As expected, Tottenham Hotspur loanee of Nigerian parentage, Luke Amos has been named in the latest EFL Championship Team of the Week by football statistics website Whoscored.

The Queens Park Rangers central midfielder was the star performer for his club as they suffered a 5-3 defeat at the hands of bottom team Barnsley on Saturday at Oakwell, scoring a brace either side of half time.

The game also featured two Nigeria-eligible players in the form of winger Bright Osayi-Samuel and attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.

Assuming Amos had scored a third goal with his head vs Barnsley, he would have netted a perfect hat-trick.

A former England U18 international, he was part of a midfielder four that also included Andrew Ayew (Swansea City), Bradley Johnson (Blackburn Rovers) and Said Benrahma (Brentford).

Amos, who had a rating of 8.67, played two shots against Barnsley with both on target, won two aerial duels, touched the ball 66 times, and completed a team-high three take-ons along with Eze and Osayi-Samuel.

His defensive statistics were also impressive, with a joint game high five tackles made, registered two interceptions and blocked one shot.

Amos has played 14 games in the Championship for Queens Park Rangers, logging 749 minutes.

It’s not about what I think. You can only make deductions from the quote. So what did he say that implies he prefers Nigeria to Belgium or he feels more connected to Nigeriahuh By illusion what did he mean in this context?
People transfer thier self birthed notions and perception and pass them off as proven facts.

To say some people have illusions about playing for England. That's what they said of Tega Abrahams.

But there are some players who feel no affinity to Nigeria. And years ago for instance Ibe when his career was at much higher heights declined to play for Nigeria.

I wanted to skip this but Kai I just can't help it

I find your logic shocking. Why skip the chain of causation? Have you read the debates on the secession clause and the reasons advanced by both parties. Read Azikiwe here in his own words
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/04/27/flashback-why-i-opposed-awolowo-on-secession-zik/amp/

Let's be honest abeg. How easy would it have been to remove a secession clause if it had been inserted in the constitution? Is that how easy constitutional amendments are?

Awolowo should have listened when he had the opportunity but the person who did not listen when the opportunity FIRST presented itself 13 years earlier, at a time unclogged by the complications of war is deftly skipped and you run on to blame Awolowo?

As a people what we hate the most is the mirror. Wahala dey for this country
There are many things in the constitution today that nobody is following, so, what would have made the secession clause different?

Like I said, let everybody face the disaster that we have found ourselves in today. The past is the past and both Azikiwe and Awolowo made their errors, a lot of Easterners still blame Azikiwe for the quagmire today.

A generation that cannot pry themselves out of the claws of an aged dictatorial leader and his henchmen (or is he the henchman?), would not have known what to do with a secession clause. You don't need a secession clause to secede, ask South Sudan.

Common referendum, FG refused to grant it, is it a secession clause they would have allowed? undecided

Some said it's been a poor week for Nigerian players in Europe. Possibly buy not all.

Dominic Iorfa seems to be getting consistent top notch performances.

His was voted into the championship team of the week. His dilemma is whether to go to the EPL in the January window and let his club down or stay and leave at the end of the season.

Reading midfielder Amos had am outstanding game with a brace

You are reading today into the history of yesterday. Today's constitution is not the pre-independence constitution.

1954 was the time the opportunity presented itself not today when we have become set in our ways. Don't you think if that clause had been inserted, all Ojukwu needed when the situation presented itself, was to activate it?(admitted this is conjecture as nothing is guaranteed)

I do not believe in blaming the past because it yields nothing good but if we going to blame let's be true to history.

I think Ndidi is too intelligent to have made such a big gaff. So l don't think the possibility exists that Ndidi would be substituted.

But if Ndidi had done that I could easily imagine Rogers substituting him.

Anybody who does that puts the Manager in a very compromising position. And gives him no other option but to take the player off.
Abeggi intelligence bawo? What have we not seen in football? Did Iheanacho kill someone?

The issue is not about the error of a player. I concede that it was a mistake on his part but was he motivated by malice?

Just look at the celebratory tone in which you have gone on and on, sticking this thing into the young man.

Komekn you are biased. I say this with soberness your words give you away.

Iheanacho scores, you mute it, you'd bring everything out of your arsenal to blast away his achievement. He makes a mistake, you take up your trumpet and blare it loud for days.

Foxes trailing at the King Power Stadium, a switch in formation got the Nigeria forward replaced before the break

Kelechi Iheanacho was substituted in the first half of Leicester City’s 1-1 draw against Norwich City owing to tactical reasons, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.

Iheanacho was replaced by Demarai Gray shortly after the Foxes cancelled out Teemu Pukki’s opener through Tim Krul's own goal in the 38th minute.

Saturday's outing was the 23-year-old's second Premier League start of the season and Rodgers has described his substitution as nothing personal but a change of flow after their slow
“It was one where we wanted to go to 4-3-3 and when we moved him out to the side, he’s not a natural winger, he’s not one who can play on that outside,” the manager was quoted by Leicester Mercury.

“So I can either leave it and wait until half-time or make the change when I did. And then make the other change on half-time. It was purely a tactical one.

“He was fine. He was disappointed because he’s been terrific for us in the past few games. He understands, he knows it was nothing personal, just the flow of the game needed to change.

“It was probably the right result. We didn’t start so well in our pressing and then our passing was slow. In fairness to Norwich, they played well in that opening period.

“I felt we needed to change it. We started with the same shape as last week but it wasn’t quite working for us. We made the change and the last 15 minutes of the first half was better when we went to 4-3-3.

“In the second half we were much better, but it looked like the ball was never going to drop for us. We got the goal back as well earlier but we just couldn’t quite find that quality and final pass to get the winner.”

Before his replacement, Iheanacho was involved in a melee with Norwich City players for continuing play after the ball was kicked out to seek medical treatment for Emiliano Buendia.

In his reaction to the incident, Rodgers said the Super Eagles forward, scorer of four goals in five games this season, misunderstood the situation and he could have been expelled.

“He totally misread that situation. The ball should go back. Thankfully nothing came of that,” he continued.

“Most times the ball will be given back. It led to the situation which might have led to a red card which would have been an awkward one as well.

“They were disappointed that he wanted to try to get in and score. Young Kels, I’m not sure what he was thinking to be honest. He’s an honest boy. He’s clearly got kicked. Thankfully it was sorted out and nothing else happened.”
Komekn shey you see how tempered Rogers was in his assessment of the situation unlike the gusto and relish which has characterized your own assessment.

You have been here for quite a long time but in all that time, you have not taken advantage to increase your capacity and or your knowledge.

That's dissapointing.

Basis elementary comprehension you seem to lack. As a result your sense of deduction is warped and you presume your perception are substantive and fact. That's essentially delusional.

You practice the principles of commercial advertising which is to use psychological coercion by repititive enforcement. Essentially if you keep saying something all the time you believe it and think it's true.

First issue is that on this thread a large segment of people are literally justifying his action, once because KC is involved he is above reproach and can do wrong.

Nonsensical propositions pushed left, right and center deflecting blame from him to everyone else. Referee, Manager, Norwich players, etc.

There is nothing to celebrate but there is a lot to be ashamed about this highly dishonourable act.

You are thr one so blinded by favoritism and extreme favoritism about KC that anybody who does not join you in euphoric ramblings is against him KC and a HATER.

I challenge you to give one post that justifies your preposterous inferences.

KC scores l acknowledge it but l don't celebrate it like he has won the Ballon D'or.

Below screenshots of my recent biased, prejudiced and hate filled deductions on KC to underpin your well thought out inferences.

Gbam. Instead of looking for way out, someone wants to blame somebori.
