After they are rejected what happens to them, are they deported. I have a friend who got a US Visa and crossed over to Canada to seek asylum.

Yeah..they prepare them for deportation..but trust 9ja..no be if you see them to deport .i know a guy that cross US to Canada..e nor work the asylum stuff..the guy just quickly find white girl align with give am belle.. apparently they could get married and she will file a spousal sponsorship application..

I didn't enter through the bush I am not a criminal I entered through an official border crossing and was met by Canadian immigration officials, I was processed and denied stay

Oh really..thats weird and your papers were complete?

They likely believed that even though you applied for visitors' visa, you probably weren't planning on coming back...

I applied for a visitors' visa to Canada July 23rd this year.
Oct. 23rd, i received a mail from them that my accounts seemed fraudulent and they gave me 10 days to prove the accounts are mine with sufficient evidence. The accounts i used are my salary account and my personal savings account with like 400k in the savings and 500plus in my salary acct & savings acct.

So i replied wt a cover letter stating d accounts were mine and that most of d cashflow in my savings account were from the family estate account which has quute a huge sum and onlyi and my mom have access to, i printed out another set of bank statements with cover letters from the bank stating i was indeed d owners of d account with no bad record. I also got a cover letter from d Estate account stating i was a signatory and therefore had access to it with no bad record.

Yesterday, i got a mail from the stating i was refused d visa becos i withheld information from them and therefore inadmissable until after 5 years.

Dear gurus, can i appeal this? Cos i didn't withhold anybinfo except i didnt include d Estate acct d first time. I cant bear that refusal nor d 5 years.

You can appeal it. Look for the appropriate body to write to. Tell them you will take it up legally.

I have seen similar cases very often and it is because of one reason :

YOU FAILED TO DISCLOSE IN YOUR APPLICATION THAT YOU HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY REFUSED BY THE USA EMBASSY

Before saying no, please go check the form again. USA and Canada share information on all applicantion and most applicants believe they can get away with it by not telling this tiny truth

I'm 99 percent sure that if the op goes back to review his application form again, he will discover this... I reserve 1 percent doubt.

Canada visa officers are very detailed and careful. They don't make claims without evidence. I once attended a conference where the Canadian high commission happens to give a speach about visa application. He is a very funny and jovial man contrary to what we all expected to see, cos we wanted to see a sad, mean monster that take pleasure in destroying dreams.

The man was very friendly and he let us understood that being a consular, you need to major or minor in psychology and Nigeria being a very unique case, they needed to add staff that major in criminology. So he warned that they can detect crime even if it's due to ommision.

You lied about the amount in your savings account which are truly NOT ALL yours but actually your mum transfer some there for your account to swell ...that's deceit..lies !
Secondly, you should have printed your account as it is and then back it up with the estate account and the other account . ...probably with a letter from your mum that she would fund your trip ....

You should have use the family eastste account and your salvary account, than transfer the money from your eatate account into your saving account,
it might approve that you borrow the money to improve you fund.

You can appeal only if you can get a good lawyer from canada to stand for you, it happen to a friend but his own was his working place, he gotten a lawyer from canada through his uncle and he was given visa after a good battle from his lawyer, but he paid for it........... so if u can hire a lawyer from canada to fight for you. thanks

This is the common issues with visa denial. Three things involves: Your intent in Canada, how to finance your trip, and finally proofto show that you'll return back home.
You've shown your intent, but you failed to demonstrate how you generated so much funds in your account without a burden of proof. I keep telling Nigerians, it's not that hard to register a small business. Enterprise business registration is as low as 10,000. Get it done, open a business account since you know you generate legitimate funds from your real estate business. Have a company business card, Identification card, letter head paper, stamp or seal. Get a phone number, e-mail with not just ordinary yahoo or Hotmail account. It not that to get a small website for your business. You have a huge lump sum of money in your account without showing a proof and you were given the second chance to update your file and you wrote them just a letter....hahahahahahaha. These guys go by the BOOK. Honestly, you were not there to defend yourself and on the second notion, you also failed to demonstrate the authenticity of your account. Now, you've been tagged for Misrepresentation and ban for 5 years. Just forget about Canada and u.S for now and focus more to other countries. U.S, Australia, New Zealand, U.k and Canada do share immigration/security database. Anything you can't prove, don't submit it. Imagine you have your business registration, T.I.N, and other documents they asked for, bingo!! That could have been your luck.

If what you stated here was right and you were in that meeting, I expect you to take exception to his speech. That was too stereotypic. What he said was an insult to all of you present there. In a way, he has tagged u all as "criminals" and I could bet that, majority if not all the people there, would be shining their teeth and applauding him. You dont come open to "criminalise" a whole nation in the full glare of her citizen as a diplomat, even if you have your fact. Not every thing a white man says makes sense. You even call him "funny" and "jovia". Sad
