Story. It does not work that way. There is a lot of bias and preference that goes with the English game.

Is Maguire a better defender than Soyuncu? I doubt but see how Soyuncu was a dishwasher and towel washer last season. Is John Evans better than him? But he did not have a sniff.

What about how Albrighton kept on getting a steady run while Ahmed Musa was playing junior football at Leicester City.

Victor Moses was posting repeated man of the match performances under Conte then with the snap of the fingers he was gone. You think that happens with cutting it?

Is Tominay a better footballer than Fred? But, he will get the nod over Fred any day. What is even helping the English league is the rise of foreign coaches, if not it would have been worse.
Disagree with you in regards to Vic Moses and Soyuncu.
Sarri wasn't going to play a 3-5-2 and let's be honest, would you pick Vic Moses out wide over Hazard, Willian and Pedro?
In regards to Soyuncu, he was rightly eased in as a young CB fresh from Bundesliga. That's why Leicester sold Maguire with no worries.
Even Fred.. Wasn't it Mou that picked up Mctominay from the reserves? Why would he bench a guy he asked for and club spent 52m on if he was performing well??

They are painting him bad bros

Who is the 2 left back in the starting 11?
I want to believe that the provoker was making reference to an earlier Post about my summary of the NIGERIA vs LESOTHO game where I posited my opinion about the players performance as well as making reference to other Players too in relation to those that can be entrusted with the Starting Eleven and bench warmers too

So, In clearing the air over who should start as the preferred Left full back was when I said 2 left full backs cannot start in a first Eleven to mean that both of OLA AINA & JAMILU COLLINS cannot appear together at the same time for one must be on the bench and unfortunately, my preference would be to start OLA AINA ahead of JAMILU COLLINS.

And Even if there are people painting him bad, I want to believe it's because of the high standard that had been set by the likes of CELESTINE BABAYARO, TAIYE TAIWO & IFEANYI UDEZE as predecessors too. So, they might not be blamed for asking him to improve himself and his game.

I don't think anyone would say that. How many people complained when Yak and Cele were sent home from AFCON for sneaking girls into their hotel rooms?
Good you remembered this experience of theirs as disciplinary action of that magnitude was taken against them back then.

Former Nigeria U17 international Sani Emmanuel has explained that he had to retire from the game at a young age because of a chronic foot injury.

The My People FC product was awarded the Golden Ball as the Most Valuable Player of the 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria, scoring five goals to help the Golden Eaglets reach the final of the competition, where they lost to a Switzerland team parading AC Milan's Rodríguez, Arsenal's Xhaka and Benfica's Seferovic.

After the World Cup, Emmanuel had successful trials at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur but saw a dream move to the Premier League fall through because of work permit issues.

Asked why he gave up football when Chelsea and Lazio wanted to sign him, Emmanuel told Leero Sports News : ''I had problems on my foot, even during the tournament in 2009.

''If you remember, I often came on in the second half because the pain was unbearable.

''After the World Cup, I could not play at all because I had played too much with pain. Then I had to stop my career, even today, I always feel hurt on the front of the foot.''

Emmanuel went on to say that he reached out to several Nigeria internationals for assistance but didn't get a positive response.

''I tried to contact a lot of Nigerian international players, but I never got an answer and it was very difficult to get money.

''I returned to anonymity, without work, without anything. I wanted to set up an academy, but I never managed to get help and I'm still looking for it.''

Emmanuel was taken to Chelsea by Nigerian agent John Shittu, who brokered the deal that took former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel to Stamford Bridge in 2006.
Eeya, I feel bad for him

As krattose said, its dead on arrival

Of course not and that is why I said both of them would continue to sit on the bench hi however, Sometimes, G.ROHR prefers deploying a Left footed player on the LFB position which is why JAMILU sometimes do start ahead of OLA AINA

External factors affected the U20 team of Nigeria in 2017. Most especially unpaid allowances to the player's for too long. Remember there was a strike before the leg the team was knocked off. Also the team played on a very poor pitch.

What you call tactical naivety is a big part of the possession game. It is something you keep working and correcting. Slips happen but with time it gels. The challenge is impatience.

At the end Amunike has the tactical Blueprint to have the team playing a good brand of football and nurturing him is the best way to go when it comes to having us playing with bravery and quality in the near future.
Loosing to Sudan on home soil is inexcusable, all Nigerian teams have been owed at one point or the other

I do not want Amunike working with Rohr at the moment but drafted alongside Finidi to build a new set of footballing weapons for the Super Eagles. Osimhen, Chukwueze, Orji Okonkwo, K. Nwakali in one set is astonishing. With us not getting it right in two occasions, we need to refuel the pool.

I want Finidi there because I now remember that Amunike worked with Van Gaal at Barcelona and Finidi worked with Van Gaal at Ajax.

Some way, with both playing in Spain, we might have a tactical pair that share similar (but not the same) ideas of the game. After the first year, Amunike can progress to the U20 while Finidi solely handles the U17.

A long term plan to raise bright talents while playing beautiful brands of football.

Amuneke already said in 2016/2017 that he can’t be youth/age grade coach again. In his words, he has passed that level and he is right

My brother... It is indeed funny to see. I guess they are overrated afterall. They still need to grow. They are not close to being on same level as our own youngsters like Okereke, Dennis, and Ejuke sef. I won't even call Osimhen and Chukwueze as they are super light-years above anything Zambia can boast of in their young talent pool.

Zambia will find it very difficult, if not almost impossible already, recovering from this. Algeria will likely top the group and Zimbabwe have a home game vs Zambia which if they win will make it game over for Zambia.

And Sakala didn't play. I know he was injured from action at the U-23 Afcon. But I can see that the other two indeed played as you said. Sad for Zambiann soccer. Another blow. You did say they could miss out on both the Olympics and the Afcon and viola! Here we are so far...

Icon4s:

All 3 played today's game. Infact Daka scored Zambia's only goal, an equalizer, after Billiat had earlier taken the lead for Zimbabwe. Infact Billiat scored the winner deep into the second half.

Their chances are now very slim with the lose to Zimbabwe in Lusaka.

Rohr unsure if he has handled his last game with Nigeria
16 hours ago Israel Iko
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is not sure if he has overseen his last game with Nigeria.

Rohr led the Super Eagles to victories in the opening matches of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin and Lesotho.

The next set of qualifiers for Nigeria is billed for August and September 2020 against Sierra Leone and Benin before rounding off the group qualifiers with Lesotho in November same year.

And with Rohr's contract expiring in June, the coach may have managed his last competitive game with Nigeria.

Rohr is not sure if he will still be in charge of the team after June, but hopes the Super Eagles continue winning and qualify for the 2021 AFCON.

“We have a good team, I enjoy working with this team, we have very good players and with two wins we are progressing,” he told the media after the Eagles 4-2 win over Lesotho in Maseru on Sunday.

“I hope this continues after the end of my contract but for my future, that is in the hands of the officials but I’m not here to talk about that.”

There are indications that Rohr's contract will be extended till the end of the 2021 AFCON.
