Imo, Zamfara, Oyo, Ekiti: Rate Your Governors Since Power Changed Hands by Donald95(m): 11:05pm On Nov 25, 2019
I visited someone in Imo State today, and From my myopic point of view, I think since may 29 power changed hands, the newly elected governor seriously needs to step up as i noticed people are still groaning. It is heart breaking and shameful to Mbaise people and IMO at large that danced on the streets thinking that messiah has finally come.

On the part of Ekiti State Although he is a man that commands respect from Nigerians and other governors, i have not really seen any tangible update from Ekiti since power changed hands.

On Zamfara State, I have not heard or seen any tangible update too. Bandits are still operating on daily basis. Infact from my myopic point of view, one of the notable things the governor has achieved since power changed hands is taking pictures with bandits.

On Oyo State, i have been hearing and reading positive comments from the people since power changed hands.

All these are my own personal observations. So, the reason why i created this thread is for indigenes to inform nairalanders exactly what is going on in their states, especially states POWER CHANGED HANDS

ekesol:
https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/11/25/imo-to-spend-n40bn-on-road-rehabilitation-reconstruction/

He said that 25 road contracts had been procured, with the first 19 already finished, while 15 per cent of the mobilisation fee had been paid to the contractors in a procurement he said went through the state Ministry of Works and the Bureau for Public Procurement.
Which roads made up the 19 completed roads?

On the part of Salary payment, is their any improvement?

I never read any different news since power changed except ofcourse about the man in Oyo state.
After all the noise, Imo state seems to have been sold baboon in place of monkey.
Ekiti and Kwara seem to be in audio achievement mode while Zamfara governor only knows how to fight his predecessor but when I dressed up to watch the fight, I was disappointed to hear the fight was only on Twitter. undecided

I want to Know if the problem is The Party or The Elected or The system of government in particular.

How can an elected official that brought tears of Joy in the eyes of many wen he was elrcted turn out to abandon the people that voted him.

Exactly my thoughts. Lets keep Party aside, These guys may have nothing to offer at the end of their tenure.

Whether he is from Mbaise or not he should remain there.

We didn't vote him to perform wonders but to do the little he can.

If he decides not to do anything for 8 yrs....no problem.

let him be there.

Stop lying to yourself op. Which IMO state did you visit and it's people were groaning? Ihedioha is on the path if u compare IMO state of Rochas to the current IMO. IMO state is now paying Judges their salaries and pensioners are receiving their pensions that there were being owed for over 70 months. The IMO waste management agency has also boosted it's operations. As for the roads, it will obviously take time to fix the numerous China roads Rochas built.

I am from the state, mbaitoli precisely. if u say Emeka is not doing anything, it either ur not from the state or an enemy of good governance. i don't like speaking for politicians because I don't trust any of them to maintain consistency for a long time but for now, Ihedioha is doing well. he understands governance, rule of law & due process. apart from on-going construction/ rehabilitation of critical roads in d state, he is trying to revive dead state own companies. u may not be away of the ongoing partnership with CBN & bank of Agriculture to revive Adapalm or what is being done to resolve the legal dispute on owerri shoe industry. pension is being paid regularly same with salary. my only interest in d state is her development, I am not a politician but all am saying is for u to make proper investigation b4 u write about any government be it state or Federal. ordinarily 6mnths is not enough to pronounce judgement on any first term governor so what we expect them now is to show the direction of their leadership

well my opinion is different. the mandate we gave him was 4yrs. if he fail to impress the pple of the state within this period, we will vote him out as we did to ohakim. one thing is certain, imolites don't forgive politicians, they don't give then second chance and they know how to protect their votes, we did it to ohakim, we did it to Rochas when when want to impose his In-law on us and we will not hesitate to extend it to Ihedioha if he fails. but I believe he will not disappoint the pple. may God help imo state

We have not even started talking the numerous Court cases against the government due to land grabbing by the previous government and Ihedioha is doing everything to solve those issues.
