No it's not allowed.

One man's meat. I stutter naturally and I did not want the VO to mistake it for nerves, so that was the first thing I told the VO, who before me had denied every single person, including a well travelled clergy that had stood in front of her and I also asked her to be patient. She was patient and I ended up not stuttering at all. That said, I was not desperate and at the time I was okay with whatever outcome. I got the visa, despite being single, no kids and running my own business. Mine happened this. I also know from the horse's mouth that timidity and over humility does not impress them. There are notes etc but the burden of proof is on you and if you need to be heard, demand it or it ends us being wham bang thank you ma'am, that's not being desperate,
it's called being assertive, it's also a skill.

Personally, I’d be careful with this approach. FYI: long before you appear for your interview, the consulate likely would have reviewed the data on your DS-160 and added in their notes. This is the only logical explanation to why interviews sometimes last as short as a minute. The VO probably already knows what [s]he needs to know. Coming up to say: “hey, I want to be heard” comes at the expense of sounding desperate. Of course every applicant is there to be heard; saying it out loud is simply counterintuitive. Going on to start explaining things without being asked could see you shooting yourself in the foot.
My fist visa interview back in 2010 resulted in a denial and I wasn’t even given a chance to explain what seemed to be a concern to the VO. I secured another interview 3 days later with the help of a friend at CGI — and my interview lasted only 3 minutes. VO didn’t raise any of the concerns from my previous interview from 3 days ago; in short, my visa was issued. This is exactly why I mentioned earlier that your next interview may not necessarily follow the same pattern as the former. Carry all supporting docs to argue your case, be brief to the point and don’t forget your confidence at home. Show no desperation or slickness.

Actually you are speaking for yourself. Some of us love reading and learning to read will do you a world of good. My people perish for lack of knowledge. Same inability to read is the reason people will ask the same question that has already been answered on the very same page. Same inability to read is the reason people feel entitled to answers they can very well get by a simple search.

I'm sorry for using this word I never meant to use them... I ignored they guy at first I checked his profile then I learnt he was a moonie he registered 31/19 and he was rude asf.,........ I never meant to wrong wuki neither am I being insultive just saying he is eating up pages and he responded without adding insult.....

Yep, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t have come back home to reapply in Nigeria especially if you’re able to secure an earlier interview date in the islands. Back when I was on H1B visa, I flew from the States to the Bahamas for my visa interview. Lasted only 2 minutes and wasn’t as stressful. I’ve had few clients apply in next-door countries like Canada and Mexico with similar experiences. So if going to the islands is an option, I’d encourage that. Otherwise, try emergency appointment in Nigeria — with ample reasoning. Good luck

You must renew your visa if the validity date has expired. ... Only if the expiration date has passed is it necessary to renew the visa.

A friend has his interview for visa renewal in Lagos on Oct 2nd and he has still not been called to collect his passport. His current status on his CEAC profile is "Application Received". He has tried calling and sending emails but no one is explaining why it is taking so long. Has anyone experienced this before? If yes, how long did it take ? How did you sort it out? Thanks!
