I was at Zenith Bank yesterday to make enquiries and I was told that the new cbn policy does not affect tbills in any way as long as I'm not a debtor or owing money anywhere. I'm waiting for the next auction date which is sometime next week to see if my request for tbills will go through and what the interest rate will be.

So all this border closure and war against rice was just so Dangote would swoop in and start selling us overpriced rice.
Is the expensive cement not enough?

but the guy doesn't stop any one if you have the capacity to go into rice farming, so I looked at it from the perspective of an opportunity to everyone who has the gut

Cool, i prefer bank too. Like to go real analog when it comes to money. What is the minimum to invest in FG bond?, not saving bond. Which bank did you buy yours from? My overall tbs investments will drop next year February, so i want to get well prepared. Thanks

The directive does not seem logical though. A big firm will not sink its capital into treasury Bills. Capital required for operations, projects etc made unavailable to the company for 3 to 6 to 12 months for a 10% return?

I was afraid that the train would come to an end, but this doesn’t make sense

My banking officer says not true. They still did for a client yesterday

You can also buy FGN Bond through a primary market auction. The minimum for this is N100,000,000.00 .

The Q4:2019 schedule is also attached and the next auction is slated for 20-Nov-2019.

I made enquiry from afrinvest and above was what they sent to me. pls can someone clarify difference between coupon and yield. assuming i put in 500,000 at a coupon of 16.29% and a yield of 12.46% for 2yrs. what will be my yearly interest payment and at the maturity, will the capital still be N500k?.

Thanks.

Is it 100,000,000 or 100,000?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by needful: 11:14am On Nov 08, 2019

Good afternoon all.
I went to First Bank yesterday to submit my primary auction for next week.
I learnt now that the money has been deducted from my account now.
I don't have the idea of Primary TBS. I usually opt to secondary if not because of this new system.
People in the house, is that how primary TBS does. I thought it should be a DAT before auction day.

That has always been FBN style for primary market except they forget. Most times they take the money from your reach as soon as you request.

Your situation seem favourably different compare to mine. They keep telling me they have not been adviced to treat TB.. Even today I have been told same. So I have decided to gradually move my small savings as the TBs I have there matures.

Got 135 days at Stanbic this morning at 10.5%. Secondary market. They said secondary market will stop on the 29th of this month. People are really locking in their fund in the longer period. The reason why u cannot easily get long period for now.

I-invest is still selling TB. Guess the confusion is over
