Yes it is a school guided by rules and regulations. Does the regulations state that public shaming is the punishment for not dressing as prescribed in the school dress code?

Secondly, she looks like a teen this is a critical period in her developmental phase, I believe the school should have had a private talk with the mom and daughter, and let them understand that such is not acceptable.

While in the principle office she should be made to take it off and serve her punishment quietly.

Publicly humiliating her does nothing but exposes the school to law suits.

1) The Queens College staff that held the girl's hands, held her face up for the camera and recorded the video should never work in any school again. The girl is a child and they are meant to protect the rights of the child, not to try and humiliate her in this way. - Unfortunately, this is Nigeria where we bring gun to a knife fight at-time to make strong statements. I must confess, I had near similar situation on my hands when I took my daughter to school for extension classes (JSS 3 ) during holidays. She still had the attachment-hairdo on; which she did for the holidays. School SIMPLY told us it was unacceptable and wont allow her in school. Myself and my niece had to become "hair-dresser" at a corner, removed the damn-thing. I got home and told wifey that we should NEVER be found that "wanting" again. SIMPLE

2) The child should also be punished for fixing fake eye lashes if they are against the rules. - I believe even as a child, she should be well acquainted with school rules and regulations; and should have duly informed the mother. Yes she deserves to be punished.... but judging by the mother's show of shame fighting security and teachers, I am persuaded to believe that this is all on the mother.

3) The mother should be punished for going back to fight the Queens College staff. There are better and legal ways to handle the situation, rather than assaulting the staff.The mother has turned this into a police case already. QC should go to all length to make her an example

That child probably went for an event during the weekend and couldn't remove the lashes before Monday morning.

They would have simply send her back home not trying to pull her back to the school which to me is assault and the video is very wrong.

She made a mistake, send her home or discipline her after the parent must have vacated the school premises not assaulting her in presence of her mother,no woman will take that .

Imagine that silly teacher saying goodbye to queens college,na your papa build the school. You wey dem go transfer soon go ikorodu or ijanikin.

In as much as the girls mother is wrong, i think the school and security reacted very wrongly. Two wrongs dont make a right.

Sometimes I just shake my head in silence and move on about my own business. Because it seems the whole world has lost sight of what the normal is, so much so that they can't even see it on their rearview mirrors. An underaged girl fixing lashes to school, and the mother doesn't see anything wrong with that, even fighting the security guards at the gate (mind you, the security guard is supposed to be the "uneducated" one).
Maybe they should also check her bag for cigarettes and condoms!
