Who doesn't know about the misappropriation and mismanagement of funds going on in our higher institutions? Na only get fingers to type "long long English" (in Mercy Eke"s voice). I feel for him but he brought this mess upon himself
He is paying school fees and he is well within his right to call out the school authorities if they’re not doing their job well.

People will sit down in one coner of their rooms and write whatever what pleases them, what they can't be substantiated or defended without thinking damages of that write-ups. They write to be popular and play victims.

Am fully in support of government to regulate what individual posts on social media.

Shhh.
He is a student.
He wrote based on his experience and facts.
Perhaps, you need to recheck the meaning of hearsay.

He should sue that university if he has some evidence to the allegations he accused the institution. But if he doesn't, then his move was a foolish one, and i hope he had it coming...

Now, no school will want to admit such a character!
even if he does not have any evidence, no one have the right to expel him. what if buhari start imprisoning all who speak against him? the school is a public property

He accused the VC of theft without concrete evidence? Well, I wonder what he was expecting after posting such a letter.

In Nigeria, if you want to protest, do it from a position of strength (Niger Delta Militants, for example).

This guy haff mad ó, and he has no one to tell him. A young guy sat down to compose all these mind boggling allegations against an institution and he was expecting a pat in the back... He really messed up big time, because no other university will admit him in the country again, except he travels out.
It's all good to be idealistic and all, but he should have considered his parent's sacrifice in this Buhari regime

Do u know in court of law in any nation, thr is punishment for false accusations? Do you know that similar case like this was posted on social media last year about a graduate and a lecturer in lautech? That even thou the guy had graduated, for not be able to come and substantiate is claims, his certificate was suspended and remains invalid till now?

tyranny and high handedness is surely going round

I didn't see the tyranny or high-handedness here.

He was expelled for making unsubstantiated allegations. He blatantly accused the authority of diverting funds. I mean, he wrote that lecturers all over the world were researching to save the world while FUNAAB lecturers were licking butts for political appointments. He even demeaned the office of the Vice Chancellor as a political appointment gotten through butt licking. These are allegations that are hard to prove which was why he could not substantiate his allegations when the Disciplinary Committee invited him to a meeting for the purpose of giving him a fair hearing.

He's not just in school to get his certificate and vamoose! He's being trained on how to put his brain to use and that includes how to rise up against bad leadership at all times. It's just unfortunate that we're in a country where those in leadership positions do all whatnot and get away with it because people like you think it is wrong to challenge them. No wonder nothing is working in Nigeria!

Meanwhile, someone like me would respect this Ifemosu guy more than some cowards who would rather swallow sh1ts from the authorities for fear of persecution! This is why illiterates rule over the supposedly literates in this country!

Schools have rules and regulations.

You are given a school handbook at your orientation.

Insubordination is an offence for which potential punishment includes expulsion or rustication. He is also lucky he was not arrested for defamation

I blamed the guy for not having concrete evidence before questioning the authority, I blamed him again for bringing the issue that should be air in the the school channel to social media

now he made activism end him in total blackout

I agree with you. Allegations were made, he was given the floor to substantiate these allegations but failed to do so woefully. He got what he deserved.

shocked

It's sad our public office holders hate to hear the truth even when it is so glaring for the blind to see

FG and bubu through lie Mohammed once tried and is still trying to silence the truth by putting stiff restrictions as to how the internet should be used by the youths. They forget the truth cannot be hidden forever

As for the expelled student, this should be a blessing in disguise if well utilized

I'm proud of him and he should be proud of himself for speaking out and standing for the oppressed.

Las Las, in Nigeria, school na scam

What has happened to the culture of academic freedom and and the right to activism? A university should not be governed by emperors. The vc must be a corrupt tyrant if he could go this far. After all, if the criticism was wrong, all that was needed was for the PRO, personal assistant to the vc or director of works to issue a counter with facts and figures. The fear or hate of criticism is the gab by which we identify tyrants. Sorry for any nation held hostage by power drunk bastards
