It's not a scam,
if you enroll for it in a registered and approved center.

My center was never scammerous in any way.
I wrote the exams in Gregory University Uturu and I have my result here.
I would have got the GUU medicine admission, but the fees for medicine in the school is far too astronomical for me.
I had thought Unical will admit from other centres, since it is a centre on its own. They only give preference to their home JUPEB students and asked us to pay about #170k.
dtyla:

Well, i am presently a student of JUPEB at Uniben, someone told my Dad the programme was a scam, that the best option was to prepare well for JAMB, well now i have proof that the 15 points is attainable.

It means he is done with 100L(Faculty of Science) and moving on to his Pre-clinical(Basic Medical Sciences) years at the UNEC.

N124,400 for indigenes; N184,400 for non-indigenes. That's for medicine, law, anatomy, physiology and faculty of health science students. Other faculties pay less than that.
That's still okay. Unlike in EKSU here where medical students pay #375000...Thanks for ur time

well, its based on cbt , 20 English questions while four each for maths chem, phy, and current affairs

for 2019 the cutoff went down from 296 to 293
That makes 36 questions in total...what about biology?

That of EKSU is too much ooo. I'm even complaining that EBSU's school fee is very expensive; I don't even know that it's still cheaper than some state universities.

We don’t use cross over list here, but I think it will begin from my set , those who will cross over are those who didn’t fail any course in year one apart from GS courses

Hmm; its own is too much. EBSU's quota is 100. I heard it has been increased to 120, but I'm not sure. It came third in the national medical quiz competition of this year.

My brother you are not far from the truth, so many misconception from our southern brothers... I am a southerner but I live in Zaria, Kaduna State... I know what I am saying... ABU and BUK are extremely difficult for southerners, except you are a very high-flyer.
They admit just one per state, that is usually the highest person.
MBBS admission is competitive everywhere, the competition reduces in your catchment area, followed by state universities.
If to say money dey private University na him person for go. After all MBBS na MBBS irrespective of the school as long as the school is accredited by NUC and MDCN. sadMy brother you are not far from the truth, so many misconception from our southern brothers... I tried federal and state uni tire before I carried myself to private. No patient will ask me where I graduated from. Doctor na doctor.
If I had known when my mates were leaving UNN for ABSU for medicine, I for follow them instead of reading physiotherapy in UNN while they went for medicine in ABSU and IGBINEDION.
All of them dey do shakara for me now telling me to pack one corner with my UNN cert.
The private I rejected then claiming it's for less intelligent students is where I finally landed.

las las, if you really want to be a doctor, any accredited med sch in Nigeria is good be it private or not.
once you start working, nobody will ask you where you graduated from. infact its the same lecturer's in public uni that teach us in private uni. Learnt the hard way.

I would like to maximize my time for the upcoming exam
please I need your suggestions

Don’t read Lamlad for jamb, read ababio that is the recommended utme textbook lamlad is just like a past question

I will advice you to get a good physics text and combine with lamlad.

Lamlad physics and biology unlike chemistry are just sub-text. Though they are very good at past questions especially their detailed explanation of answers to questions.

Here is my combo, might be helpful

PHYSICS

New School, P.N OKEKE and Lamlad

BIOLOGY

Modern Biology, Essential and Lamlad

CHEMISTRY

New School, Essential and Lamlad

ENGLISH

Invisible teacher

But if you can get new school physics, modern Biology, new school Chemistry and the Lamlad or explicit series it's okay.

Success!!!

Yes.
I didn't really consider State Universities, though I chose one whose admission criteria don't meet my O'level for MBBS.
I went for DELSU who don't accept JUPEB from another school, except theirs.
I'll still get it anyhow; the faith is that high.

This is not true.

Hello!! Medics,

I want to study med&surg in University of Ibadan. Having followed this thread and Jamb threads, I've learnt some stuffs which might help.

There is no secret than to study hard and smart. Hence, I've struggled to purchase textbooks recommended by successful aspirants (lamlad chemistry, new school physics and modern biology) in addition to essential series at hand.

I've never been a dull student (not bragging pls) but 2020 jamb will be my third try. I was offered a course in 2018 (not U.I though) but I rejected because it wasn't what I want. Not offered anything this year since I didn't meet U.I's cut-off point.

I've started reading since September but I'm not sure if I would be able to finish those textbooks within few months left. Pls how can I achieve this because I'm not a nocturnal person?

I often use CBT practice app but the most frustrating part is that, my score varies after each test. Sometimes; 67, 84, 77, etc. what's really wrong? brain fluctuation? it saddens my heart and makes me less motivated. I want stable 90s and aggregate not less than 330.

Pls help the upcoming!!!

I'm not scared of the intensive competition of this course but her requirements of extremely high intelligence and excellent score to secure a slot.

However; I don't wish it becomes easier, I wish i become better.

Those of you saying lamlad is the required textbook for chemistry jamb, pls debunk That info, use OSEI YAW ABABIO new school chemistry it is the recommended textbook it has everything I doubt if you will see NON METALS and METALS in LAMLAD, LAMLAD Is a past question my brothers, you can’t see diagrams on preparation of some elements in it, use ababio it is bulky try and finish it...! It really worth the time, finishing ababio won’t take more than 3weeks for the slowest reader, I finished it 2weeks during my time (2018) and it really worth it, then solve past questions to get familiar with jamb nature of question
