At 14-15, i always wanted to be a software engineer but i learned my first programming language immediately i left secondary school (18). I struggled with java at first. I learnt core java for like six months but i wasn't satisfied with the results (solving algorithmic problem). I had to meet experts both in person and online. Their response actually compelled me to start my programming carrier with C language. I am proud now to say that i am a C programmer. We all know that C language is not fun but i love it because am not a fan of web dev. I am a loyal disciple of Software Dev. After learnig C Language i will now move to java, c++ and python + their technologies/frameworks.

Note: Programming is not all about developing sites n software though it is good to learn the technologies but make sure you learn your data structures and algorithms very well. If you cannot solve algorithms with the languages you have learnt. YOU ARE NOT A PROGRAMMER!.

I am not there yet it will take me 5 more yrs to perfect my skills cuz i still have alot of technologies to learn. well i am in the department of electronics and computer engineering UNIZIK 100lv. Nobody taught me how to code i learnt it myself. i. I don't see myself as a professional, am still a NOVICE.

its an abstract data type. i created it using arrays.
What you are seeing there is not actually a vector but an array defined work as a vector.

Learn c# or Java or any other c language and die there...once you can scale those..you can scale anything.

I started off with java at 15. My first love was Andriod dev. But my 1gb ram lappy couldn't run Andriod Studio. I had no direction then, I jumped from php to c++ to Javafx framework. Nothing to show for it apart from command line based apps.
I ported to python.
Am 18 now. And I use django framework.
Stack is HTML, CSS, Js, python.

I learnt nearly half of that with my Mobile phone and I built my first django powered app with my mobile phone. See screenshot below.
Some guys won't just do their due diligence. You mobile phone is a s powerful as your PC.
Why do you think it is called a mini computer?
I know of a guy who built a chat bot with his Andriod. I mean an A.I chat bot just like JARVIS but a mini version of it.
PS am not saying having a system is not important. Of course there are some limitations of a mobile phone. The only problem I have is with people who have Mobile phone but keep giving excuses of not starting to learn programming due to not having a system.

I've been interested in learning programming for a while now, i have a fully functional HP core i3, 8 gb ram laptop just lying around, am just using it to play videogames and am hating my self for it(I'm good at AUTOCAD and Photoshop) but it gets boring sometimes. Programming for ill say its consistency.
U can do it just be focused and keep on keeping on i learnt python and machine learning this year and my life never remained the same.

After learning the programming language,develop as many projects as possible and create documentation e.g power points just for the recruiter to have an idea of ur project.
Create a xing profile and make sure u make references to all projects u have created while applying for jobs via links etc.
So if Germany is ur target which of course is good because they need IT skilled workers.
Apply apply apply ,ignore setbacks and dont stop

Well guys i need some advice i picked intreset in.programing at the age of 12 to 13 because then we had a laptop at home we mostly used to play games listen to music and watch movies but at times when when we get boored i begin to explore the computer and other things like hacking begin to storm my mind i did some research about it on the internet and i began to get exposed to the idea of creating apps,softwares and more, then i found a 100lvl csc textbook of my sister in her wardrobe i took it and started doing some diggings about computer from the history to more unitil i reached the hello world stuff so i began to follow the book instructions and open the cmd with the aim of programming the hello world then i started getting used to it from time to time even without much progress i still loved it i dint have passion for anything other than computer with time i was already a guru compered to my age mates some even come to me to fix their laptop's if it had some software issues.But know times has changed the laptop has spoilet i lost my father who used to be the one that encourages me on computer stuff i think he believes in me that why, and been the first male in my home(our first born is a girl) i have to become responsible and start thinking of ways to make money so i wont disappoint, i started learning men tailoring for about six months now but it isnt really my dream because i love computer but gladly with thanks to ALLAH i have gotten admission into the uni to study computer science and and i was thinking of going back to my programming dreams but not just for fun or because i just like it. but to make a career out of it so i can be doing what i love at the same making money out of it.
SO MY FELLOW NLS DO U THINK I SHOULD DUMB THAT TAILORING WORK AND FOCUS ON MY PROGRAMMING DREAM? BECAUSE I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL PAY IN THE NIGERIA OF TODAY.
