The way Pep shook those referees' hands.... Hahahahahahahahaha....

He was mouthing, "Thank you so much" and shaking them so vigorously.

Very sarcastic I tell you. Pep is gonna blame the referees for this it seems. Lol

Sure na and why not Brother.

And the VAR went to sleep today.

But things would soon change though because Liverpool and Tottenham have benefitted imencely from the VAR this season already.

What was the rule back then?

Was it stated that only 7 members as represented by their various monikers in accordance to the total vote garnered shall constitue the committee membership?

If Yes, Then I'm sorry for making my View known.

However, If No, Then your submission above is a nullity and thus holds no ground to subject me to crucifixion okay.
Yes that was the rule.

Yes that was the rule.

If that is the case, Then my innocence still remains unperturbed because

1. The 16+ likes for icon4s's inclusion wasn't by myself alone.

2. You wouldn't expect a first timer to the thread like myself to click and start reading from scratch on a submission that has gotten up to over 7500 posts

Above all, let by gone be by gone please ok

Leave the U17 for enabling players in the Grassroots develop. The U20 and U23 is there for foreign born. We Could have a super eagles team B that will be playing friendly games where the foreign borns could play and have a home based team also.

But the U17 should remain for thorough scouting of special home based talents and develop them.

Let us not finally destroy the u17 system that brought the country so much joy. We ruled the World in that aspect. Let us not kill it but improve on the scouting in a more comprehensive manner.

Some people love mediocre.........

That is sign that the League (NPFL) is improving for the referee to have allowed that to happen without giving any frivolous penalty for possible equalizer for the fear of lynching from the home Fans.

Well, I am not getting carried away. From my personal observation ( I might be wrong), the NPFL usually have some away wins at the beginning of the season but then getting to the latter part of the campaign ( when teams gets desperate), those away wins gradually dries up.
I hope this season is different though.

Same here, I saw icon4 as jega, so was not expecting him to be part of the nominations. When I saw his name on the list with 4 votes I was surprised

You are quite on track actually because I can't agree with you less.

But things could be different again by the time the NPFL returns to live telecast for some matches and others on delayed broadcast on Multi choice like before

or When it returns to LiveScore.com listing

Heartland coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu wants VAR in NPFL.

I personally think there are more pressing issues to address in the league.

Have not checked but if I'm right Joel was at Sunderland didn't cut it therr and then went to Swansea and still didn't cut it.

Now resurrecting his career in the Eredivisie.

Hopefully he can improve and make his way upwards.

I want to believe that playing regularly gives room for improvement right?

How I wish we could See them in the shape of a RAHEEM STERLING, KELVIN DE BRYNE etc

It was changed for me back in High school and my high school never regretted the decision. It simply paid off.

I fell sick during the screening process to select the best and on-form brilliant minds to represent the school in a big academic competition. Rules said selection should be made based on performances in the screening tests.

I took part in the process and was doing very well until Illness struck and I had to withdraw. In time, I recovered and the final selections were about to be announced. I didn't know what was going to happen but they selected the top 2 and dropped the number 3. They said they cannot afford to go without their best brains and judging from the records throught out school and my earlier promising showings in the early weeks of the screenings, I had distinguished myself as a reliable student and had the edge in many areas and subjects which they cannot afford to do without.

In the end, I was picked and our school went on to triumph with me scoring the most vital points on questions many thought we would not know. I recall the people that were dropped for me telling me afterwards... "Mehn... We had no idea what the answers to those questions were. How you knew it, we don't know but we are glad we had you on stage."

I guess if rules were strictly followed, my school would have simply lost out.
Sometimes... The Rules can be a stumbling block to truly making the right decisions. In the end, Rules are rules... But they are only there as guide in most cases and because humans love lawlessness naturally. But sometimes, rules can prevent us from doing what is actually right and the best.

So in this case... It is the most right thing and the best thing to include Icon4s in the committee. He is the major and master proponent of the NL awards for players.. and it is through him that the outside world got to know that even such awards exist.

This was an election.

Doing the right thing is not law breaking. I believe Nigerians and sanctimonious attitude claiming na Dem Sabi keep law pass is what stinks the most.

This is the right thing to do. So deal with it. It is not somehow... cool

What is the the right thing if not following the laid down rules? Abi breaking the law na doing the right thing?

and you think....it was the right thing to start discrediting the good work they're doing all because you wanna preach democracy rather than seek for an avenue to bring legitimacy to the work....

it wasn't helpful.... you know.
someone suggested it and the post got over 16 Likes and what will you call that

what is democracy to you...that one of the electorate asked for the inclusion of a pioneer member into the committee board and the post got overwhelming majority of over 16 Likes...is that not democracy...?

this is one committee that I see it's end result to be well represented and have been so fun and lively since it's introduction so let's enjoy it...and give it out utmost support...

Probably we can cast a simple vote like a referendum (Yes/No) whether Icons4 should be admitted into the committee board

Tomorrow, you will come and be shouting kwurruption.

Agreed in principle.

However, how does one justify the inclusion of Nwakali in the U23 is that not undue favoritism and far from objective.
OK go and remove him and put your Ikpeazu or anybody else. We've explained to you but you refuse to understand, no club will release an active player for this tournament we can only get bench warmers but you dey here dey cry. Continue

This is my honest take on the ICON4S issue.

If the people really wanted him on the committee, he would have been voted in. He would have accumulated the required no of votes that qualifies one as a committee member.

Asking that he be a part of it because he pioneered it doesn't seem right. .

NB: this is my honest opinion on a matter and insults directed at me would be duly ignored. Thank you
