TheSuperNerd:
It was changed for me back in High school and my high school never regretted the decision. It simply paid off.

I fell sick during the screening process to select the best and on-form brilliant minds to represent the school in a big academic competition. Rules said selection should be made based on performances in the screening tests.

I took part in the process and was doing very well until Illness struck and I had to withdraw. In time, I recovered and the final selections were about to be announced. I didn't know what was going to happen but they selected the top 2 and dropped the number 3. They said they cannot afford to go without their best brains and judging from the records throught out school and my earlier promising showings in the early weeks of the screenings, I had distinguished myself as a reliable student and had the edge in many areas and subjects which they cannot afford to do without.

In the end, I was picked and our school went on to triumph with me scoring the most vital points on questions many thought we would not know. I recall the people that were dropped for me telling me afterwards... "Mehn... We had no idea what the answers to those questions were. How you knew it, we don't know but we are glad we had you on stage."

I guess if rules were strictly followed, my school would have simply lost out.
Sometimes... The Rules can be a stumbling block to truly making the right decisions. In the end, Rules are rules... But they are only there as guide in most cases and because humans love lawlessness naturally. But sometimes, rules can prevent us from doing what is actually right and the best.

So in this case... It is the most right thing and the best thing to include Icon4s in the committee. He is the major and master proponent of the NL awards for players.. and it is through him that the outside world got to know that even such awards exist.

All names were up for nomination in this one for
almost 3 weeks and everyone had equal opportunity so there is no correlation here.

On 17 years boy wonder, Akinkunmi Amoo....

I tabled a few questions for Akinkunmi Amoo through ANS and the lad responded thus....

My questions: Who does Akinkunmi Amoo model his game after? Like who is the one player he watches most and draws his football inspiration from.

Also, what is his favorite playing position? He can play through the middle as AM and on the right as a RW... What is his best position?

Amoo: 'My best position is attacking midfield but at U17 the coach suggested that I should start from the wing. I was deployed as the playmaker no matter the position'

'I model my game after Messi. Some people say I play like Messi, some people say my stature is like Shaqiri. I play my game according to myself, according to where I am told to play.

'I don't like watching players, if I watch players I may try and copy them on the pitch and I believe I'll make mistakes trying to do what they are doing. For me, Messi is the best'

GOAL

74' Adamawa Utd 1-1 Rangers #ADARAN #NPFL20

Superb finish by substitute Sadiq Lawan. He lifts the ball over GK Mutawakilu to level the score.

Another week comes and Umar Sadiq involved in yet another goal... He provided the assist for Partizan Belgrade's current 1-0 lead vs FK Indija.

Okay... They have made it 2-0. No Sadiq involvement this time.

He is now on 7 goals and 4 assists in 13 apps in the league.

Now it is 3-0... They won a penalty and converted.

This is the right thing to do. So deal with it. It is not somehow... cool

I'm talking logic here not emotions.

I have made my point and moved on. not like I've any stake here.

Just stating the obvious.

Let democracy be democracy.

Made my point as usual.

kapish.

and you think....it was the right thing to start discrediting the good work they're doing all because you wanna preach democracy rather than seek for an avenue to bring legitimacy to the work....

it wasn't helpful.... you know.
someone suggested it and the post got over 16 Likes and what will you call that

what is democracy to you...that one of the electorate asked for the inclusion of a pioneer member into the committee board and the post got overwhelming majority of over 16 Likes...is that not democracy...?

this is one committee that I see it's end result to be well represented and have been so fun and lively since it's introduction so let's enjoy it...and give it out utmost support...

Probably we can cast a simple vote like a referendum (Yes/No) whether Icons4 should be admitted into the committee board

This is my honest take on the ICON4S issue.

If the people really wanted him on the committee, he would have been voted in. He would have accumulated the required no of votes that qualifies one as a committee member.

Asking that he be a part of it because he pioneered it doesn't seem right. .

NB: this is my honest opinion on a matter and insults directed at me would be duly ignored. Thank you

Fewer goals = less entertainment= less fan followership = less sponsorship = less money to the clubs = poor organization/ unpaid salaries= crappy league.

If he declare and he's good enough to displace those in the team he'll play, we can't be using players we don't need just to cap-tie them that will be unfair

So it's more fair to give positions to those who haven't played a competitive football game.in thier club for 10 months.

What's fair and what's not fair

I am saying we don't have any clear standards in the NFF.

Proper ways of doing things appear alien to most Nigerians so expect them to cover things up with emotion and sentiment. Once you point out the obvious, they will try to blackmail you with some petty excuses.

Their case is like those who watch their friend die poor then come around to donate millions for his burial.!

Me don talk my own pass.
