Thanks for your observations, First AC compressor is better as Manual for so many reasons, it does not go bad, it uses magnetic clutch, while the Auto uses internal sensor, that is the difference., you can easily detect a fault on Manual, but in auto, you will have to buy every other thing, waste your gas before you detect the fault. Go and find out from good Togolese Engineers, Automatic Compressor does not last, it easily wear out. This is what Gazuzz will not tell you.

I use to have highlander back then, the day I converted the AC to manual was the day I started enjoying my car. I used it two more years before I sold the jeep. The AC is chilling. Automatic AC is not the best for Corolla 2008 to 2010.

I understand thebigkendo and Aunty Rad's concerns and the true position is replacing a bad automatic compressor in a luxury vehicle with an OEM/Genuine one will cost an average of 170—200k, minus the aftermarket Condenser/dryer and possible expansion valve, freon and workmanship.

Not many Nigerians can afford to spend that much at a go for a convenience feature that can be properly Kazeemed, I fall within this category.

Been there twice, went for the manual compressor with a relay twice. Will I do it again?
