he makes good money doing.. The guy gave a step by step how does uber on his way to his office..
Also I have a driver that drives for me now .. He has driving for me for the past 4 months now .. The driver before him did well and complain the job slavery etc. The new driver has been doing a great job. He does A lot offline trips and he delivers on time.. He seems he knows how to space himself.. We normally do inspection every two weeks on the cars.. But since the drivers are good and they know what they are doing . We no longer do the inspection .... The only time we know the condition of the cars is when it's at the mechanic for one or two repairs.. Than my mechanic gives us a feed back on the car.. So people that are making it ,they are making it .

@the bolded. Just wanted to point that out. Remember how orca wanted to bring this whole place down because someone requested he go offline? Remember how you supported his rants as well? Guess what, that uber driver was actually your driver.

They don't rub anything "special". The first step is to take out any body hair- shave, wax or use hair removal creams. After that, using any body lotion with even groundnut oil, will give that shine. Though some can use baby oils or scented body oil.

The fairer she is, the more attractive it would be to (most) men. Some (might) mix a lil bit of foundation with oil. Just for some balance cheesy

This year alone have ship close to 20 cars and mostly for a client via Nairaland.. When I look at the profit margin and stress , compare it to uber.. Uber is more profitable for me. I find ways to use my time effectively to maximize profit.. Me and u know car business get has it be.. Am thinking for the future and also outside the box.. But I don't knock your hustle, sell your cars or however longs it takes you to sell .. I rather have weekly cash flow

You keep making contradictory comments everywhere, seems so confusing.

First you say Uber is profitable to you and attack those who assume otherwise as not knowing what they're doing, citing your "success story" on the platform, ok

Then you say car biz in naija is dead cos it didn't quite go down well with you and attack everyone else doing it as being "lazy" or not wanting to do "hard work", and you also cite your inability to make ends meet on car biz.

How about I also tell you this, that youre lazy and don't want to do hard work, hence your sad stories on your car dealing adventure.

And you're right, 20 cars since this year is really a poor turnover rate, so obviously, you really don't have it so good in that field either. Doesn't mean it's same for everyone else is all I'm saying. Just do your own hustle and leave others alone and stop branding people, no be you sabi pass.

As for the bolded, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about,me and you don't know as any car biz be. You're way out of your depth on that area obviously.

cool

The only thing that can make me drive empty to the island is if my client need me at a particular time and destination trip is not helping, d way I'll b frowning inside the car self, for me working is not by force, if trips r not coming, sleep will obviously come or I use my head to figure out other things. I can't guaranty any price as work may melt someone sometimes, but positioning and not going to all trip still remain d main tin, outside that where u set out from for the day is also important. Most times I start work from surulere have always been a drag. But if I find myself around ogba or Berger ard 7am... I'll gently drive down to omole estate and isolate from drivers, I don't set destination or bother to cancel short trips going to magodo 1 or 2, ogba or ikeja, I take dem as deh come, as long as its not 10 30 yet, your chances of getting long trip is still cool... Most times I can do short trips from omole to magodo, magodo to opebi, opebi to alausa, just within the axis I'll make 5k, from dia maybe ard 12 noon get a trip to V.I that 7k5 from V.I/ikoyi lekki may pop in, if it gets to chevron that around 2k (9k5) and if u find a trip back or further to sangotedo, ur money keep increasing, but once I find myself back to phase one and my dash is displaying 12/13k ard 5/6pm... I'll gentle set destination trip back to ogba and gently go through d back door to Awolowo rd, if I'm not getting a trip worth 2k I'm not leaving dia, most time u get surge ard that time. You can consider a trip to yaba and drive to unilag (Sure zone).

Does it really matter?

Same as on Uber/taxify platform, there are the ones that are driving their cars and there are those driving others cars on rental, doesn't really matter, most important thing is that everyone earns a living

Stop dancing around in circles, just take the message and stop quoting me : you have no right to judge anyone's hustle by branding them lazy cos they couldn't meet up with your expectations, just enjoy your 30k weekly in peace and leave others alone

Especially these girls, the way they ask one will think they want to give u directions.
Next thing u will hear is 'please can u follow the map?'
It doesn't disturb me again.
Once I call you I will tell u where I am right away, some of them that ask where are u don't even know where they are just tell them u are at kunle street the next thing u hear is 'where is that?' grin

The best part, I was already on 3% net at 20k net.
I didn't calculate fuel cost cos it was just as if I was working for myself since the commission was insignificant.

It was the other person that motivated me as I never really bothered. The reason is just that the more I drive, the more repairs I make on the vehicle.
This is what I intend doing tomorrow on the vehicle but it has been an impending fault but high usage during the week brought it beyond manage.
