You made a valid point but I would like to ask if the US will extradite her own citizens to Nigeria for trial?
chriskosherbal:
"The US court had since then issued a warrant to arrest Onyema and authorised US marshals service to bring him into custody."

If you ask me EFCC should take a chill Pill for the now and allow US finish what they started, so that we can get to the root of this.. At least we can be sure of transparency, and no religion/tribal factor as well as political leaning playing or interfering with the process am not saying EFCC is guilty of the bolded.

God bless Nigeria.

Please, I hope his flight business is not shut down. The airline must continue to operate as investigations progresses

That's why I said Onyema doesn't have sense.

With the Ceo and CFO indicted and currently partial fugitives, how do they sign maintenance payment orders and parts purchase orders?

If he continues like this, its not looking good for the company.

If the crime is committed in Nigeria and Nigeria requests for it? Why not?

There is currently a Dutch citizen in kirikiri. If you see him, I swear, he looks like a beggar. The last time he came to Court, it was a terrible sight.

He was arrested here and is being tried here cos the offence was committed here.

If an American commits an offence and runs to the US, if the matter is being tried here, they would extradite him back here.

However, the problem is that the way Nigeria is, they would mess up the case like Ibori's case.

I have always said it in this forums that President Muhammadu Buhari is demarketing Nigeria judging from the pattern he fights corruption.

He fights corruption in such a manner that is very stupid as the entire economy get to a standstill.

Come to think of it, which business man in Nigeria that is 100 percent clean?

Is it Late MKO Abiola, Otedola, Dangote or Adenuga of glo network?

If he is not a big man he would have been moved a long time and there will be no cause for this drama. The help he rendered in the xenophobic attacks and the too much respect accorded to him in the country is his saving grace.

Cos it is Buhari that investigated and indicted him in the US. When the idiot was laundering money in the US, he didn't know the implications, abi?

If you must bleep up, bleep up where Buhari can cover your poo.

See, if Atiku is not careful, Buhari would still extradite him too to that same US.

Money laundering no be small crime for yankee! It’s a federal crime! Lots of people are in prison just cuz of $10,000 , $20,000 money laundering issues! The man is gone for good if guilty. The money is much, they’ll surely wanna know the source! This case might be more than what we thinking it to be, if they really wanna dig deep to know the origin of the laundered money! Mostly, laundered money are usually from crime related deals, drugs, stolen funds, etc....! If the origin of the said money was clean, I’m damn sure he wouldn’t have laundered them!

The EFCC are agents of the FBI in Nigeria. I won't be surprised if FBI agents join them on raids of high level matters. Remember Club 57? It was reported that FBI agents personally went with the EFCC on that raid.

So, what I think the EFCC is doing is that they are doing the groundwork here, confiscating documents, preventing destruction of evidence, etc.

That's why I insist that Onyema should have temporarily stepped aside from Air Peace cos of corporate personality.

I am not specific of the Allen Onyeama case.

I am speaking generally about business entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

Even most of them give bribe to get government official approve their license.

America ethical standard should not be used to judge a Nigeria or African standard.

As a business man in Nigeria there are many hurdles you cross to get things working successfully compared to the western democracy.

The same Allen Onyeama will go to China and do business without the Chinese asking him how he got his money.

President Muhammadu Buhari should apply wisdom in handling this case to protect Peace Airline and it strategic interest to the country economy.

The same American that is coughing and making Nigeria catch cold will not try this nonsense with Russia, China, Iran

If someone wants to run mad, let the person run mad where his family members can cover the person with cloth. If the person decides to run mad in the market square, other people would drag the mad man's posterior.

You comparing Nigeria to China is utmost political, economic and military naivete.

See, there are things you can do abroad and get away with. Fraud and money laundering are not what you'll do and getaway with. Governments don't joke with control of funds. If you can't control funds, they see it as loss of control over government.

Talking of China you mentioned, if Onyema dare tried this in China, they would have beheaded him.

You are so funny!!!!!!! US don't extradite their citizen to any country, let alone a third world country. Turkey and US are NATO member yet US could not extradite a Turkish citizen taking refuge in US to Turkey.

Do you know how many BEC email scammers EFCC has shipped to the US recently?
They would willingly ship Onyema to the US like cocoa and use it to get promoted here in Naija.

Just so you know, the USAID is a donor agency to the EFCC and the FBI trains and works closely with them.

Onyema needs divine intervention to escape this.
"Divine intervention to escape". Was it not through divine that he was exposed in the first place?

Am not siding with Mr. Onyema on this issue, but justice should always be blind to tribe or religion. A certain Senator from the Southwest was issued with an extradition request but none will f that came to pass. The same should be applied on Onyema’s situation. This is a clear issue of witch-hunt now

You my friend, are like Jon Snow. You know nothing.

Today makes it exactly one month that Adedeji Adeniran was extradited from Nigeria to the US for indictment for fraud.

Another one Ayodeji Fatunmbi, extradited from Nigeria to US for fraud and jailed.

"If the Nigerian government is required to cooperate in any way, including extradition, if it meets the requirement of our laws, they will be assisted to prosecute them and face justice," he said. - Buhari August 2019.

What EFCC is doing is similar to what we call "holding charge" AKA clearing and forwarding. Go and ask lawyers to explain it to you.

They would strip him naked, collect everything from his hand, waste his energy in Nigerian courts and now ship him to the US make hand touch am wella.
