Good morning all.. Hope you're all doing great. Please has anyone ever paid for k2 visa.. I paid for k 98,050(fiance or spouse visa) @gtb and they said k2(child of k1) is not registered on their profile. I have called and emailed Lagosiv but no response till now. I need to schedule interview asap o. I don't know what to do.. Is k2 payment under k? If I select k as payment for k2 ,the receipt will bear fiance or spouse visa which is not acceptable right?
You need to pay another 98,050 for your Child. And what you are paying for is K Visa and not K1 or K2 or K3 or K4. The Banks don't differentiate the kind of K Visa. The same applies if you are applying for Spousal Visa (IR or CR), you and your Child will each pay 98,050.

So much money right? Yeah I know, it's expensive.

Hello house, Please can any of the senior men here give a step by step procedure on how to adjust status after marriage. Thank you
Cc @sharpman1 @LegitBachelor @Drenimarcus
The link Drenimarcus provided is perfect. Follow it judiciously. You can ask specific questions if you are having any issues.

I will also advice that you go and get the NPC Birth Certificate/Attestation which you will submit along with any other Birth Certidicate that you have. This is because there is now a pattern of people getting RFIE because of Birth Certificate.

Secondly, if you completed the required vaccination, you don't need to do any medical examination again in the States. You don't even need to fill the form I-693. All you need to do is photocopy the form DS-3025 given to you by the hospital where you did your medical checkup here in Nigeria and attach with the AOS application.

Yes. I am applying for k1 and I have already paid mine(98050). I wanted to know how to pay for my child k2

Hi, Are you applying for a K1 visa? Because that's is the fee you ought to pay N98,050 except the bank staff doesn't know what K1 stands for .. KIndly clarify

Guys,

Does my wife need to submit her tax returns for spousal visa alongside the i-130 or she needs to wait till an affidavit of support is required??

Someone should please direct me to any spousal thread in this forum.
I advice she submits her tax return, pay stubs and other financial documents (even though it is not requested). I've seen cases of people getting RFIE for Evidence of Financial Support.

I have been denied B1/B2 Visa once where I used *MARRIED* as my Marriage Status but I was never Married, I just used the *MARRIED* status for the B1/B2 VISA purpose. Now, I am legally married to a US citizen and she wants to start filing for me in the next months to come. MY QUESTION IS, do I have to do a divorce letter for my former Married Status?

Had my interview today

Got to the embassy at 5:30 am for my 7:30am appointment ,heard everyone including the security talking about the new fees of 40700 once your visa is approved and no one could explain what visa category needed to make that payment ,so I had to rush back to the hotel and got my atm to withdraw from the bank ,the guys outside were helping people for early interview withdraw and charged 1k.When I got back did normal security checks given number 14.

Went into the main building, submitted documents at window 16 submitted appointment letter ,Ds160,medicals,police report, tax return,w2,paystub,birth certificate ,gave me back some evidence my fiancee submitted to uscis and told to sit and wait for my number, there are seats for immigrants to sit and the non immigrants stand.

There were only 2 officers to interview immmigrants and they were approving people ,by 9am i was called to window 17.

He asked :
my relationship with my petitioner
How we met
When we met
How many visits
Dates
Why not marry in Nigeria ,didn't ask to see any document ,then he gave me 2 papers one for my rights in america and one circled where to pick up passport and visa would be ready in 2 weeks .

Congratulations!
I don’t think you were supposed to pay the visa issuance fee. The fee was meant for other categories as I read on ustraveldocs. Anyways all good.

I'm glad you finally got it. So now you don't have to worry about your petition expiration date, it should automatically be extended. I will however advice that you send an email to the Embassy to inform them that you've scheduled a date and also request that they extend your expiry date so that you can go for your interview. This is just to prevent any long story.

Special thanks to Dutchleez.

Pls the elders in the house,
what is the way forward for someone whose approved K1 petition will expired by 2nd of January 2020 but the available dates for an interview appointment now is from 8th of January 2020? Can a date be given by the US embassy before the expiration date of the approved K1 petition?

To pick a date? But the approved petition would have expired by 2nd of January 2020 but available dates for interviews on the calender started from 8th of January 2020.

I dont knw if you understood the question? How can one pick a date when his petition has expired before the available dates on the calendar

It doesn't matter. Just pick the earliest available date. If you delay you might not see those dates again.

I dont knw if you understood the question? How can one pick a date when his petition has expired before the available dates on the calendar
I understood you perfectly. Don't worry that there's no available date before the expiry date. Just go ahead and pick the earliest date available. If you delay, you'll end up not picking any date and the petition will expire on you.
