You are comparing Dessers to De Bruyne and Hazard

What a joke,

Bastuayi has 1 league goal this season, Origi has three, so much for established players

Dressers is good but not as good as those players. He has potential but nowhere near. Let's hype our players but not to the extent of downplaying better players

At the the triple marked paragraph, when he was "standing out" at Rotherdam, u said he looked good bkus of the long balls(kick and rush), but today he has gone to a ball playing side to "stand out" yet again, proving ur earlier deductions wrong, hence u suddenly changed it using a different line in "WBA arguably have some of the best quality players in the Championship. Many with EPL experience", to make it look like he is doing good bkus of the quality players around him.

To me, at Westbrom, dude has proven that his Rotherdam exploits were no fluke. Give him the props.

Komekn isn't being objective. The same Semi Ajayi won man of the match with WBA. He knows thus yet skips this valid fact

My point is that If you are a good player.. you will command a good endorsement irrespective of your nationality

Auba, Salah, Mane and the likes command good money from sponsors

Stop making it look like If a player plays for an African country rather than an European, He won't have any endorsement...

only God knows How much Iwobi gets from Pepsi, Nike and the likes

I bet he wouldn't get that if he had opted for England... Cos he wouldn't even get upto 10 caps sef

Many years ago l had some dealings with telecoms company GLO. At this stage they were sponsoring some Nigerian players in the EPL.

What they were paying was peanuts Comparatively.

Marketing is about market identity in Europe people like Pogba have a European recognition and identity. That identiity can be called brand that brand has market impact and creates value in.the market.

When kids in England and Europe see Rashford, Dele, Pogba, Ronaldo, Messi wearing particular boots.

Those kids want those boots and that demand is expressed in sales. So for instance in England Nike may sell 5 million pairs of football boots a year or more boots that can cost anything from £30 - £200 +. I say this because sales of football sports wear by Adidas exceed £3 billion a year and that's Adidas alone.

There is an influence by psychological coercion through advertising and identification. That increases those sales. For that reason sports companies will pay players millions of ££€€ a year in endorsements. Because increased sales can be directly linked to player identity and endorsements.

Now if Nike endorse an Iwobi Chukwueze and Osimhen with millions of €€££ how many people on Nigeria will buy Nike football boots. ❓

Thats why they dont pay players with an African identity huge amounts. Because we simply don't have the market demand in Africa.

However, there are players who both identities that's African and European. Like Drogba and even Zaha. But the European identity gives them more value for lucrative endorsements.

Finally, New Balance endorse Mane but it's not huge.

I'm not taking anything from his club performance.. He has done really well for himself in the past few years, there's no doubt about that.. But the national team has played a role in his career progression too..

If the national team doesn't help a player's progress, then why do agents and top football officials try to bribe coaches to invite their players to the national team?

For players based in Nigeria and home grown without national team selection. It's very hard if not impossible to get a working permit to the top European football leagues.

For youth player it's the platform to get into Europe.

For players based in Europe they don't need the SE particularly if they are already doing good things in thier league and clubs.

Aina was the best RB arguably in the Championship in his first season of professional football. Fikayo, Tega, Oviemuno, Maja, Aribo, Iorfa, etc progressed without the SE.

However, it was different for Iwobi, Ekong because the SE got them much needed recognition.

We hardly play 4-4-2. And in a 3-5-2, Dessers may or may not pair Osimhen. An Osimhen-Musa looks likelier coz the Big striker/Small striker combo is best for 3-5-2 or you could go with two technically gifted forwards in a 3-5-2 as we saw with Iwobi and Iheanacho two years ago.

To me, at Westbrom, dude has proven that his Rotherdam exploits were no fluke. Give him the props.

You make no point.

When Fikayo Tomori played a very limited game at Brighton and Hove and Hull. I said categorically that he was not good enough. Why because in that set up he couldn't play good quality technical football.

He goes to Derby with Lampard and he excels beyond all expectation. He is now a first team player for Chelsea and an England international. That's supersonic PROGRESS nobody could have predicted that.

I changed nothing. In Rotherham he played kick rush in kick and follow team. I wasn't impressed there was nothing to be impressed about. He had no previous pedigree. He was the outstanding player in that kick and rush team.

Prior to Rotherham he had been a journey man in the lower league that typically play long ball and kick and rush. He was not outstanding.

It seems looking at it now that playing for Nigeria gave his career a boost and brought much needed recognition to him. Not surprisingly he is in West Bromwich. They must have looked at him playing for Nigeria not just hoofing heading the ball in Rotherham.

We don’t have the players to play a 4-4-2

Iwobi, Chukwueze, Kalu are not built for a 4-4-2

In principle you are correct.

But in context you are wrong.

Scoring goals in La Liga and the EPL is not the same thing as scoring in the Eredivisie. Form or no form.

Origi scored two exceptional quality goals for Liverpool yesterday against Everton. He is not off form.

Not being objective how.

Pay attention to the specifics and detail.

Two different topics here.

First, topical question ❓ Was my view on Seyi Ajayi at Rotherham at the time. See my response.

Second, question ❓ Who is the best Central Defender in the Championship.

I have given my view.

However, someone said it's Semi Ajayi but present nothing to underpin his views in that case it's his opinion.

Scoring goals is scoring goals.

This is how Ighalo was being degraded by fans because he was playing in China and scoring there, only for him to have his best form for Nigeria in the Chinese league.

Based on league status, you will claim that Haaland scoring goals in Austria makes him inferior to Origi and Batshuayi too, abi?

Very weak rational.

First of all before Ighalo went to China he had been outstanding in the EPL.

EFFECTIVELY you are saying that scoring 10 goals in the Eredivisie is the same as scoring 10 goals in the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Seria A.

Your proposition is that irrespective of the league you play all goals are the same.

I have nothing to say about your approach beyond, I am lost for words.

Your proposition about Origi and Batshuayi (especially Batshauyi, I can even take Origi, but certainly not Batshuayi) being better than Dessers is based on your emotive bias and prejudice.

My proposition is that a player that is good, is good, irrespective of the league he plies his trade. And since the Eredivise is not as low as you would want us to believe, in comparison to the English league (it is still within the Top 10), you can't then say, that a player scoring 11 goals in the league is nothing compared to your 1-3 goals players in EPL. Except Origi and Batshuayi have 10 goals in EPL, then it is you that is equating 10 goals in Eredivise to EPL.

I did not compare Dessers to a 10-goal striker in any of the top leagues, did I? So, from where did you jump to this conclusion?
