Sounds like a parasitic infection; most likely Bilharzia (Schistosomiasis) contacted in pond/river water infested with Schistosoma hematobium (worm/fluke) carried by some species of snails.

Praziquantel (Biltricide) is an effective drug for most acute cases - I do not know why your treatment seemed to have failed; perhaps due to inappropriate dosage or quality of the particular drug used.

In any case you should go back for a more detailed review of your case - good luck.

My younger brother complained of urinating n having slight pain n blood or reddish coloration after urinating. When he called me for advise I panicked cos I suspected prostrate,kidney, UTI n gonorhea. But he went to a specialist private hospital n was given a drug. I called in 3 days n he said it has stopped. Beside he was taken to MFM for serious prayers while he sought medical help. He is fine now. @op so sorry at what you are going through but be optimistic n put your mind at rest while also attack it spiritually too cos this world is deep. I will advise you go to a specialist or teaching hospital for proper diagnosis n treatment ok....I will pray for you from now on n I be live you will cross this hurdle n will be well again in Jesus Name Amen.

When I was serving I notice same thing also the water I use to bathe with was infected with some bacteria I served in a village in the East so I was a Doctor then called my law who is a medical doctor he send me some prescriptions which I bought 3 drugs I stop urinating blood. Avoid infected water and take the drugs it would stop.

Specifically go to the hospital and tell them that you want to do test for STI or STD and also test for Kidney infection. After the results, you will then know if you should fight it spiritual or not.

As you go about looking for treatment, dont forget to pray also,UTI,STI,kidney,and others are all ruled out then,continue visiting specialists but then PRAY.did they take the samples of the worm huh

I don't know if doctors still prescribe Ambliha for schistisomiasis which is likely to be the problem. So many years ago the drug cured me of the same problem. Mention this to your doctor or ask a pharmacist.

Sir,my son had this infection around may. I didn't go to the hospital ,may be because I have medical background......I had the urine cultured after three days the antibiotics that will treat the infection was discovered. He was on injection for days as well as drugs.

Both of u are right....that bldder worm(schistomisis heamotobuim).treated mine with praziquantel.

I think his own (SH) has built defence against drugs that he is using....Azithromycin 500mg will do the magic or ciprotab 500mg but the first works better.......

Stop doing it raw, use condom una no go hear. Only God knows how many people you have infected. Go and treat yourself completely. Your statement that he should always ensure that his wife or girlfriends use same drugs sucks. Why must you infect them when you know that you are not clean. Your own case is advanced stage of STD. Run lab tests and use appropriate medications instead of self medication

The thing is I had the same feeling some years ago. My Own is discharge was very thick mucous and boxers always mess up before morning or in the evening. I tried different drugs and use herbs but it was still the same until I use ciprotab with 500mg. I started with 2 caplets and reduced the second dose to 1. Also ensure your wife or girlfriend takes 250mg as well. The way I felt when I took it: when I wanted to pee, my unirary tract felt like I applied red and yellow capsule on wound and feel like this for 2 days before the pain was subdued and went away. Till date I have not experienced such.
