You re right, the truth is that they re trying to cut on the number of students been given visa per year. At the moment Germany economy no stable if u get anyone working here he or she will confirm it. Especially the automobile sector.

Trump and Brexit no even help matter

What I am saying is which cat B student have they given AD to since October?

What u should say is that Nigerias slot regarding AD is filled up for 2019 that's more understanding

Someone waited 9 months plus to get AD for work visa. Anything is possible now.

You are absolutely right.
The waiting period is really frustrating. If people on work visa with genuine increase to the German economy can wait for 1 year for visa appointment. Then for Msc or Bsc is nothing for them.

My spouse have been on waiting period for family reunion since June.2019. The possible period for her appointment is June 2020.

It's really frustrating honestly.

I have a friend from Iran as well and Egypt. They both have to wait for 2yrs for an appointment in their own country.

It's well.

Wow. It was the same when I booked in May this year for winter semester although I did not cancel my appointment like some did. Some got dates after cancelling & rebooking, while others did not even though they did the same thing.
Maybe until next year for Cat B. Lol... I hope this year people will get Cat B appointment dates tho, however, better to have a back up plan

Arguably, allowing International Students would have a positive outcome on their economy too

True, but seems they re selective now

First they introduced category which I find unfair and now long waiting time for AD.

Check their embassy in Kenya block account is still 8k euro till jan2020 and u even select ur AD
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 9:59am On Dec 12, 2019
I understand you clearly and you are right. We've have seen many people come here to tell us they saw only or two VO at the embassy,I believe very soon everything will be sorted out. I realized that even Category A are also having delays on getting AD unlike before when they get their AD in 72hours,I don't think the Consulate would want to issue out much AD only for students to get to the embassy and there are limited VO to attend to them and end up making the embassy crowded. We should also know that this block Account fund of a thing makes a lot of impact on the German economy.

Good, but if you are smart you will realise, student visa applicant are going to infuse money into the system unlike the other visa applicant you mentioned. There is no country in the world that reject influx of money into thier system.

Does free tuition stops you from blocking 10,000 plus euro? Try and understand what the person is saying.

Inject money for free tuition schools grin grin

He is not making any point.

Cos ppl applying for work and reunion visas who are assets to the German economy wait for months before dey get appointments. These same work and reunions will also block 10000 euros plus too.

I also check the site I didn't see it. But come to think of it,how will a student wait for 12 Months, is it that the sch resumption will be like in a year plus time

Exactly my thoughts,it's a win win situation

quote author=evergreen9 post=84841917]

You have a point, the tuition is free, so on paper, there is no way the German economy would benefit from the influx of students coming in to "take advantage" of their educational system, however when we look at this from an analytical standpoint, then we get a clearer picture which helps debunk the myth that the foreign students are basically "freeloaders and parasites" as the right wing euro-centric nationalists would have you believe, for example the influx of foreign students would improve the buying power as the foreign students would have to buy basic amenities like food, clothing etc, students would also have to secure accommodation so this helps the German housing / real estate sector, students would pay taxes, water usage bills, electricity usage bills and so on and this also goes back into the German economy, then there's the possibility of the Germans coming across an exceptional student either in academics or athletics so the Germans could offer the student some sort of scholarship or resident permit / citizenship provided the student agrees to represent Germany in the Olympics or in the tech industry (brain drain), Also foreign students aren't refugees so they aren't entitled to welfare, so the Germans wouldn't have to worry about having another case of Syrians and Libyans exploiting their system (the blocked account and SL initiative acts as some kind of safe bet for the German authorities)

It is a tricky topic but when all has been said and done, it is safe to say the Germans would actually be gaining more than they are losing. Its one of the tricks the Germans have up their sleeves, they make it seem like they are doing you a favour but in reality it is actually the other way around......or at most a win win situation![/quote]

The only thing Germans are really earning with your influx as international students is the fact that they have a certain commission dey get from one EU fund.
Which trickles into billions of euros yearly

Is it that easy to get a resident permit there?

Ahmed4002:

The only option as some one suggested in the work family reunion visa thread was.

Go to a nearby country like Benin republic, Ghana. If you are desperate and don't want to wait.

Then get a residence permit in that country.

Then apply for the visa in German consulate of that country.. And booom you get an appointment.
