For one to think that PDP will deny Atiku ticket in 2023 after spending billions of naira in the last election, is just a waste of thought. Talking of Tambuwal, he unveiled his political strength in the last Guber election and I don't need to emphasize more. As for Kwankwaso, with all the noise he made with his Kwankwasiya's political group, he couldn't win his senatorial district. So I think Atiku, though age will not be on his side then, might have the stuff. Even though, which ever way it goes, it is a win win for the North.

Tambuwal is a massive failure and never a good option for the opposition party and it's south - east counterpart makes it a drown dream to come to limelight.

PDP are not ready yet to bounce back as their house is in great despair.

Yes. Anything less than Igbo PDP Presidential candidate, Ndigbo will revolt against PDP.

The sweetest part is that APC can win with Igbo candidate without getting majority in SE.
No reasonable party will pick it's presidential candidate from the south east. Even PDP will not do such mistake talk less of APC that have no foothold in the south east. APC will pick a candidate from the west and pair with Elrufai that's all.

Another journey in futility. Anyone can mark my word. Except gay and lesbian goes into extinction in the world, PDP can never produce Nigeria president again.

Very interesting speculations. Any major party that refuse to zone its ticket to the south is heading towards political doom. I want to believe that reasonable people are still in PDP and common sense will prevail at the end of the day.
Which reasoable people in southern pdp? lolz....

Is it d same 'people' that have bn blocking our eardrums with "its our turn" , "give us presidency or we die now-now" and have suddenly developed cold feet wirh no single kin of theirs showing interest?

The same 'people' that are currently rooting for d same northerners (atiku, kwakwansi, tambuwal etc) they so hate with gusto? grin

1. PDP is broke, they will still give the Ticket to Godfather or Candidate who pays the most. Not necessarily the best they have.

2. APC have the spread, resources, supporters, power, options of candidates and what it takes to retain power beyond 2023.

3. Politicians out of power are like fish out of water, the question is how long can they endure before decamping to greener pastures.

4. Those of us who reelected Buhari will never vote for PDP to return, loot and dismantle everything Mr. President is putting in place.

Summary, PDP will be wasting any money spent on 2023 Presidential election.
Please what is buhari putting in place and mind you apc only has the spread in the North and not in the south.

To be realistic, APC would not likely zone any office to the South East

APC get the lowest support in Nigeria from the south east

They also get the highest support in the South from the South West.

Zoning any office to the South East zone is like Signaling the End of APC because it would mean less vote from the South west and lesser vote from the East who will likely vote PDP.

And if by chance PDP fields a Northerner, that is going to be likely the End of APC as we know it.
Yes pdp should target a candidate that will give them 45-50% from the north and they are coasting to victory

Should PDP head north east and APC head south east, Ndigbo will definitely desert PDP.

An alliance of SW, SE, SS, MB and Buhari Supporters up north will not only defeat PDP but will get the party dismantled after the election.
igbos will not vote if the Igbo candidate is not whom they want. Go out Rochas there and see if they will vote. I think Soludo will do the magic but I doubt APC will even consider such. Tinubu hates igbos. Pure and simple.

If PDP can get their act together, 2023 might just be the year they finally take back power. The only edge APC has over PDP is PMB and come 2023, PMB won't be on the ballot. A study of the voting trends in the recently held 2019 elections will reveal that PDP comfortably has two regions(SE/SS) in its control and in spite of Tinubu's famed political sagacity, PDP retains a foothold in the South West. With Buhari not contesting in 2023, d Northern votes will be up for the taking and it's now left for PDP to grab the initiative and firstly play the role of a virulent opposition party pre 2023, organising a transparent selection process that will present a credible candidate who is acceptable to majority of the members of the party and d Nigerian voters and also running an issue based campaign. In all, 2023 is open for PDP, APC and any third force that may emerge between now and then
Even Buhari wasn't an edge over the PDP in the 2019 presidential election. He was roundly defeated. He just stole the mandate given to Atiku.

I don't pity Nigerians. Sane minds voting for Buhari as their President in this millennium is ridiculous.
Nigerians deserve what they got. Atiku wasn't a good choice either but there were credible candidates in the last election but graduates and undergraduates in this forum were shouting Sai Baba up and down.
I swear. Nigerians have sold their souls to APC buharia and PDP atikulated. And both of these two were not a good choice and just two sides of the same corrupt coin.
More credible alternatives existed, but we convinced ourselves that they will never win and limited ourselves to just those two.

But the North has indeed proved on many occasions not to be as greedy as we in the south portray them.

The north voted overwhelmingly for MKO despite having Bashir Tofa as a presidential candidate in NRC just to prove that they knew voting MKO was the fair thing to do.

The north voted OBJ and GEJ against northern candidates just because they knew that was the fair thing to do.

From history, while we in the south are always quick to shout "born to rule mentality of the north" we are actually showing that we do not mind cutting our nose to spite our face by wanting PDP to go north just to wrestle power back from APC even though we know that isn't the fair thing to do.

What happens to PDP giving their ticket to SE and APC to SW while they both pick their running mates from any zone in the north to make the contest interesting and fair? After all, SE is traditionally for PDP while SW is slightly for APC.

Hypocrite. Why didn't South West give GEJ a chance to finish? Why did South cut the nose of the South to spite her face in 2015?

From what u've bn reading from ds thread and others like it, does it show DT they thwmselves want it? Even they (SE) have (by their own utterances and body language) zoned it to d north.

Trust me, APC won't do that. APC will zone to the South and field a strong northerner as the running mate. El Rufai, Nuhu Ribadu and many other strong candidates as running mate to Tinubu, Osinbajo or anyone strong enough will defeat PDP even with a core northern presidential candidate. PDP will be exposed for their desperation and their readiness to engage in what is generally known/accepted as unfair tactic just to win back power.

And should PDP succeed with a northern candidate, SE will have forever kissed any chance of producing a Nigerian president good bye because such behavior will always be referenced in future contest. The SE will forever be tagged as the REAL SLAVE who sold South's turn to the North just to be VP.

You are just blabbing. What you are saying is what u people did in 2015 and shut da fork up.
