Story Time!

Sometimes saying I understand is literally the wrongest thing to say to a bleeding heart. How do we even think that these words would ever bring closure?

Your silence can be a more effective help than your echo of meaningless chants. It's like someone back in #canada who has never been to Lagos telling me he/she understands my traffic dilemma in #lagos. No, you just can't throw those words to show sympathy.

Even the "pontius pilate" of Lagos State can't say such after going missing immediately after inauguration.

At that moment it felt like the only logical response to give to her. After such traumatic experience. If you drift off this story a bit I guess it's because you are trying to avoid facing your own traumatic experience, like that demonic porthole right there in the middle of the highway. My advice is you face that trauma. Don't just talk, take actions.

His hands that opened those legs were the hands that opened the very pages from which she drew inspiration from. His lips spoke words like she had never heard. But what defines a man isn't just what he says but what he does. She couldn't find the words to describe how she felt. The angel she thought she could run to was the very monster she should run from.

Let's take a pause here and reflect. Those closest to you are those prone to hurt you the most. The betrayal of a cheating partner, the evny of a backstabbing friend, the abuse from a typical
#nigerian parent - like did you grow up thinking if they were your biological parents after receiving the whopping of your life?

It plays out in different ways, here and there, we see children being molested by close relatives or those we entrusted their safety to. Police getting high on duty and harassing young folks just because they appear more successful or happier than the officer.

To proof no point, the trigger goes off, the person saddled with the responsibility of protecting lives takes one#endsars .

Now I'm thinking what @nairamarley next song would be... The way this mind drifts... Perhaps it's an escape mechanism. Was she abused, raped severally, had series of abortions, threatened, and silence? Well my next story will tell.
