There are few Ghanians here so deporting them won't create the necessary effect.

Nigerians in Ghana ought to liquidate their investments there and return en masse.

Our students too should do the same and vacate their universities.

Then they can have their country to themselves.

It's time to build ours.

Actually u are wrong.

There are more ghanians in Nigeria than Nigerians in Ghana.

It is just that Ghana has a smaller population in comparison to Nigeria that makes you think we are more.

Go to cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt, Ghanians have a visible present and even speak pigeon so u may not easily identify them, unles they tell u.

In my School the girl that sat next to me was Ghanian and a very wicked maths teacher was Ghanian. I know becos they told us

If Nigeria has a functioning Government, wat does it take to build a new market with a capacity to accommodate all the Nigerians traders in Ghana?

Nigeria have the money.

Does Nigeria need to have embassy in every country?

Simply call back the Nigerian mission to Ghana after ensuring the safe return of our citizens.

I did not say expel Ghanians or harm them, just leave them and see wat they want to do next.

We have no contiguous border with Ghana; no less than two countries separate us, so what is the fuss about?

The little orderliness that exists in Ghana is largely due to their small population, not because they are a very sane people. Some Ghanaian folks here have been making a lot of noise on GDP Per Capita; they conveniently forget the fact that it is within the same range as that of Nigeria that has a population seven times bigger. India has a GDP per capita that is even lower than that of both Nigeria and Ghana, but it is the 5th biggest economy in the world--bigger than that of The U.K., France, Spain etc.

About their stable electricity; the output from Egbin and Sapele power stations, working at full cycle ALONE, is equal to what Ghana actually produces in megawatts. You get the idea now.

Accra, their capital, is just at the level of Warri, a second-tier city over here.

If you ask their guys here to explain the reason for their persistent wailing on the closure of our own border, they would refer you to the ECOWAS Convention--a Convention they have never really honored; just look at the laws that they cited in the article [GIPC whatever], those laws are sharply in dissonance with the spirit of the ECOWAS Convention that they usually use as a ruse.

I say boldly that these guys are massively overhyped.

I only wish the Nigerians in Ghana return home and channel their energies into steering Nigeria out of the woods. I would really like to see what other joker Ghana would use to spite [as they think] us.

We are livid about the worryingly inappropriate level that Nigeria is, but we won't allow Ghana show itself at a parade it was not even invited, neither does it belong. Even in our sombre mood, we'd still remember that Nigeria has more satellites in space than any African country. Ghana can only start dreaming of a space program starting from 2090.

GHANA IS A VERY IMPOVERISHED COUNTRY and we do not give a flying Bleep about it.

Whatever happens to our borders will be wholely of our making.

QED.

God bless you, FemiMaduka!

I have always told Nigerians that the hype about Ghana is completely misplaced; it is beyond hyperbole.

I suspect that Nigerians who idolize Ghana are those who do not travel outside of Nigeria regularly. Ghana, and in particular, their capital (Accra) is comparable to Minna, Asaba, Abakaliki, Oshogbo, and other Tier-2 state capitals in Nigeria.

Anyone who has visited Ghana between 2009 and as late as last month will agree with your honest assessment! I have visited Accra, Tamale, Tema, and a few other towns (I can never address them as cities) in Ghana.

The entire economy of Ghana is at the mercy of IMF/World Bank! These two notoriously 'apartheid-loving' Bretton Woods institutions assist Ghana to pay salaries of their civil servants! That is the country my ignorant countrymen are hyping for nothing!

Nigerians, especially the youth, should read wide and travel wide.

Nigeria might have been a huge disappointment, on the basis of unbridled corruption of our greedy leaders over the years; however, a lot of the countries in Africa we idolize are worse than shit-holes!

so how did this write up help the 60 million nigerians living under one dollar a day?

How did it help those dying in Libya and Mali?

Upon all the rubbish you said about Ghana, your brothers still don't wanna come home so what does that tell you about Nigeria?

he border was closed in August 2019 to prevent the smuggling of products from neighbouring West African countries. Many trucks have since been stranded at the Seme border. Over the weekend, the Nigerian government announced that the restriction would remain till January 31, 2020.

If Buhari intention is to close border during Christmas and reopen after Christmas, then thunder will fire him.

That border should remain close, indefinitely.

To wat end is reopening border on 31 Jan 2020, wen u might as well open 31 Nov 2019 ahead of Christmas festivity.

It will take more than border closure to convert Nigeria to a muslim country.

there is a misinformation going round in ghana , that nigeria closed her borders against ghanians , IT IS ONLY THE ENLIGHTENED GHANAIAN THAT KNOW THAT THE BORDER CLOSURE IS TOTAL AND NOT ONLY SPECIFIC TO GHANAIAN . many that i have spoken to believe Ghana alone was singled out . i=you have to start explaining that it is actually against benin and that the effect just happened to spill over to ghana
